He's not the Mozart, he is the god and the creator of Death metal, don't understate him by calling him Mozart, he was much more than that. He was a true genius. R.I.P Chuck
Its weird to say finally when the dude invented the genre, and it’s also important to recognize that classical music plays a massive role in the structure and design of many metal bands modern and otherwise. Lets not put artists on a pedestal. Chuck was a great person and composer who inspired many young people to follow their dreams of innovating heavy music.
@@MaybeAdvik Dude Chuck did not invent Death Metal. Possessed '7 Churches' was out in 1985, Deaths first album came out in 1987, two full years later. It was many bands and a scene and even though the New York and Swedish bands came out later they were also doing it in that same time period, unsigned. I hate the revisionist history with Chucks fans. He is the #1 Metal God in Death Metal but the narrative is not correct he did not 'invent' Death metal he DEFINED it, its two different things. Song that got me into extreme metal. Nowadays all I listen to is various types of death and black metal, but for me, it all comes back to Crystal fucking Mountain. One of the hardest hitting songs ever

You people out there who did see him live years ago I envy you. What an honour it must have been. As someone that's been on stage, I have no idea how he did it. Anxiety can kick in and your hand may slip and fuck up your fret, but Chuck was literally playing 10/10 riffs and the fucking solos.
