Awesome, awesome, awesome! .. thank you so much JR !! .. can NEVER have too much instruction on release .. so VERY important !!! .. THANK YOU SO MUCH !!!
I want to elevate my game so I just ordered your book. One of the things I need to work on is my release. I know if I put the time in to practice I will start to see results because I'm getting close to perfecting my release . I enjoy watching your vids and look forward to seeing more and hopefully this helps me develop into a better player.
Could you discuss the wrist orientation. Just before release your wrist appeared either straight or slightly cupped. The weight of the ball always folds my wrist back. I don’t know if that is related to the spread of the holes or whether I need a lighter ball or if there is someway the down swing can get the wrist back to straight before release.
I am trying to transfer from 2 finger to a traditional style. Just hurts too much. But now it just seems weird. But I have to get a new ball so that should help.
Oops watch video b4 that’s good but why same mistakes. Have to rebuild new muscle memory. Thanks again. I’m 67 sr moments. But learned more in last 5 years. Then my whole career. Keep videos coming. Very helpful!!!
Do you have a video for people with a bad back? I love bowling but its hard on the back. Also i cant do the 4 step. I can only throw from the foul line. Thanks
Hi JR, Tremendously love your content to help me bowl better since my retirement. I currently only bowl in local leagues. Do you recommend or use hybrid balls? Regards Bruce
A thought.. in your lecture between the differences between behind the ball or around the ball you should also include a close-up of that and also in slow motion
Good video JR, I am sick of seeing the backwards yo yo, most of us don't grasp that bull, because we don't release the ball with the hand going backwards. Am I wrong ?
This drill helps a little but the problem is the ball is resting on the lane not being carried. You cant duplicate the release with the balls weight resting on the lane. I can do this drill and get a lot of revs on it but not when Im bowling. .
Hi JR, I’m stuck at home due to sickness and won’t be able to go to the lanes for a few more months. I have one of those Eileen’s Bowling Buddy Rev Trainers (one with the rollers). Can I simulate your drill at home using the trainer?
I'm practicing this drill a lot when I bowl alone, but when I try a full approach my wrist tends to collapse and I'm always dropping my ball. How would i work on this?
I'm not an expert by any means, but I had a similar issue (don't know if it's caused by the same issue as yours), and I found that the *V* shape your index and middle finger makes while holding the ball should point towards the lane. I used to try and point my middle and ring finger at the lane, and it felt like my wrist was going to break (now I can hook the ball much more).
Not a huge fan of telling people to follow through "up".. I like to look at the bottom of the swing, like your hand is a stiff bristle brush being pushed forward and when the thumb clears, you are releasing that tension and letting the fingers follow through forward instead of up
The tilt is coming from the way he is turning his wrist through the ball. He's not trying to teach you how to work on tilt, this is about rev rate. Tilt will come from how much your wrist is cocked through the release ( in this case his wrist is very cocked all the way through) or chicken winging it will have a similar effect. With the weight of the ball in your hand, having that much of a cocked wrist would be rather hard if you wanted to maintain a loose wrist for the revs and also still have ball speed down the lane.
@@stevenwilson8067 thanks Steve. I was giving JR a hard time we go back. I really like your explanation of the tilt. Tilt is hot topic of mine bc it is not explain properly to bowlers in bowling alleys. Jr does a great job informing the bowling community on these topics.
That foul joke is crossing the line!

Hahaha, The foul joke was excellent

Great Drill! Definitely will be using it this week!
Love the thumbnail JR. Index finger position is sooooo important. If you can keep your index finger pointed down lane, your hand will follow.

Thanks for the tip, but what do u have against Jacob
Thanks good stuff I have to feel thumb out first can’t wait til next practice session!!!
Just ordered your book JR, your doing a great job on this channel , cheers!

I gave you a like and sub, this was very helpful. This is what Iv'e been needing to work on and you gave the perfect exercise to do it, so thanks.
When you yo-yo on the release, is it natural that the thumb comes out first then the fingers lift?

My knees are my problem i can't bend down to much when i release the ball
I keep seeing and hearing that you come straight up out of the ball, so you rotate to create revs, makes sense
I think that will help my game!
Jr raymond what an awesome video
How do I become a member of your bowlerfi community
Head to www.tenpindoctors.com
I needed this. I am a newbie. Thank yu.
do you pull up on the middle and ring finger holes with release?
Cool tech bowling bowling Jr Raymond
How long is your span and how much reverse do you use. I know everyone's different but I want to know
Zero reverse
Thanks! Do you recommend a specific hybrid brand?
Mr Raymond Jr where are you located for training?

I like hybrids. I feel like they give you traction like solids in the back but still cleaner in the front
I'm with JR on this. Hybrids are really good especially if you take the polish off.
One of my problems thumb out not fast enough working on it thanks
A thought.. in your lecture between the differences between behind the ball or around the ball you should also include a close-up of that and also in slow motion
Is there a way to do this at home with no trainer device?
I practiced this drill Sunday. I couldn't keep my balance. I'm wondering how I did this wrong. 2:26

That should tell you you’re doing it wrong through the approach then

Yep you sure can
What is the ideal ball weight for a 40 year old beginner weighing 90kg?
I would love one those shirts
I like JR

Would have to sign up for virtual lessons at www.tenpindoctors.com for me to be able to see

If none of that works, then maybe try buying a wrist brace.
Man its damn struggle to get the thumb out first
Clock positions vary but it’s always 5 o’clock somewhere 😂
Foul like Buttruff is the mew "bend it like Beckham". 😂
Good to see that there's a house where the foul lights work haha
So.... foul like Buttruff and make the Rerr... Rerr... Rerr sound. GOT IT!😂

Who said to follow through up?
@@Tenpindoctors my bad... I misheard while driving... Around 3:00 you say to pull your fingers up to hold on to the ball while doing that drill..
Well I guess with the foul BUZZER GOING OFF THREE TIMES MEANS NO 300 game 😂😂😂😂😂 great video
Why so much tilt?
