Yooooo Calvin!!! Thanks for the comment mate i'm amazed you came across the channel! It's thanks to you I flipped my first car haha! I'd love to but I can only flip one at a time so waiting for cars to sell can slow the videos down but into a unit one day hopefully!!!
Definitely upload more of these videos, everyone and myself really enjoy this content, keep up the great work, and I hope to do this in the future too. 👍🏻
Glad to have 'found' your channel again.. really edutaining without fluff Lol. I'm assuming you use temp insurance, if so any recommendation I would be grateful.
Ay Thankyou man glad you enjoy! Yeah I use temporary insurance through admiral but I wouldn’t recommend them as they’re expensive and not helpful with customer service
Get an axel stand under there when your trusting only the jack!! Had a friend crushed by this! Also them manifold bolt was missing because those were aftermarket ones. There notorious for losing them!!!
Well done. Quick question - do you register the car to yourself when buying it to flip? I guess that would then count as an additional owner when reselling. Also, if a buyer asks do you tell them you bought the car to flip?
@@Josh.Sandersonyou don’t actually need to be a trader, I used to do it routinely on my classic car flip projects - I was very conscious about not adding to the number of previous owners on the V5.
@@Josh.Sanderson yes, all you’re doing is letting the DVLA know you’re the keeper temporarily- that’s why you just tear off the little yellow trader section and keep the rest of the logbook ready to show prospective buyers.
Hey, love your videos, can i ask what the process is of paperwork and transferring when buying a car? Interested because i want to try this. Do you drive off before temp insurance and do you pay the tax immediately after purchasing? How does the v5c transfer work? Thanks in advance
Hey thanks for the kind words buddy! I do everything as you would buying a car for yourself except i temporary insure it for a month or so (depending on how long I think it will take to fix or if I want to drive it)
@@Josh.Sanderson also sorry for all the questions, but how do you value a car best? Like is there a good website that can accurately price a car or do you sort of eyeball it when buying/selling
Would it be worthwhile changing that front reg plate too? even just white screw covers make a noticeable difference. Maybe just a me thing but I'm always subconsciously a little put off cars if the numberplates ain't perfect for some reason, no idea how much it costs these days... . Also imo the front lights make a massive difference when they're polished to get rid of the sun/weather damage, they pop like new units. Gutted you couldn't get the fuel gauge, but some jobs just aren't worth it.
I didn’t check to be honest, if the car was minted condition and low mileage I probably would’ve done. But yeah it’s a shame I couldn’t get every problem fixed
why are the tax and insurance cost that high in britain when only owning the car a short time? in germany I would get back the most amount of insurance and tax (payed for one year in advance) after selling the car and would have effectively only payed for the timespan I owned the car.
Hey buddy, I’ve just checked that and seen that most of the fails are extremely minor like 4+ fails on headlights, one for a tyre, and nothing else was an advisory on the previous mot. Also I sold this car about 6 months ago as you can tell by the weather. So I don’t think any of it is my fault to be honest
I'm not saying it's author of the video fault cause the car on the video looks ok maybe apart from putting rear reg lights on silicone and fitting the cheapest lambda sensor which was faulty on MOT, right could be one which wasn't replaced could the other one but comment on MOT says it was 2nd. Anyway hope someone one will keep it in road cause they are ageing well in my opinion.
Thanks buddy! I actually sold the car about 6 months ago so had a good half a year on it haha they take so long to edit and with moving house it’s taken a while to get out
Great job, nice looking car. Looks like the tyres weren’t great when you had it - could they have been changed for some reasonable ones to increase the profit?
@@Josh.Sanderson I just saw a guy with a 500 pound Mercedes CL. Only some abc suspension work but it turned out pretty cheap. Same car would be €4.5k in the Netherlands
