@@bloodknyte Pipe organs do not have strings. Piano does though, but they are completely different instruments aside from being played by a keyboard and pedals.
I mean her instrument is an ethwal if i'm not mistaken? A fictional unique instrument to her that doesn't even work in her base skin, I don't know why suddenly it matters if it makes sense in the skin

The biggest oversight with Dark Willow is that she's unbelievably sexy. I can't go on a hour of my day without thinking about plowing that tight wooden ass. I'd kill a man in cold blood just to spend a minute with her crotch grinding against my throbbing manhood as she whispers terribly dirty things to me in her geographically ambiguous accent.
It's not like her animations are good enough to visually telegraph the plucking of strings anyway! You could throw some keys on there and keep the same modeling!

Her anims actually work better with piano keys because she has multiple where she just swipes over or slams on her instrument like a keyboard. She has no plucking animations to justify a snare instrument, even though that's the original design
heck you could probably give her a djembe (type of drum), accelerate her hand movement speed a little and it would also work!

Yeah that was kinda the deal with her old Pentakill skin. She is supposed to be the keyboard player, so the idea was "oh she plays 'the keyboard' that has strings on it, but played like a keyboard, because it is keyboard shaped, please god don't come for us, it's totally a keyboard". Like at least to me that kinda made sense. I could imagine like through some magic stuff she could like pluck a certain string at a specific point and it would sound like a keyboard, and it would work as a keyboard aswell. No amount of magic is gonna make strings create gusts of wind that pass through pipes and make pipe organ sounds.
@@moopey1837 “no amount of magic” made me immediately think of Yasuo and Janna jamming out on a biwa and a harp that inexplicably play brass band sounds.
A giant double neck guitar in the shape of a "V" would have done the trick, but I guess we can't have things make sense

What makes this even weirder is that they can put keys instead of strings, they already did it before for other skins like Arcade and DJ
DJ got brand new animations so that doesn't count and Arcade looks really bad because of the keys, only the effects save it.

100% deranged but I understand, even if it's my favourite Sona skin in PC LoL atm. Muse Sona is DEFINITELY the worst looking in PC LoL though. Good grief it needs a update badly, especially when you compare it to WR Muse Sona.
Even tho i have dj sona i use muse skin because her splash is so beautiful, i hope she recieves an ASU to reflect that beauty in game

Keyboards aren't the most common instruments for rock and metal but it is used. Rock and metal mostly use guitars and drums.

But you can add some keys to the keyboard and keep some strings on it, like a modified instrument.
Of course you can! Arcade and Dj Sona use keyboards, and there are some other skins in where she doesn't have an instrument at all xD

worst part of this design oversight is that skins like Arcade prove that replacing the strings with keys is totally plausible and cool with the design team.
As a musician, you’re not being neurotic in the least. Strings need a resonance board; there is no way to transfer sound from the resonance board to organ pipes.
To be honest this is the same skin line that committed the cardinal sin of not giving Yorick his hat except for like 2 animations

I think her Arcade skin gave her the keyboard but they somehow forgot how organ pipes work I suppose.
According to my headcanon about her instrument (particularly in Pentakill verse), it can transform at her will, and change between strings and keys, so that she could have more variety without switching instruments.

You are right. Their reasoning for the strings is probably that all her sound effects are string based but then either change the sounds and make the skin more expensive or just don't give her organ pipes on a string instrument.

Dude organs have strings, this instrument would function, it'd even potentially sound more like an organ than a harp or whatever.

i think the only reason why it has strings on it is because they would have to make entirely different organ sound effects for it, as i believe the skin uses sonas base harp sound effects.

It's funny that you point that, because her bio says smt like "never say to Sona that keys aint metal" so, she actually plays a keyboard in the band, there is no reason for keep putting strings on it xD
With a design like that I was really expecting the part you play to be like the chimes or marimba since the pipes on the bottom look like the bottom parts of those.

Honestly with Sona's animations it looks more like she's using keys than strumming a stringed instrument. But I am willing to forgive this skin for this oversight because the white chroma for this skin looks absolutely adorable.

Obviously her keys are hidden underneath the instrument! Seriously though that detail has egged me as much as Aatrox having flipped 'regular' arm vs swole arm in splashes and in-game and his wings randomly popping out EXCEPT in Victorious Aatrox for whatever reason.
