High Profile Drop CTRL vs GMMK Pro - The Shorter Version

Hey everybody. Both these keyboards can be absolutely phenomenal with a little bit of time, effort, and money. The GMMK Pro comes a little more complete right out of the box as it comes pre-installed with 2 layers of foam and some decent stabilizers. I know people have complained in the past about them being over-lubed from the factory but I did not experience that at all. The only thing I had to do to get the GMMK Pro to a point that I loved was swap the default metal top plate for a polycarbonate one, then add some lubed switches and keycaps and I was in business.
The Drop CTRL is still a phenomenal keyboard, but it does cost more and you get less up front. It doesn't come with any foam layers, the stabilizers are pretty bad, and although it does have preset functions and support QMK, it does NOT have any usable software program like the GMMK Pro. So, for 30 dollars more, you get a little less. However, the CTRL is SIGNIFICANTLY, and I mean SIGNIFICANTLY easier to take apart and work with. I had owned mine for a year and a half before I got the GMMK Pro on a Black Friday Sale for 85 dollars, which is too good to pass up and I've also wanted to make this video forever.
With both of these, expect to spend another 100 or more getting yourself a nice set of switches, keycaps, lube, foam, top plates, etc. You are missing out if you buy one of these and plan to leave it stock. Experiment. Try stuff. You might just get hooked.

I had so much trouble with my GMMK keyboards disconnecting randomly, I'm getting rid of all of them. No more Glorious keyboards ever again.

I think that the GMMK Pro will probably be better when buying as I have used mutiple glorious products and they have satisfied me in the past.
