The first thing a flipper is hiding is the very fact that he is a flipper, they pretend to be a regular owner (bought for personal use, not for reselling/flipping) of the thing they sell. All the fixes and repairs they do are just to fix the things that a buyer can see, nothing deeper than that. If they see someone selling something broken very cheap yet with a very simple fix (like a fuse) they will take advantage of that person and buy it at that super cheap price while the moral thing would be to reveal to the seller just how simple the fix is and thus not take advantage him. It goes on and on, but the point is that a flipper is just a vanilla scammer, there's a reason most states allow you to flip only 4 cars per year, but even there the flipper tries to skip title of the vehicle, as a scammer does

Don't get mad about it just use it as a red flag to avoid being scammed like this guy was. There is no fricking way that 20 year old Toyota had only 188K and he knows it. Either he or seller changed out that odometer period end of story, there are plenty of clues. The big ones are the seat ware and Toyota's with only 188K don't leak oil, I don't care how old they are. This guy is a scammer!!!!!
The best way to flip substandard cars is with a gigantic spatula. For low heat turn it down. When you give it a shot of freon aim carefully. A private party has to be careful about lewd charges before showing their privates. To get a lot of leverage when negotiating use a really long pry bar. To cover a fading seal use a large walrus. On spraying the carpet black once you go black it is hard to go back. That car has been around the block too many times to give it so much love.
These videos are great! Recently picked up my first flip, an 04 Honda Accord with 223k miles on it. Wasn’t running, but owner was gonna scrap it. Managed to get it for $300! Clean Texas title fully loaded car. Replaced the starter and drove it home same day! Ended up replacing brake pads and some other things. Roughly $650 total invested, currently have it listed at 3k. I have 2 people coming tomorrow to look at it. These flips are 100% possible!

I love flipping anything and everything I can. Flipped a Pontiac vibe for 800$ profit. I know it’s not much but I used it for good 8 months. A few lawn mowers I picked for free, clean the carbs and sold for 80$ a pop ( I had about 6 of them), a civic I bought for 300$ and sold for 1800$ without doing anything to it be because it was 1993 I think hatchback manual which kids love to turn into race cars. Man I can go on. Just picked up a G35 2006 for 1000$ granted it needs engine but valve is around 6K, got a sequoia few weeks ago for 1500 with only 135K miles. Toyota guys should know what they are worth. It’s a 2001 4WD. FREEDOM IS PRICELESS

Yea i'm like are you sure about that. Even I who's in high school and read car manuals for fun as a kid and I know that it stands for antilock braking system
Depends where you are. Here in Illinois, any person can buy and sell 5 or 6 cars a year. So you, your significant other or relative, a good friend or someone you can give 100 bucks to put there name on title, now you're up to 20 cars a year and you're good.
I would've lowballed the seller at 800 dollars at first not 1000. He obviously knew how bad it was and would've taken a 1000 after he tries to bump the price back up.
Love the vids but something I'm curious about is that in your cost analysis doesn't include tax, title/plate transfer, insurance even though you drive the car home - do you drive the car home without plates and title jump? or have a dealership license?
I've been a flipper myself, small time. There is a standing joke among veterans in my state, Virginia. We tell newly interested flippers that if they buy and sell enough cars in a year, they will have won the opportunity to get special insurance to make life easier. The reality is that their insurance gets audited. That info may not be the latest, but the point is that after a certain transaction volume, there is the possibility of the state requiring a dealer license.
I just wanted to say thank you @Buddy's DIY. I started out doing this part-time and now I am doing this full time. It's so much fun. Thank You Thank You for the advice.
That's exactly what I was thinking. Many ppl don't have that mechanical capability. Also $50 to your brother and 21 hrs worth of work... Did he transfer the title into his name. How did you legally drive it? What about the timing belt/water pump
I remember I sold a a Toyota Highlander before. Bought it for like 1200 body damage in front and sold it for 5800. One of the best flips ever. Enjoy the videos

Not sure if this was covered before, but how do you go about insuring the cars? You theoretically buy, fix, and sell a car roughly within 1 week. Do you put every single car you flip on the insurance for that week period then cancel? Any info on this would help. Thanks!

