Dang It Andy. I always think I have a color scheme ready to rock for whatever new troop I'm painting but then I watch your videos and I have to change what I'm doing. Thank you for all of the wonderful and inspiring content you put out.
I consume Kroot content like they consume (probably) dead enemies and this video was a particularly tasty morsel. Another easy to follow, great looking paint job. I've got an Idea in the back of my brain for a squad of albino Kroot and this killteam might be the perfect place to try it out.
Your video is very informative, I am new to the table top and found this video VERY helpful. For those that are making a list of paints too here are the ones mentioned. Primer Chaos Black Grey Seer Base Leadbelcher Balthasar Gold Corvus Black Rhinox Hide Screamer Pink Shade Seraphim Septia Kroak Greene Contrast Black templar Cygor Brown Gore-grunta Fur Layer Ironbreaker Nurgling Green Yriel Yellow
This looks awesome, I only just learned about the Kroot recently as in when this kill team was announced I had heard about them and seen some but I didn't know much about them. They are awesome! Can't wait to get the box of them when it's released
Great job. I won't be working on the mini's just yet. I ordered two boxes, as my main focus is the scenery. So hopefully I'll have it all prepped and ready for the next video. With so much to do, can you please make it as simple and fast as possible 😉lol
Question for ya. Did you ever decide on a basing sceeme for your kill teams? I am just finishing my navy breachers and have gove for a space hulk panel theme and liking how it's turning out. But i'm going to be doing the kroot team soon and not sure what to do. My go for some sort of wasteland theme maybe. Curious to know what you ended up doing.
Kind of. I decided that I was just going to paint them to match armies. So they would get more use so my kroot will match my tau and stuff like that as apposed to trying to make it have its own schem.
@@MediocreHobbies gotcha thanks. I've been doing my navy brachera in their own theme with a sci-fi space hulk look. But the kroots I was leanning towards like you said and giving them a more standard basing. Was thinking more of an alien landscape maybe?
Turned out really nice! Is the chaos black and grey seer sprays required or can i use vallejo black and light grey through airbrush? Will that work fine with contrast paints you think?

I will be doing the scenery video soon don’t worry. Don’t spray your scenery before you see the video it’s important. Glad you liked the video pal.
holy smokes that paintjob is amazing :) hope you show a tutorial for the Kill Team Blooded minis
I’m confused as to what the blooded are? Did I miss something? Thanks for the kind words.
@@MediocreHobbies the blooded they’re just traitor guardsmen they came out in the Moroch box
@@iconthe7324 there actually the only killteam set I missed. I will get my hands on them at some point and do some videos. Don’t worry.
@@MediocreHobbies can’t wait for it! your videos are a life saver

Subscribing for sure! Love this scheme. Your work is great! What colour did you do the snout and the nails/claws
It as just black contrast. Thanks for the sub. Appreciate it.
at 4:38, the Kroot's beak and nails were painted. What color was used there? Is that just more templar?
It is indeed.
This is really nice. Were the Kroot one of the T'au client races? For some reason I'm thinking they are, but I'm not sure
I think so -- there's a Kroot unit attached to a Tau delegation as mercenaries in one of the Ciaphas Cain books.
They are part of the Tau collective like Vespid.
@@Skinofgod That's what I thought, I couldn't remember since Really the only lore I know is what I've learned from listening to a podcast.
They are indeed.
Turned out really nice!

That should work just as well
Ye for sure that would work a treat. I just avoid airbrushing on the channel so I don’t leave people out who don’t have one.
Cool, thanks! Can't really use the spray at the moment so i will give it a go
