Nice batrep as always...at 16:50 when the leader fights with the bladekyn and kill him, shouldn't the bladekyn have a chance to hit him back before dieying as per his ability "Irrepressible Hardiness"?
@CanYouRollaCrit as I don't have access to the tac ops I was just reading the rule from the goongammer article which said half damage from the first duce.
@@CanYouRollaCrit No, they can not heal a target that has been revived already that same turning point. That is the only restriction, unless brood brothers medic is different for some reason.
Very cool. Well played john despite the cold dice. Do you think the placement of the Pistol Dwarf (36:25) was a mistake, seeing as he got charged? And if so, what would you have done in retrospect?
I played proxy yaegir twice and I see some problems with this team however what I find really funny Yaegir are supposed to be faster than Salvagers, less tanky and deal good damage in short range bcs shotguns Salvagers are supposed to be more tanky and slower than yaegir but Yaegir have less movement than heavier armored salvagers Yaegir have a strategic ploy that arguably makes them more tanky than salvagers and salvagers have the proximity strategic ploy that makes them deal more damage within 6 inches than yaegir lmao I have a feeling Yaegir will struggle a lot against elites
Really good bat rep honestly, surprised you manage to keep it under 50mins with 2 new teams, although I assume there was editing, keeps it really light and enjoyable
Love your batreps, always super competitive and you guys play very fast. Question: how did you get a barricade on the vantage point? Doesnt the scout option barricade only let you put one wholly within ur deployment?
@@CanYouRollaCrit omg Im so dumb it says wholly within your territory, not wholly within your deployment zone. Now I understand why I was never choosing that option haha. Its indeed very strong
At 33:10, shouldn’t the yaegir leader received 6 damage? 2 normal are saved, 2 crits remain at 4 damage each. A crit is halved by the ploy (2dmg), the other crit goes 4dmg.
I probably won't be building the knife fighter, even from his datacard he seemed underwhelming. I guess he's for charging people who are weak and bad at melee? Which always seemed like the weakest role to me.
I really like your battle reports, but could you please somehow label the operators that are on the table, because through the top view it's hard to determine which is which?
@@CanYouRollaCrit Maybe a magnetic "base base" that goes under the operatives and has a small tab stick out? The tabs could be numbered and lettered (team numbers vs team letters) and a tally of operators and their labels are overlayed in their deployment zones? (Eg. Operative A shoots operative 1)
I like your bat reps because you guys do a very good job of actual gameplay like following rules and being very precise with every interaction. However I think this is my least favorite bat rep channel for kill team overall because I pick up a very adversarial tone in your gameplay. You were very nice to give him the "take-back" on the little guy you blew up with the mine when he wished he would have capped first, but every interaction with the halving damage mechanic felt very "gotcha" and intentionally fast with where damage was going to try and mislead him. I don't think you were actually misleading/wrong on the math at all but it did just feel like you took repeated advantage of his understanding of the ploy like "first" damage or whether it matters what their order is or who gets it. Again that's his responsibility but it's sure convenient to always get the better of an interaction because of an opponents misunderstanding. My opinion doesn't really matter but it's just my perception of how things played out here and in previous videos and it's a bit off-putting.
40:16 goggles only work on unready operatives
Ohh my bad 😅
More battle reps plz.
More are coming soon (:
Would love to see how you play Chaos Cult

That...is a good point but you must remember that I cannot read 🫠😭😭😭
@@CanYouRollaCrit 🤣🤣 well...still an impressive result for the short (but full of swag) kings!
Yeah they're actually a lot of fun as you Yaegir all over the place
20:32 with the half damage ploy i think you should strike with the normal hit first. Damage would half to 2 but you still have 2 crits lrft.
It doesn't have to be the first attack dice, you can choose which dice of damage to reduce during the first combat or shooting attack
@CanYouRollaCrit as I don't have access to the tac ops I was just reading the rule from the goongammer article which said half damage from the first duce.
How got the Theyn Superconceal? I don’t understand it, maybe cause im new to killteam but would like to learn 🤓
Oh it's one of the Yaegir strategic ploys (:
26:32 why couldn't the medic revive the sapper?
It used the healing already. Medics can't heal and revive
@@CanYouRollaCrit No, they can not heal a target that has been revived already that same turning point. That is the only restriction, unless brood brothers medic is different for some reason.
Fantastic. Just getting into KT and I found this to be quite illuminating. So many inter-faction interactions…
Ah thanks, hope it's useful (:
At 16:47 you should have rolled the bladekyn’s combat dice, since you would be able to resolve a die after being incapacitated.
Yeah I forgot 😅
Very cool. Well played john despite the cold dice. Do you think the placement of the Pistol Dwarf (36:25) was a mistake, seeing as he got charged? And if so, what would you have done in retrospect?
Probably used him to shoot the Grenade Launcher instead 😅

Yeah, they need +1 move at least. Hilariously sad that Hearthkyn are faster and shut them down
Where does one get a Charles? Love your guys dynamic - informative with a competitive friendly vibe.
Haha somewhere in London

The original length was nearly 3 hours 😅

Yeah especially with silent snipers that ignore obscuring
@@CanYouRollaCrit definitely gonna start using that with my pathfinders
U gave away the guy who got hit by the demo charge, u could've survived it, but played it like it was ap2

The first time the leader dies he is brought down to 1 wound instead. He took 6 damage but only had 4 woudns left so took 3 instead
Thx for raport!
No worries, thanks for watching (:
where di you get dat laser due?
Dakota from Squad Games/Lusters Workshop (:
Yaegirs look fun bros.
It's Yaegiring time
Why the free dashes of the beggining of brood bros?
Cult disguises, their equipment (:
How can they start with 4 CP? I thought it was 2+1 CP turn one.
Nope, it's now 3+1CP
@@CanYouRollaCrit did they change that in the new rules? Or did I miss something?
It was changed with crit ops (:
team-wide super conceal suuuuucks. My Pathfinders are gonna struggle.
I think PF will be fine vs them 😅
Good 😂
Need to use magus or patriarch, I think they bring the best out of the team!
You'll see the Patriarch soon 👀

He's a useful tool, especially as a melee piece that can charge from conceal
Really? I thought he seemed great! Remember they’re a horde army at heart so they aren’t going to have elite amounts of power

Maybe? Would just take a lot of work sadly
