TENG GIVEAWAY UPDATE: you might’ve noticed I’ve blurred out the giveaway date and time as due to an extremely tough personal situation at the moment I’m delaying it for a few weeks. I’ll be doing the live stream on the 29th May at 7pm UK time. that gives me some time to sort things out personally. I’m really sorry to delay it like this but I’m not fit to do a livestream at the moment at all. I hope you all understand and best of luck with the giveaway ❤
Oh wow, finally someone who doesn't pretend like selling cars is a get rich quick and easy scheme and there's actually A LOT of risk and work involved. Thanks for giving people this honest insight!
Haha thanks man! All about showing the truth, but unfortunately looking at views on other videos people prefer the lucky flips where I make a lot of money easily but they’re rare!
I'd say this is actually quite a risky flip on his end. Potentially making 1k - 1.5k profit when the car only drives 30mph is quite a big risk, but yeah I've noticed most car flippers are located in the US and the cars they get there are insanely profitable, alot of them just require a detail and that's it. It's quite difficult over here in Australia, seems like the UK as well. Same thing for phone flipping, alot easier in the US, and in the UK seems to me similar difficulty as Australia.
ig people over here in uk, australia and germany where im from arent too lazy to check what your stuff is actually worth like in the us at least it seems like that go me at this point 😂
I can't even explain how good it is to find channels like yours doing this kind of stuff, especially in the UK so it's actually relatable. Looks like other people feel the same way cause your subs are jumping up by the day. Keep it up man!
I know you failed to turn a profit, but - you didn’t just sell a problem into someone else. That’s admirable. I’m hoping the ad rev and other bits and bobs treats you kindly for this so you aren’t that hard up.
Thanks man I really do appreciate the words! I can’t complain as the ad revenue is a bonus but not enough to keep flipping unless I start getting some profitable cars!
@@Josh.Sanderson I hear that. I’m gutted you didn’t turn a profit on that car as well, but it can’t be denied that you grafted. More class then most mate, even when buying from garages they do bare minimum to flog a car. Keep going, you’ll find your groove, trust me. Good content as well.
I had one of those - worst car I ever had. It was so poorly built. For instance, the plastic headlight adjusters both broke when I tried to use them. The local VW garage refusing to service it because "they don't do cars older than 12 years" should have given me a clue. They knew how crap it was. The driveshaft was loose (which apparently is a common problem - and it had already been replaced by the previous owner) which meant you couldn't go faster than 83 km/h
Thank you very much for showing the reality. Your videos are fun and enjoyable, and it's interesting to see your journey. 🙂 I reckon there's a balance in car flipping where if a car is too old it might have more problems and won't be worth much even at its best, so might be worth aiming for nothing older than 10 years old, say. I know this is a year old, but there are 2 things I have been told over and over that I noticed you doing in this video: 1. Only silicon grease should be used on the slide pins as that doesn't deteriorate rubber as opposed to copper grease. 2. Wheel bolts/nuts should be installed using a torque wrench. Of course on older cars it's often necessary to clean the threads and bearing faces. Thanks again for the great content, and I wish you continued success in your journey. 🙂
Great job lad. So nice to see a young chap with such ambition and drive to be productive and successful. Love what you do and much love for your channel.
Thoroughly enjoying your videos Josh, good work. Apart from the fixes, I particularly like to see your relationship with Dad and friends. I'm not a flipper but have made a few £ on old Porsches. (In 2016) I bought a 928 for £3.6, sold for £6k 9 months later with no investment. Also in 2016 I bought a red 944 for £500 that had been sitting on a driveway for 7years, totally green. Washed it and polished it (faded red paint), changed the timing belt & ECU, but never got it started. Spent about £150, sold the car for £1300. Looking forward to more content
Thanks for the comment mate! I’m really lucky to have such good relationships with my dad and mates I’m glad it comes across! I’d love an old Porsche 😍🤣

Well done with your hard work you got yourself out of it .Buying price is always the key .You should never be paying more than trade in price .Fixing cars for other people to enjoy is painful if your not making .It's all good experience though .If I could say one thing I hope you take constructivly. Spend more time on diagnostic stuff will save you shit loads .Also at that price range you don't have to hand over a new car .Small cheap cars tend to reward better .An 06 Peugeot you pic up for £300 and fix a few bit and mot gets you almost the same profit as the £1000 on this thing if all had gone well .Also a fraction of risk .Good luck great video and very honest .
I want to start doing this sort of car repairing and selling hustle myself soon. Just passed my drivers test recently so it will be happening soon haha
I used to use copper grease on brake parts but no longer. It soaks up brake dust and turns to sticky tar over time. I now use proper heat resistant brake grease. Watch out for slider pins with rubber on them. Copper grease will make these swell and stick badly. I found out the hard way!
That solder joint was a total bodge, I hope you did something to fix it afterwards... It is in a terrible place and the odds of it snapping again are not slim.
