First?
Thanx boys ❤
Thx guys, excellent entertainment for these rainy days here in the North 😃 Happy 2025!
Please do a ae111 trueno build! ❤
Thanks boys!! Total legends. Thanks from VT, USA!
Click like if you made it through the full 3 hours and 18 mins.. (don't cheat!)
Liars it's only been 11 mins XD
does it need to be in one go?
just finished w00t ❤
Let's go. im still watching bout to sleep and dream to it, then wake up, rewind, lol.
Made it all the way through in one sitting. Best time of my life so far.
I know these super cut videos are probably annoying and a reasonable amount of work for not a lot of gain, but I love slapping one of these on during work hours. Appreciate you guys heaps! Sick build as always. Will be giving this a rinse on Monday!
That’s the feedback we’ve gotten about these long ones, glad you’re enjoying it. Just have to wait till the build is done before the car has earned itself a mega ep!
@@mightycarmods perfect in this age of lots of work from home.
I mean yes it involves some editing, but if it gets views why not double dip on same content
@@mightycarmodsI like the long style videos because if and when I get busy there's something going on in the background🤷♂️ also I don't have to worry about cuss words so handy when I'v got to sort out the monster's 😂👍
Can't agree more. Busy getting paid to watch this xD
I know its not a great idea but I wish every car had a super cut like this. Its so satisfying to watch start to finish.
I think it's a great idea. I would buy a bluray of each one.
@@jondonnelly3 Exactly this. I think the only thing keeping this from happening is time. Marty and MOOG do everything in-house so to compile and edit all of the episodes by car/project would take forever. My go-to are the "playlists" and "project cars" in their catalog and just letting it rip.
Your gemini is known to me as an opel kadett c. It is so cool to watch this and listening to all the conversations about the isuzu engines and the fact that an isuzu diesel engine was converted do petrol. The european opel models used isuzu diesel engines as standard. And the older opel 2.3 litre diesel engines where also converted to petrol in the past. Love this build 👍🏻
Thank you so much for posting this. I just spent 3hr and 18min tearing down my first K24 and transmission ever and having this in the background was very enjoyable. This is my first time seeing any of this build as I was probably busy watching other channels when you guys were posting these but what an epic build, truly one for the history books.
Never thought I'd sit through a video that's 3 hours and 18 minutes long but this, is a different story. Absolutely bloody superb in every way. Love it, love it and LOVE IT!!!!
Now, this is what I have been waiting for, lads. Long form videos to have playing when I'm working or doing chores.
I love the supercuts of builds.
You guys spoil us. Can't wait to see what's coming this year.✌️
Can't believe it's 2025. Still remember the first time I had trouble with my car and looked up on RUclips. Some random weird funny guys came out and showed me how to fix it, little did I know I would be waiting for those weird guys videos to come out years later
What better way to start a Saturday than spending 3hrs with mighty car mods.
This is actually perfect. I don’t know what came over me, but I decided to catch up on mcm playlists the past couple days. Just started a couple episodes into the Gemini build but now I can just watch the entire thing here 👍
I’m a middle aged guy in the States with a 76 Opel by Isuzu. I actually sat and watched the whole video and I love it. I keep forgetting you guys have all kinds of parts down there.
Love hearing the old songs. My 2.5yr old daughter was rocking out in her car seat to smoke and fire on the way back from Costco today.
This took me back through my teen years and my Gemini !! I was a 19 yr old who never thought I’d get a loan, so when the Holden salesmen said i could drive a car home i jumped on it. I had no idea what i was buying, except it was better than my 1960’s Mini trade-In. So i bought a brand new 1976 HX Gemini Coupe in the same blue with a 1600 cc Isuzu engine and 4 speed manual. I fell in love with that car the longer I owned it !! I kept it till 1992 and it was still running perfectly. The only issues i had was rust. Thanks for the video, great work :)
i remember when youtube first began i was checking it out and i found some old pbs open heart surgery videos and i found this guy restoring a small car on a driveway that is crazy that most people dont know that hombre is original old school you tuber since the beginning. still doing a fine job. good job fr a true natural of catching the intrest of many.
The moment I subscribed to your channel, I never thought that you'll bring tears to my eyes. You definitely got me with the Gemini project, you are a blessing to this world 🌎
Thank you...
One of the best MCM builds for 2024.
Jeez, that long exposure balancing the crank produced some magic footage. Mega props to the MCM crew and especially the Aussie Gemini community, what a great bunch of people.
An absolute awesome revisit of an awesome project. Marty was so so right. One of the most difficult things to do is make an old car look stock+ but driving so much better without really being able to tell while looking at it. Great work.
Congratulations, I can tell this car build was for you and you let us on RUclips experience your frustration, joy, and happiness with this build. You put in the detail work and you may not consider it a show car it sure looks good. A daily driver that brings daily smiles. Thank you for sharing this experience.
