Farstalkers are my favorite team, haven't had the chance to run them yet after the balance dataslate. Had to click this video as soon as I saw it pop up! Seems like they had decent play into kommandos, better on ITD than before.
Definitely makes them feel like they have a bit more killing threat. Still it's rough to bring down an ork in melee.
But keep your bowman alive, break even on primary, and try not die too fast and you can do solid
@@2CasualYT My bowman can't throw three crits, he always throws three 2's.
6:00 the bird negates light cover.
The comms man shouldn't get his cover save.
" that enemy operative cannot use Light terrain as Cover for that shooting attack."
Cut-Skin has Vicious Duellist
Im here! Thanks for another report guys! How about new teams? What you want more Mandrakes or Nightlords? :)
Tbh they're both so cool. I have to go for the night lords bc I love playing elite teams. Mandrakes have cooler models imo. Edgiest box yet
-Riggon
@@2CasualYT my man! I will proxy my Gaunts Ghosrs as Nightlords for extra roleplay :D
I think it would be better if you showed the top shot for a little longer while you were moving the units. It’s a little too quick to get a good mental picture of the positioning.
A very enjoyable bat rep - you have a new follow!
Glad you enjoyed!
Thanks for the bat rep guys
Love your battlereports, on a side note how did you do the kroot skin.
It's been a while since I painted them. I think I used Army Painter Speed Paint camo green, then dry brushed light grey, washed with Argax earth shade, and finished with AK Interactive ultra matt varnish.
For some reason I just cant seem to pull off Balance the Books, especially in open
Something that I find useful is being very concealed in deployment. you should only have 1 maybe 2 engage orders, and activate them last. no one should be shot unless its a high value trade or necessary for a primary point.
Then dedicate the minimum to score 3 primary and everyone else should be pretty safe. + farstalk can be used to flip any kroot that took a shot and send them back to safety
If you find yourself in a total shootout, kroot are unlikely to succeed
also if its a terrain issue, map packs can be super awesome. sometimes people place terrain in a way that is unsafe
We've been using the turning point tactics Octavius setups, the unit I find the hardest to position tp1 is the pistolier. Trying to push up without being caught by vantage is a tale as old as time.
Conceal is a good tip, I've started going all conceal and just letting the 2 silent shots try what they can.
Coming out of a very ITD heavy year, I get a bit overconfident in my ability to melee and shoot, but like you said, Kroot don't stand well in an all out shootout.
So siked to see KROOT BABY!
like your explanation and planing coments
Thanks! Glad you liked it. We know that most people probably can't read our minds as we play so saying what we're thinking as we play really helps
Hey guys! Great batrep ;)
Small question for sneaky git: it enables you to go through ITD walls and opens door ? 😮
Hard disagree on Ork shooting not being good.
Cut Skin does Mortals for every discarded dice in combat. Including parried dice and missed attacks roles as well. Every bit of damage Kroot can take, they gotta take it!
Not for parries, unfortunately. The MWs are for discarded dice in the Roll Attack Dice step, while parries happen in the Resolve Successful Hits step.
@@BigTexJ" If they parry, one of their opponent’s successful hits is discarded."
@@santino2323 "Vicious Duellist: Each time this operative fights in combat, in the Roll Attack Dice step of that combat, for each attack dice your opponent discards, the enemy operative in that combat suffers 1 mortal wound."
@@BigTexJ 👉👉👉👉 🏆🏆 good call
@@santino2323 I thought the same thing at first, but it might be OP. You practically need a law degree to parse out rules to play this game. 😅
Hey guys awesome battle report, and great map layout too. If you want some balanced maps for Bheta-decima I have created a map pack for some tournaments I am running.
Glad you enjoyed! Always appreciate a good map pack, we're looking at some. Throw.a link here or on discord

missed opportunity to show the digimon. :|
Alas, there is no pechramon.
Patamon comes phonetically close
shouldn't recover item be placed in your opponent's half the board?
The marker was by .1 inches (it's size is a very small point, not the size of a token you use). But the control range does spill over into your territory, so can control it safely on your side
It makes it very easy to score and pretty much the best tac too in the game.
Hahahhah Yeeeees
