Apparently france has had the best budget in decades because of their already existing athletic facilities. They can split up Venues between Oakland, San Fran and San Diego, like they did france. Not all Venues were posted in Paris. Even Surfing was still hosted in Hawaii this year so it will be even closer in Cali. even on their own coast. To help with cost and taxes, its definitely good for multiple cities to pitch in but we will see. The bad thing about Atlanta was atlanta paid most of the bill and hosted most of it all as well. But cali overall probably has the most sports venues in the U.S.

@@TipOfAfrica0010On the third day, NBC announced that the opening ceremony broke a record with the best numbers since London 2012. Better than Rio 2016 & Tokyo 2021. The economy (+ money saved), ecology (people waiting for a place to live will have the empty buildings), great security (with foreigners help tbh), etc. 🤔😉

To hang on a rope is not a stunt. Everybody can do the same but much higher and longer on a zipline in mountains. Obviously he failed at the only thing he had to do: to open surely an US flag during the fall. He pulled several times on a kind of bag on his leg and it didn't worked.

I’ll be the stand alone unpopular commentator here. People are star struck and I get that, it was a cool stunt and generally amusing idea, but, TC is not the ideal to represent our country and be our flag bearer. People lost their minds thinking the artistic opening ceremony was sacrilegious yet you are celebrating someone’s entrance who while was in some decent movies, holds down women, treats colleagues like garbage and belongs to a polarizing cult. Hollywood nominated Tom Cruise to be their new beacon because his movie saved theatrical distribution sales after the pandemic nearly did it in, Hollywood needs to rethink their chosen icon and remember that we as a country are hosting the world of sports and young athletes, not showing off a movie star, ick. The over dramatic narratives we push in the media is a lot of the reason other countries don’t like us. This was just a smoke screen to allow Hollywood to make some career moves on the athletes backs, and you’re buying into it. This made Americans look ridiculous, lacking in humility and respect for the honor and it doesn’t encompass the collective in our country…instead it was just another Hollywood lens. We can do better than a shallow display, we have better role models for our world stage and I sincerely hope we make better choices moving forward so the U.S.A. (not just LA or Hollywood) can honor our athletes and shake their hands with gratitude rather than trying to push them away with veiled friendliness. I felt it a gross attempt to upstage a classy ending to an otherwise united and incredibly inclusive Olympic Games and a music filled party in which all of the singers and musicians were fabulous. Have your parties LA with all the stars you want but keep our world athletes as the stars of the Olympics, these are their moments to shine, not yours.
