Wyrmblade was my main team for a year and a half straight, so it’s great to see them on the channel! Don’t forget the Neophyte Leader’s Shadow Vector ability - you can hand out one of two free tac ploys every turn!
You guys make really easy to follow battle reports. With great camera angles and rule run downs. Surprising to see how little followers you have. Keep up the good work I LOVE your videos. The follows will come!! Thank you dudes
I didn't know how keen I'd be on Bheta-Decima when seeing the Warcom articles, but you guys do such a great job on your bat reps that I've actually REALLY enjoyed this season so far. That said, I'm up for whatever content you guys want to produce! Thanks for the wonderful vids :)
As a GSC man, I love seeing wyrmblade... though it's a bummer that this match was decided by a lot of luck (good and bad) rather than cool careful planning. No diss to the player at all, they didn't get the opportunity to play smart - the dice were so crazy there wasn't room for it. The generations of planning went towards putting a thumbtack in the shrivetalon's boot, I guess. Hope to see more of them, great vid as always.
Thanks! and yeah that's dice game for you. The idea that things can go horribly wrong or right from some rolls makes games like these exciting and fun. Play long enough and you'll defiantly get both. still Good gameplay will skew the rng in your favor though
I’d love to see Phobos vs wyrmblade. I think they would tear them apart. They have all the perfect tools, reivers grav chuting in the beginning, ignoring jump tests then flying off the platforms. Then your shooting guys can also ignore all the obscuring.
It would be curious how that would play out. since the effects of a guard action would be nearly map wide, instead of confined to a room. I imagen eliete teams would like it even more in contrast to horde. We do get a small taste of that with the Phobos Marksman
@@2CasualYT could be cool if it was a marker you put down, where if any model moves within a few inches of that marker (or between your model and the marker) then they get a shot
Great bat rep! I have a question, doesn't act with the shadows only give obscuring to light terrain, meaning that if an operative is in a line of sight more than 2' from a light terrain it would be obscuring? Thanks!1
2 reasons. There was a flex of chaos blessings on the list, so not all had them.. . Second Sometimes it's mathematically correct to still roll the 3+. Specifically when you're not in cover and you need only 1 save, it's ever so slightly better. Even stronger if you intend to CP reroll. If you retain from cover already the invuln extra dice is nice
This is not criticism, asking to learn. Is your leader tzeench or was it the Icon barer? If the leader, on turn 1 would it have not been worth fishing for crit saves with the invuln to ignord the AP? Hilariously bad dice, entertaining batrep thanks
From wahapedia: Friendly operatives hiding have a Group Activation characteristic of 1, are considered to be within the killzone for activation purposes and can be activated as normal.
There's a thing called 'crit ops 2022' it changes up the tac ops and some minor changes to the rules to improve quality of life. One of them is you get 1 more cp
Yeah. they were kind of exciting in open board bc you would maybe see 1 in every 50 games. but now its rough when 1/6 of your team is stuck in the open
Jump rolls feel more at home in Necromunda. Elite operatives feel like they should be able to do it with less chance of randomly falling to their death.
As a wyrmblade player ... this was very satisfying to watch :) gg all
You will be seeing them more. I actually enjoy them a lot and ad mech -Pond

Love the Batreps legends! Keep em coming, would thoroughly enjoy seeing a Legionary vs Vetguard matchup if possible!

When that 2nd jump test fails... 😭
Edit: Oh my god 😭😭😭😂😂😂
Would love to see open boards with some of the older season rules, such as overwatch from ITD

Yea. Happy about the jump test removal
Those dice are currrrrsed. Dang!
Poor Pete. ): Those dice-rolls were disgusting. Wrymblade are really strong on B:D.
Haha those dice!!!
Omg, what a rolls. With this luck a rematch on another board would be suitable. 4 failed jump tests in a raw...
haha yeah, having a lot of fun on BD. But jump tests though are so rough, we'll likely see that rule changed soon
Watching batteps has me wishing I hadn't sold off a lot of my KT stuff.
Dice gods against Chaos this game… problem with KT in general is if you wiff that hard that early it’s over.
At this point the second i see Pete at the start i know the poor lad is gonna fail at least two jumping tests and re-roll his misses into misses
🤣
Give me some more Jungle terrain!
Gonna combine Bheta-Decima, close quarters, and jungle rules all at once. No one can stop us!
Lol that was brutal
Two words: Veterans of the Long War.
Ok that was five words but it would have saved you a grip of cp turn 1

Yep, but only when an operative has a conceal order.
Great game and report as usual! 😊 One question though: why wasn't Pete using all 3 dice versus the AP1 shots? Didn't he have a 4++ save to work with?
2 reasons. There was a flex of chaos blessings on the list, so not all had them..

A lot of one-sided beatdowns on the channel recently. Someone needs to get some new dice.
Sometimes dice do be dice haha 😆

Wouldn't the Brood Adepts in hiding still have GA2? Dont you have to move the second Brood Adept right after the first one?
From wahapedia:
Friendly operatives hiding have a Group Activation characteristic of 1, are considered to be within the killzone for activation purposes and can be activated as normal.
When they are in hiding they are consider to have GA 1 instead. -Pond
@@2CasualYT Thank you, this is why I ask.
Why do yall start with 4 CP? New to the game and love the vids, but isnt 3 CP the normal amount to start with?

@@2CasualYT are critical ops different from the core missions? (E.g. domination, consecration, etc)
@@Nickj19 they narrowed the mission list to more competitive and fair ones. So sort of

Worst heavy gunner roll ever! :D

You should just ignore these jump rolls, to be honest. They make for such unsatisfying games.