Getting De Ja Vu strangely enough. I had a 78' TD. Loved it to death
"Why would you turbo one of these?"
"Because it's an engine"
😂
Hahaha! But seriously, the top-tier diesel variant comes equipped with a turbo.
Truly amazing and 3 hours of video left me wanting more. My 2nd car was a yellow 1975 TX Coupe, so many fantastic memories.Talking alternators, the Gemini had Nikki carb with an electric pump. When the alternator quits so did the relay that energised the pump. Bit of a problem when you're on a late date on a Saturday Night! I was not ready for the twist at the end. I too did the SILVIO'S DIAL-A-PIZZA gig 1984/85 .Predomonantly Sunnybank/Capalaba and Wacol. Red Hill was HQ.A lot of us had gemini coupes with webers, extractors and 2 inch systems. silvios was very popular especially footy nights. Silvio and Fel Bevacqua. I wonder if Don knows of the story of Silvio's porsche in a Brisbane City carpark when he got it to squat low enough to catch the motor/ drivetrain on something substantial. The phones on top of 3cyl Charades that seemed to rev forever and manual boxes. Then we had 800cc Altos on unleaded. OMG seriously under powered. Fun Days 👍
Even though I washed all the Gemini series. I am still watching the Gemini movie. It's very nice to watch. Mighty car mods are the chilliest RUclips channel out there. Thanks very much boys
Omg I can not thank you enough for the 3+ hour video ❤️💪🏽👑
I absolutely love the Gemini. It looks stunning!
One of the best MCM builds, love the old school engine choice!
Awesome job guys My brother and myself fully restored a 66 mustang piny car and itwas a massive build but the end result is an awesome daily driver .
Marty chose the perfect color, and the smile on Marty’s face says it all.
So proud of you Marty, you fixed up your "If I still had that car..." and it's AWESOME 👌 👏 👍 😍 ❤
DAMN... I loved this series and seeing it all together is making me smile so hard !
thanks boys ...what a car ...what a build ....what a great bunch of friends ....loved it the first time
The second time is even better .....
When I watched this as regular episodes I didn’t appreciate how much of a Legend Darren was.
I loved watching Marty on the skid pad near the end looked so fun
“Say goodnight Dana”. Love that you guys are back. You’re guys back and forth was a reason I watched the old podcast. 🙌🙌
We had a black Gemi coupe with centrelines when i was a kid, I can smell the vinyl interior through the screen. One of the best car smells out of every car.
Awesome build, love these long format full builds. I love the smile on Dons face the whole time just seems so genuine and excited. He may have built himself up but he seems real down to earth still.
This takes hard work to get it all together for one episode but glad you decided to do it, I only watch RUclips now anyway over tv so be nice to have this on in the background at home for 3 hours
So inspiring, think it's time to complete my 1989 G100 Charade Hatch 🙏🙏✌️
3 HRS!! Clicks play thinking "I've seen it all anyways, so I'll skip through" nope.... Watched it all again because the production is top tier.
How fitting, my poster arrived today. You guys are awesome
Its 6:30 am in the USA and this video has been up for 3 hours. Guess I gotta get up earlier. Lol wonderful work guys, can't even begin to tell you how much I love the resto-mod cars. Good on ya mates!
So nice to hear Kei to the City again after 10 years !! Almost forgot how low i have been watching you guys ^^ Feels old man :)
Great build. Likin the soundtrack. Brilliant job Marty and Moog. Thanks.
Great video, first one I've watched will come back again.
you've just stumbled across MCM. my sweet summer child you have so much content to ENJOY! have a blast and welcome the the best 4WD channel on the internet
It always better to see the hole video in one go, and its always a privilege to watch MCM till now
I love this one, a build from the very start and to the final result. Hours and hours invested, so much effort. Well done mates, love from Germany.
Did not except to spend 3 hours of my Saturday watching MCM but I am so here for it 🙌🏻
Memories, my first car looked exactly like this except it had chrome bonnet clips. Congrats on an awesome rebuild.
Lord of the Rings, Fellowship of the Ring or a MCM car build 🤔🤔🤔
This video makes me really miss the classic Corolla scene that was around the early to mid 2010s in southern Queensland 😢 I used to look forward to the meet ups and cruises
Oh yeah, the Isuzu Gemini... here in the Philippines in the 1980s to the early 1990s, the sedan variant (with the diesel engine) were mostly used as taxis!
I'm happy this showed up in my recommended videos today. I've been watching you guys for years now. Absolutely awesome build. I love that blue and its very fitting that its called genini blue. I can imagine that there were times during the build where it may have gotten frustrating. I'm happy that it paid off. The smile on your face when you were throwing it around on the skid pan was priceless. Cheers
Found you all from the Brumby rebuild. Your channel is great. Great job. From Oregon, USA
this scratches a very particular itch of mine watching people fully build out a shell with brand new parts
Thanbks for the Epic late Christmas present!!! Love it that it is a huge bite sized chunk just over 3 hours with everything in it!!! The Gemini turned out amazing.