He should have a stand up set after hearing. “15 year old candy , a few pound of laundry detergent, and very some Jamaican rum”21:14🤣🤣
Who would even dislike this video? Go away Karen’s
Haters lol
The raw anger I have when people have the shortest descriptions and single-picture post. This vid was very interesting.
Nah I'd be like "You chose to be ignored then didn't you" 😂
Don't get mad about it just use it as a red flag to avoid being scammed like this guy was.
Any single pic ad is almost always a scam...
What about your sales tax fees and title fees?
The best way to flip substandard cars is with a gigantic spatula. For low heat turn it down. When you give it a shot of freon aim carefully. A private party has to be careful about lewd charges before showing their privates. To get a lot of leverage when negotiating use a really long pry bar. To cover a fading seal use a large walrus. On spraying the carpet black once you go black it is hard to go back. That car has been around the block too many times to give it so much love.
Bruhhhhh 🤣
i like your sense of humour !
LMFAO dude.
Are you bored?
Good video bro but just a heads up ABS stands for “Anti-lock Braking System” not Automatic Braking System
Lol yes I know. It was a 3am moment doing the voiceover 😂
Did you sell it ?
Sir did you sell it?
Okay now.. dont ever buy a car over 200k miles even for just a flip.
You work for 40yrs to have $1M in your
retirement, meanwhile some people are putting just $10K in a meme coin from just few months ago and now they are multimillionaires.....
You are right, to be a successful person in life require him or her of hard work and time
The thing about been successful is working toward it and not going the other way round
You are right. Been thinking of going into gold and cyptocurrency
It's obvious everyone is doing this online Invstment
@@clydeorlan2615 I totally agree with you it has been an eye-opening experience for a lot of people.
My number one rule: If the seller warmed up the car like they called me for a warm family dinner at home, I don’t want it or I’m offering $200 less.
Lmfaoooo. Bro 100%. If they pull that ish then run. I actually touch on that in my inspection series!
If your flipping it why does it matter? If it sounds good warmed up than warm it up for tje buyer tpo
@@steve5912 Does matter. You would be surprised how different cars sound sometimes. At the end of the day, we don’t want anyone calling back for money, and we don’t want to sleep at night knowing we sold a terrible car to a family and scare them for life. Just because we are flipping cars doesn’t mean we cheat or we don’t take pride in the vehicle we flip like it’s our own.
@@randomvids2882 agreed man. When I was younger I didn't car but now I do the best I can to sell a car I would personally drive.
Cold start is a must when buying a vehicle.
I’m a 71 year old grandma from Canada that was glued to this video to the end! Absolutely awesome! I’m going to share this video with others. Tons of great useful information.
Hope you learned something useful grandma!! :)
Man, I’d have no reservations about buying a car from you. And I LOVE the hourly breakdown. However, you’re much more knowledgeable than, so it would probably take me twice as long to flip at first … but still, half of what you made per hour on this one would still be awesome to me! Thank you!👍
Absolutely brother I'm glad you found the video Inspiring!
Hope the new owner knows they got they got the landlord special 💀
Gotta say, as one who streamed for a couple years and knew folks who did the same and RUclips at all levels - excellent production quality and stellar voiceover. Nice job man.
I appre that man. This is my highest quality production flip video so far. Gonna keep trying to make them better and better!!
Never forgett to include your own time you spend on it when calculating cost :D
You should also add in the cost of the title transfer, that would be a plus
Unless he didn't
@@royalsaini8812 That's a pretty serious offense. The DMV/State Police don't like people committing fraud to operate as an unlicensed car dealer.
Just write it as a gift
I’m never going to flip a car but I watched this video all the way through lol. Badass video bro
Really good video, except 9:25 ABS is "Anti-lock Braking system" and not "Automatic Breaking system" as you mentioned.
Ive learned so much in this video, so much detail, this is great, this guy did negotiations, research, fixed the car, as well as editing this video. Ive never seen such thorough work. This was super impressive. Definitely set a high bar for these videos.
Some one with almost no skill could do it.
Me: crying...
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I actually laughed out loud 🤣
LOLOLOL these are definitely all skills
I wish I knew how to work on my on vehicles I'd Make some money. That's me selling the damn truck for 2k and you fixing it up 21hrs of labor to profit $2350. Your the man bro
Apprentice support man. I do my best
Production quality is through the roof on this one. Big fan of the longer format, too!
Loving these videos, I learn so much every time. Very much appreciate the lengths you go to explain everything 🙌
Thanks! Took forever to make this one! Appreciate you noticing the production quality!!
@@BuddysDIY Love the videos and I have a car I'm eyeing to buy. I was wondering what you think of the OBD bluetooth readers? I have one and it can be a pain to get it to connect sometimes, but once it does it seems to work well.
