They could have left for any reason we don’t know and what stands is that some of the world’s best athletes still follow plant based diet or are largely on a plant based diet and they said they went plant based as it enhances their performance in the sports.
    But having said that Proposition of Vegans is never from the health stand point (though there are numerous proper research citations on health aspects of vegan (not mere anecdotal references like speakers in this podcast just casually say ) ) , It is from the standpoint of what’s right.
    Billions of animals being exploited and butchered for 15 min pleasure of human beings is not right and hence, we ask people to be vegan.

    You feel better with carnivore diet is because of the hormones in it. In the long run, it does not work well. Often people in the west do not know vegetarian food cooking and turn to fast non veg food items. Thats not the case with India/ My experience says, traditional vegetarian diet is best Human body needs grease to have the feel of fullness, so consume home made butter with course desi grain flour roti or chawal with good portions of dal, sabzi, chutni etc. Human blood is slightly towards the alkaline side, and if one consumes animal products it has to work extra to maintain the 7.35 pH of blood. Our small intestines love fiber rich food not acid producing animal proteins. Proteins are the root cause of pain and ailments in the body. Vegetarian diet with intermittent fasting go extra mile in the making of a healthy and a slow aging body.

    Phytochemicals, instead, are one of the main reasons that renders plant food effective to the human physiology. It is synergetic functioning. The quantity in which we might ingest these chemicals--post cooking if it's a vegetable--blunts their surplus effects significantly. You are left with a response that works in a range that would not kill you, but push for a necessary struggle for the immune system, inspiring protective effects to the organ biochemistry. While also forcing antifragility by homeostasis. Take for example 'stillbene moiety' or Reserveratrol: a polyphenol subclass which prominently functions as an mTOR inhibitor, found in the grape peel; the activation of the mTOR pathway is empirically known to inhibit Autophagy. In other words, Inhibition of mTOR is necessary for autophagy induction, which is precisely being achieved by this phytochemical. I have intentionally chosen this example because the ultimate aim of any biohacker is to creatively scale their healthspan. Healthspan or Longevity works on two metabolic master switches, inhibition of mTOR and activation of AMPK. You can either achieve them through caloric restriction, or with intelligible use of plant chemicals. The litmus test of any promising diet/lifestyle needs to pass the criteria of longevity. A carnivore diet might effectively be dealing with the 'markers' of ageing, of the likes of muscle mass, brute strength, bone density, mood etc., but does not directly seem to affect the chemical pathways that concerns with ageing. Similarly, although amino acids are essential in achieving muscle hypertrophy, they are also key activators of mTOR signalling, thereby restricting autophagy. My point is, if you are chronically suppressing autophagy with your diet and lifestyle habits, it will land you into a pathological situation eventually. And this may happen after the initial peak in perfamance or results, like in the case of amino acids and ageing.

    • @vanabhilash
      @vanabhilash Год назад +1

      @xecototecapleydes (suppressed knowledge in हिन्दी) Animal tissue/organs is not just a very good source of BCAAs, but all the EAAs, it is one of the most wholesome sources of Protein. The question then is, what is its bioavailability, and the required metabolic expediture to break it down into use? The benefits shall outweigh costs.
      But I agree, I usually rest my amino acids case at muscle protein synthesis; that they simply are catalysts in the process of hypertrophy. Strength and muscular development is a product of repetitive exposure to resistance training. However, the precursor to sustain a productive training regimen is necessary drive, to be able to keep working; which thrives on energy and motivation levels throughout the day: mood, or T-levels. The question to ask is, does eating animal tissue have any positive correlation with testosterone levels? If yes, do these enhancements have a relapse period--or is the diet highly promising over time? Does the benefits outperform a plant-based diet? If it scores a positive here, you will simply see carnivore guys getting better results sticking to a routine than the herbivores. Reason being, they are better equipped with the desired biochemical ammunition; which renders them optimal motivation to carry out their tasks daily.