Been watching for over ten years, love y’all
This is well timed, I've been looking for long form background content while getting some admin-level work done. I didn't really get into watching the Gemini build as it happened, too much other stuff going on, but it'll be good to catch it all in one night :)
1986 i was born just thanks now I feel so young lol. Love this car.
What a great way for me to throw up my legs, grab a cup of tea. Enjoy these episodes souch, Thanks Derek and CREW!!!
This is great because the was so interested in watching this build but somehow didn’t get to watch. Thanks for this full build feature.
That blue fits so perfect
Gemini, RX7, MY99 Wrx. The holy trinity of sex spec era.
Love a good marty marathon 🤙🏼 was really hoping the c20 was going to be a thing as a vauxhall loving pom but Isuzu doesn't fall too far from the tree good work boys!!
Hello, viewer number 37 from the Unicorn Circuit here. I watched every episode of this series as it was being uploaded. I will always come to watch the full length episodes. Thank you for all your hard work.
Gemini is now a dream car for me
After starting out in a TD wagon then later a TG diesel, i can say this is one mint looking gemini
Such an exhibition of so many incredibly talented people. 👍
So glad you left the smiley face technique for pouring oil in the video - this is how it should always be done! 😅
I'm new to the channel, I'm hooked, the trips the builds, you guys are fun to watch. Love seeing old cars being brought back to life in your own visions. The Gemini build was badass. Hooked.
Man hats off to Dave , I don’t know any human can have the brain capacity to wire a whole car from start to finish 🤯
The little Gemini is just gorgeous. What a great build, one of my all time favourites from MCM👍.
Beautiful build mate, enjoyed all the time.
The simplicity and rawness of them.
When I started watching this I thought, why do a Gemini but I totally get it now. Light, strong engine and rear wheel drive.
Beautiful car. Great video, as always. Happy New Year lads. Now I want pizza.
I love the sound quality. Awesome guys
Love the car. In the UK we called these cars kadets , when I was a young lad my dad had a blue one
I build one of these in GTA painted it gold and -2 tint dropped on wheels I love it
Soo many full circle events in one video, Epic!! 😎
Amazing video, hooked the whole way. Thank you so much!
These mega ep's are so good ❤ currently organising some clothes and cooking gear for the next 4wding trip
in austria this car is called opel kadett...cool built guys
Every car guy has a special relationship with there first car and all that love comes from there first car my first car was a da9 92 Integra I absolutely love that car and I spent like 2 years salary building a k24 version it's like my perfect car with a modern engine and electronics
That wiring harness is terrifying! Lol. Great video gents. Incredible build.
Great episode! I'm glad the big boss could deliver pizzas with you. Your happiness makes me happy.
I forgot how awesome Darren was, I need another Gemini build just to see him again
I love basic cars I have a Mirage G4, low maintenance, economical, basic and modern at the same time. I hope we continue to see basic good cars. :)
So good, I can't watch a 3 hour movie, but this was easy. I think once the finances are healed from views, I'd love to see some Recaro Classic LX seats in there to bring it home. Or not, such a great build.
Honored to be one of the ones that remember that driveway vividly
Dominos story is great. I remember delivering for dominos in high school.
...thought the paint was silvery... then you said "Black and white"... you got me. very creative
Good video fellas, nearly on a level of Miss Daisy in the concept of effort, style, and personality. Well done.
In all honesty, could have skipped right to the end with Marty enjoying what he, Moog, Dave and every person involved built. All those hours into one awesome moment, well until you go for 300 anyway :)
Amazing video, thanks so much MCM, and a happy 2025 to you and all yours.
I only remember 2 vehicles that Turbo Yoda has helped MCM with that wasn't turbo, and I had so many questions on those builds lol. If Turbo Yoda is in the episode, I automatically assume they will be putting a Turbo on the engine, lol. Always love it when he shows up to help. So much knowledge in that bald head of his.
I really love your awesome 4x4 series of videos. Especially the jimmy camp out with the little truck. Amazing video and I really want to see more of this please.
The color is on point ! Very nice !
Love this! Never got the Gamini to the US but this reminds me of tearing down and rebuilding my first classic back in the early 2000s. A 1969 Karmann Ghia. These are the best projects (and toughest ones!) (Edit: Apparently the first gen was a Buick/Opel and second gen the Chevy Chevette in the US , which strangely was my first car)
@marcofabro They were in the US it was the Buick/Opel
It's a Chevette
@@h60memo Just looked it up and your right. And how weird is it that my very first car was an 84 Chevette back in 1999.
@@natelasaede8296 Your absolutely right. Just looked it up. Also , the second gen was a Chevy Chevette (which was strangely my first car)
Hey Marty, some of us had kids in 1999, hope that makes you feel younger 👍
