Hi mate, I bought a Ford Custom 9 seat from Copart, and it happened the same way as you. On their site, it was cat N and when I applied for the v5, DVLA said they will not issue a v5 because it's scrapped and advised me to take it to the nearest scrap yard. But, called copart, made a complaint, and two days later, the scrap category was removed, and it was reverted back to cat N. So, make sure you put that complaint it to get it sorted. Keep up the good work! Inspirational 🤜🤛

Great Video and car, the alarm code is common. There
is an alarm unit box under the top left inside front osf wheelarch behind the arch cover. There is an access bung on the top of the wing which is visible when the bonnet is open. You can reach in with the correct socket and undo it for removal. Will be crudded up, wd40 first as you already know(no offense).
Very simple and cheap to replace, no coding needed.

Copart is huge but I can only imagine employ the same people as the smaller auctions - for some reason they are all clearly giving off the vibe of being ex-prisoners who hate society, or illegal immigrants who also hate society.
It is just a funny part of their job to fuck over a car after you have bought it. The industry works in such a way you have to trust scumbags who get a kick moving cars around and damaging them, and their employers who fully back them because you just signed a contract.

If you put a screwdriver across the 12v main and the 12v starter point on the solenoid being a spade terminal or m6 bolt or what ever it is on these.. it will engage the solenoid and then spin the starter motor over too you absolutely don't need to turn the key aswel as your taking the 12v from the main power cable

Hi my wife's car was written off, it ended up in Copart with parts missing.
I asked the insurance assessor if Copart had taken the parts therefore depriving the insurance company of a better price, and he said the insurance company dose not own them.
Copart buys them off the insurance company at a agreed percentage, so your comment on your bid was most likely Copart trying to get more money for themselves.
The insurance company involved was Zurich, so a big firm.

I recently changed the transfer box on my daughter’s Q3 TDI. I removed the subframe completely just to make more room. I couldn’t get to the top bolt on the engine side and so I had to remove the gearbox to access it. The problem was caused by a garage who had changed the clutch for the same reason as you. Faulty slave cylinder. They somehow managed to break the seal housing for the rear flange and the transfer box lost its oil and seized. It all looks the same as your TT. I don’t know how you got that bolt out if it is the same. I just couldn’t get any socket or spanner anywhere near it.

Guess you are too young to remember the bird seed worn bearing scam.
You saved a solid car that they wanted to scrap. Be happy.
You make my day, Go faster cars are usually bought to compensate for a tiny... driving brain ...and always give me a laugh when they waste fuel, brakes, tyres and general wear and tear, to get to the next red traffic light or traffic queue easily visible ahead.

Best to change clutch kit as the brake fluid ruins the plate by making it wet and would of slipped

Loving your content, dude. Keep it up. One thing that has always baffled me about the TT, is why ANYONE would tick the 'diesel' option, when speccing this car 😂 looks great, sounds like a tractor.

Copart will sort it, they can tell the insurance the correct category. I know that sounds mad, but it happens a lot. Usually Cat B by mistake.

I knew mechanics at copart who used to misdiagnose cars so that their mates could bid on it.

I wish i had done a check on my car before i bought it. The seller never told me it was a cat S, never told me head gasket was blown, He did point out that its passed 2 mot's a year for past 5 years as was used as a taxi. I will never buy a car without doing a full check first

I do like the TT’s but really dont like a diesel TT, it’s supposed to be a small sports coupe, how does a 2l diesel fit into that category? Before anyone says it I know the new S5 is a 3l diesel, any cool car spoilt 😔
