    Fantastic video as always. That helped me a lot for planning how to build them. I think I'll skip on the warriors alltogether and build both heavy gunners - really like the look of both of those weapons!

    I ended up magnetizing my heavy gunner. It turned out to be easier than I expected (and a lot easier than the kill broker)

      Did you manage to magnetise the kill broker? I'm hoping I can do the same thing but haven't started yet. Will also by my first attempt at magnetising...

      @@retnuHDJ I messed up on their right wrist. I'd recommend goin for as small of magnets as you can get, and only put it on one side. The other side put a piece of metal (I used bits of paperclips).

    Really hope they sell the Kroot Hounds in their own pack of 10. Like Flesh Hounds.

      You can buy the older models in a pack of 4, but these new ones are awesome.

    You clearly could have built the guy with the perching bird out of a normal kroot from the regular kit, either by grafting the whole arm assembly on or just using the warrior parts and sticking the bird onto a suitable perch. The 40K kroot are far more modular than this kit, and their own extra bits would add more character and customization options to the KT ones - and vice-versa.
    If you want separate kroot rifles without hands molded on just get the regular kroot box, or ask any Tau player, they're bound to have a few in their bits box. Save the ones with hands for converting 40K crew. Both kroot kits will be a lot more versatile and varied if you use bits from each.

    I want to do two heavy gunners, but wondering what model or how to get the gun and arms… good video to warn about that coming

    Sounds like if someone wanted to use them for 40k anyway for 4 hounds (not me) getting a second box (once they release individually in 3 months) and building everyone as intented (alway picking different options ofc) might be the way to go. Both Tracker and Stalker look waaay cooler kneeling! At this point you can then WYSIWYG everything besides leader weapon options (they have 3, though gameplay wise you don't want the carbine I think) as a nice bonus!

    Lots of the warrior parts fits very easily on the old Kroot models, as well. Not as different - but a bit of variety.

    One problem I have as a WH40k beginner - I dont know which weapon is which.
    For example the broker - is it the Pulse carbine, or the pulse rifle..?!

    • @tabletopskirmishgames
      @tabletopskirmishgames  Год назад

      You can choose any weapon you think looks cool and then use it as any of the weapons. As long as you make it clear to your opponent then it's no problem. I most always go for rule of cool. I made some Intercessors with a completely different weapon from the Eliminators and it works great.

      @TheSilverDragon1 Год назад +1

      @@richmcgee434 I have seen the build instructions, both the kroot and the hounds are on 28mm. You would need to put them on 25mm bases and buy some adapters of ebay to play them in kill team.

    • @scelonferdi
      @scelonferdi Год назад +1

      @@TheSilverDragon1 Yeah, Kill Team seems to move away from 40k compatibility a bit. Imho that's not a bad thing. As Blackstone before it allows them to model stuff not typically found on the Battlefield. Explorators, Hrud, Rogue Trader and Inquisitor retinues, Votann Prospectors/Salvagers... The posibilies are endless!

    • @richmcgee434
      @richmcgee434 Год назад +2

      @@TheSilverDragon1 Looking at their store, these are one of about four kits that have 28.5mm bases then, all of which are recent Kill Team figs. The fact that they invented a new bases size (there was never anything between 25mm and 32mm in AoS or 40K prior to these, nor does there need to be) is a really shitty GW sales gimmick, and at least as annoying as the old "sell ork boyz with 25mm bases but rewrite the rules so they have to use 32mm:" thing they kept going for years while they cleaned out old stock.
      Going to have to check every single listing for base sizes from now on, I see. One more reason to hate GW.
