It's not the only monitor with that feature, as its the panel's technology. And the panel is also sold to other manufacturers like ASUS who offer the same panel and feature.
There’s a dual mode ASUS panel that is the same specs as this but I think is the better panel overall from what of the community says. This is an excellent monitor and totally worth it but just something to consider if you haven’t already bought it
Hi and thanks so much for the video! I recently bought the LG UltraFine 27UQ850V-W, and I was wondering if I could use the arm you are using in the video, I am trying to find some information online but, can't find anything... I wish you a good day!
I would need a monitor for study and work, which is 4k 32 inches, and above all has a nice design with aluminum materials and very thin edges. What do you think about an OLED, I know they have the problem of burning pixels but apparently only the OLED models have this elegant and thin design. Do you have any advice in this case?
I used this monitor for a month before returning it. Main drawbacks - lack of USB C PD. Also the 480hz 1080p mode is not that great to game with blurry visuals.
Same! I returned it this morning after 2-3 weeks of use. I really didn’t like the blurry on 1080, I’m better with my native 1080 240hz for gaming. Now I just have to buy another monitor way more cheaper for the productivity aspect.
I've had this exact monitor and the high pitched fan is just so annoying, i've had to return it. ASUS offers a version that is passively cooled, albeit more gamery looking. There's also the Samsung G80SD QD-Oled which i currently have.
How does text look in macOS? I write code on a mac, and I've found the text can get very blurry on a lot of 4K displays in macOS. Although the lack of USB for supporting a macbook probably means I'm out anyway. Shame, I really want one screen to rule them all.
I just don't get why they don't put Thunderbolt in such high end displays. I would buy it immediately. So you can connect your mac by type-c and at the same time connect your gaming rig by DP.
@ yes, it is expensive, but we are looking at high end segment. So I don’t get that, why vendor can’t pay some royalty and make their display a lil bit more expensive.
I haven’t heard the fan once. And I live in Dubai where of course it’s hotter than normal. Didn’t even know there was a fan issue until I saw some comments on this video 😅
aside from their infamous customer service, how would you say this stacks up against the Dough Spectrum 32" 4K OLED 240HZ? spec for spec they're honestly pretty similar so I'm curious if i should just deal with the Matte screen and get a reliable brand like LG or take a chance on Dough to get that sweet sweet Glossy OLED any thoughts?
In the future, i will be doing a lot of editing videos and coding. Will this moniter comply with my needs. Or is there any moniter you recommend? I want to hook up directly from my mac. Amazing video, by the way!!
The ASUS QD-OLED equivalent has better colors and a glossy panel, which may suit you better if 240hz is enough and you don’t need to switch to 480hz/1080p.
man i need your input, considering your experience with various monitors on my wishlist. can share your thoughts? i love oled, had oled c1 as my tv. now looking for a desk monitor, i am a student. doing research aka lots of reading. so prioritizing true black level and crispy text, which monitor should i opt for ? i dont care much about refresh hz. i dont game on it. Thank you banger video as always!
With the lack of USB C PD, it hardly is the best monitor money can buy. There's the ASUS PG32UCDP which (if I'm not wrong) uses the same panel and actually offers 90W USB C PD, and other few extras
Solid review Oliur. I’ve seen an Asus monitor that offers the same dual 4K 240 and HD480 mode but in a much more gamery package. Love how sleek this monitor looks. We missed you!
7:50 that's actually kind of misleading. 1080p is good for productivity related stuff, the monitor just needs to be further away from the lower the pixel count you have on your monitor because your eyes wont be able to pixel peak. There are charts out there showing that any monitor with a Pixel Per Inch (PPI) around the 110ppi range is actually great for productivity because the general public doesn't need to enable fractional scaling to adjust the various sized of icons and text on your screen
Very nice monitor but for me i'll pass on it due to it not having a Type C Port & getting rid of the Remote. If a monitor is going to be that expensive you have a right to nitpick.
why cant anyone make a better Apple Studio Display or pro display xdr competitor already in a 32 inch 5k or 6k panel with decent non plastic build quality, for a reasonable price? I have been using a 42 inch oled tv as a monitor for a year now and wish it was as little higher resolution... at a 4k 42 inch you can see pixels, and while the color is better than my wife apple display, but I love the pixel density on her monitor at 5k at 27 inches.
All plastic 🤦🏾 call me when these monitors start having better builds because it matters. If it is not aluminum I don’t want it. Paying too much money for the monitors to be plastic, unacceptable.
I think a 5k + 1440p montior would be more of a sweet spot for a productivity/gaming hybrid.
The lack of usb-c and/or glossy options are why I can’t even consider a majority of these new OLED monitors. WHY 😭. This monitor looks so clean too
What is the usb c port good for on a monitor
@@Slurpskiiithunderbolt connection??
Check out the asus rog swift pg32ucdm this one is glossy and the pg32ucdp is same panel is use in LG but Matt, and yes these have USB-C
lord glossy vs matte on an oled isnt even that different, and usb c 💀?
Check out the direct competitor to this, the ASUS model.
I literally had the LTT WAN Show on the side paused, at the point where Linus was talking about how they are sponsoring now. Wow, small internet!
Perfect Timing. Was just thinking of getting a moniter
Which one are you getting now??
Waiting for that single-cable-setup with USB-C (Thunderbolt 5) + 4K + ProMotion combo
It's not the only monitor with that feature, as its the panel's technology. And the panel is also sold to other manufacturers like ASUS who offer the same panel and feature.