ABS stands for antilock braking system, not automatic braking system.
Never knew until now
Yea i'm like are you sure about that. Even I who's in high school and read car manuals for fun as a kid and I know that it stands for antilock braking system
It was a 3am moment for me. I know what it stands for 🤣
@@BuddysDIY It happens 😂 did these people really thought you are clueless about what u saying 💀
Idk Brotato. In my videos I explain how to diagnose and fix almost every system in a car and they think I don't know what abs stands for. Oh well 😂
I heard that you need a dealer license to sell cars, do you actually need to have one to do this?
Depends where you are. Here in Illinois, any person can buy and sell 5 or 6 cars a year. So you, your significant other or relative, a good friend or someone you can give 100 bucks to put there name on title, now you're up to 20 cars a year and you're good.
@@matthewhoover6154 how do you avoid paying taxes on the car though?
@@Fomo69 Call it a charity... or ask Jeff how he managed to become a billionaire without paying any tax. Poor people pay tax, rich people pay lawyers.
You know buddy likes his bmw's cause he drove the whole way home without his blinkers
Sometimes RUclips just throw at me some good quality videos at my recommendations , I’m definitely subscribing ✅
Sometimes RUclips knows Best 😂
@@BuddysDIY yes he does 😂
YES! People don’t understand that offering a number over phone or text is just awful. Be there and check out the car before making an offer.
Don't forget the dmv fees and taxes add up to the investment, it's the important part about flipping! Edit: and freedom!
Why clean the carpet, when you can just paint it black, it hides all the stains! 🤣🤣
for the smells and gunk, nobody wants to step on that gritty nasty mess
Cheaper and easier to replace it
This is one of the best car flipping RUclips channel, I have ever seen!👍
9:26 ABS stands for anti-lock brake system.
Brake
@@mohdfazili6116 yeah my bad
The ppl who sold you a vehicle and stumble upon ya videos 1 day👀😂😂😂😂😂
I would've lowballed the seller at 800 dollars at first not 1000. He obviously knew how bad it was and would've taken a 1000 after he tries to bump the price back up.
Yeah possibly. I was not on my A game with this thing. After inspecting it I was pissed lol
@@BuddysDIY you did a great job. Especially getting it in and out quickly.
Love the vids but something I'm curious about is that in your cost analysis doesn't include tax, title/plate transfer, insurance even though you drive the car home - do you drive the car home without plates and title jump? or have a dealership license?
Exactly what I was thinking. All that runs me an extra $500+ depending on sale price lol
Wondering the same
I think I remember his saying he owns a dealership license in one of his vids and doesn’t have to worry about that
I've been a flipper myself, small time.
Damn i didn’t even realize this video was almost half an hour video. Keep up the work. Great editing btw. Hope you do a tutorial on editing as well.
Facts
You aren't legally allowed to sell more than 3 cars per year in Florida without a used car sellers license or you face tens of thousands in fines.
I just wanted to say thank you @Buddy's DIY. I started out doing this part-time and now I am doing this full time. It's so much fun. Thank You Thank You for the advice.
3k in labor later, a layman would break even
That's exactly what I was thinking. Many ppl don't have that mechanical capability. Also $50 to your brother and 21 hrs worth of work... Did he transfer the title into his name. How did you legally drive it? What about the timing belt/water pump
0:06 is that cocaine LMAO
Why dont you factor the tax and title into the cost? Amazing content never upsets
This was how I made my first money as a young teenager in the mid-late 90's. Detailing and flipping cars. ;)
I remember I sold a a Toyota Highlander before. Bought it for like 1200 body damage in front and sold it for 5800. One of the best flips ever. Enjoy the videos
Man this is really great. Even though i'm not living in the US. This could be implemented in my country as well. Keep it up! Greetings from Dominican Republic.
9:30 abs stands for anti-lock braking system not automatic braking system
Man the original owners really didn’t show this Toyota any love
it must have been an arab
See the empty bag of dope on drivers seat floor. I’m sure that had something to do with it.
@@W333dm4n arab in terms of hygiene sucks hard
Not sure if this was covered before, but how do you go about insuring the cars? You theoretically buy, fix, and sell a car roughly within 1 week. Do you put every single car you flip on the insurance for that week period then cancel? Any info on this would help. Thanks!
I did not know people spray-paint car carpets, brilliant.
Oh shit I had been sitting hear got to the point where he was changing tire and relised he isn’t chris fix haha
Noo Way. Did you really think I was Chris?!
"When life gives you lemon, turn that into mint"
This is an outstanding video! Well organized, detailed, helpful, and to the point. Buddy’s DIY accomplishes in under 30 minutes what some RUclipsrs would take hours! 👍
U must add up the time to meet the seller and buyer. And driving it back But great job

Dude how can you mess up in voice over😂😂
ABS stands for Anti-lock Breaking System
Not Automatic breaking system 😂😂
So much for 35 hours of editing ae😏✌️