It also looks solid built!
those shot at 5:30 is what most oled monitor reviewer should provide. nice job
Ahhh some good ol' PC and desk content. Hell yeah 👌🏽
Have it and love it. I don’t use the 480hz mode and it wasn’t a feature that influenced my purchase decision.

What do you recommend for lightbar and webcam with this monitor?
I really like your high quality monitor reviews!

Interesting, I've never heard the fan..
@@belema22 It's not particularly loud, but in a silent space its very noticeable and very annoyingly high pitched
Yeah…. Never heard a fan at all. In a quiet space either.
Any recommendations on a good tv ?

you need better display app to enable hidipi resolution
did you use your phone to film this entire video? genuinely curious! highlights and contrasts are looking a little different!
what monitor arms are any good? i ordered the same monitor it came today lol
I just don't get why they don't put Thunderbolt in such high end displays. I would buy it immediately. So you can connect your mac by type-c and at the same time connect your gaming rig by DP.
Because it’s expensive. Adds an additional $100-$200. As it’s owned by Intel so they have to license it from them.
@ yes, it is expensive, but we are looking at high end segment. So I don’t get that, why vendor can’t pay some royalty and make their display a lil bit more expensive.
How is the fan noise? I heard a lot of people complain about the monitor producing an annoying hiss sound but no youtuber talks about it?!
I haven’t heard the fan once. And I live in Dubai where of course it’s hotter than normal. Didn’t even know there was a fan issue until I saw some comments on this video 😅
@@Oliur ohh haha seems like it might me a qc issue then?

I would get the LG. The matte display isn’t really all that matte.

Who would have thought that LTT would sponsor other RUclips videos

banger video as always!
This or the MSI 321URX which I’ve also covered are good choices.
@@Oliurthanks! 👍🏻
Can i use this monitor with mac mini m4?
Yep!
Did you exchange your MSI for it? for what reason? msi was brilliant, I thought it was better
Nope, I still have the MSI. I’ve found the LG better for high refresh rate gaming.
Oliur, check out the MSI AXE5400 Wi-Fi USB Adapter. It clears my built-in antenna.
With the lack of USB C PD, it hardly is the best monitor money can buy. There's the ASUS PG32UCDP which (if I'm not wrong) uses the same panel and actually offers 90W USB C PD, and other few extras
Would be better if it was a bit curved, 1500R 1000R
You use windows?!
No USB C??

Anyone tried it for extended period of productivity work (ideally designing UI)?
I don't understand why they don't add USBC :(
Is this video sped up slightly?
Shot at 60fps for the shots of the screen. Which is what probably makes it look fast.
@ i see! Accustomed to seeing 24fps on your videos haha

LG learning a lot from Mi it seems
Good looking monitor but I think the MSI OLED are a better value !
OLED for productivity is a bad idea because of burning problem.
G6 or g8. Better tbh

not glossy, would buy it if it was
Oké let's be honest that thing is ugly
Nah Glossy or nothing 😅
