Win One Here: **Closes at 10PM GMT TODAY**: gleam.io/Q2EJK/upgrade-to-oled-gaming-setup-with-lg-ultragear What do you think about this screen? Anything they could do to improve the next gen?!
Loving it as a 27inch but ... that for me, that cost is way too high at $700. If you think about the desktop kit price with graphics cards at the same price, you're down way over a grand just to play a £45 game! This feels like a monitor for a certain audience and not for the general market.
i have this Monitor for my PS5 Pro and holy smokes... the image quality, the picture quality, the graphics, the sharpness, the colors and absolutely everything is incredible. i cannot say this enough. This monitor is an absolute beast, i mainly care about the image quality and picture 4K that's why i got it plus OLED my gosh the Blacks on this thing is amazingly dark inky i love it!!! I'm Coming from Sony inzone M9 4K ips 27" monitor and it was an awesome monitor but this right here is different Game Changer, also the "matte coating on the display is not grainy at all or very mattey, its more like matte and glossy put together in one, it really is nice to look at and the most amazing part of all of this, it went on sale for $400 off so i paid $999.99 plus tax instead of retail price of $1399.99 plus tax, i got it at Best Buy
I'm also considering buying this monitor and I'm coming from Sony Inzone M9 as well. Is there difference between the 2 monitors that huge? Especially for PS5 Pro setting cuz I have it as well
Recommend the asus one, it gets brighter in hdr with probably better accuracy, and has kvm. Only go for lg if you really use the speakers or can’t vesa mount the asus for whatever reason
I’m two years into using my LG C2 several hours per day, and have no burn in or panel degradation. I used to avoid OLED because of that fear but it has been a total non issue
Same here, 48inch LG OLED TV used as 4k monitor 10-12 hours each day for two years already, no burn ins or any other issues. Still find it better thn any monitor, also in price. The 48 inch size is the only way to make not scalable UI, menu text, etc in 4k readable for me. It is my center monitor, I have two portrait-rotated 27 inch LCDs on both sides, which I selected so, they have a screen width (which is their height when rotated) exectly same to the mm as my LG TV's height.
@PeteMatheson where can I get this Apple-like aerial screensaver displayed throughout the video? I assume it’s on Windows right? Actually great for burn-in prevention!
Great video as always - I really need a monitor that matches the clarity of my MacBook Pro screen and playing with a PS5 - would you recommend this one? What other would you recommend?
@@PeteMatheson That’s great! I’m planning to buy one both for work (graphic design) and for gaming. BTW I’ve just subscribed to your channel, great content! 🙌
Just bought this monitor and hooked it up to my PS5, how are you able to get the colors and quality looking so crisp on console? I have tweaked pretty much every setting and the colors feel faded and the brightness of the screen is very dim. Do I need to calibrate or update it on my PC before connecting it to my PS5?
I have this monitor, but I’d like to know other people’s opinions about HDR. Do you prefer using it in SDR instead? I’m currently using it in HDR, but I’m not sure if my color calibration is correct.
I’m redoing my setup and I had my heart set on the secret labs magnus pro, with the secret labs monitor arm and also possibly this monitor. Could you link what I would need to make sure this monitor fits on the arm? Thanks in advance
Great video, i just have one question - how do you find media consumption on this monitor? I have the LG 27 inch and dare i say it is surprisingly horrible anytime there is a dark scene in a movie/show. The blacks become quite grey and the image gets quite splotchy. Curious what your experience is on your 32 inch? Thanks!
PeteMatheson I have a few criterias I list here and maybe you can help me out - I need a setup with displayport 1.4 and hdmi 2.1 (check) - A minimum of 144 hz (check) - No burn in from the OLED ? - A dual setup of 2 monitors, I'm considering this LG ultragear as it seems amazing, but the second monitor I would prefer had a similar design. Have you found any lookalike moniters that won't breeak my bank just for a second monitor?
Hey there! Amazing analysis! I have a Caldigit TS3 Plus dock and this monitor. I use it as an extended screen for my Macbook 14" M1 Pro. Do you get those referesh rates through display port with the Caldigit Dock? The most I get is 120hz with HDR off, or 60hz with HDR on. And to get that I also had to mess with the Display Port settings, and disable the DSC, because the most I was getting was 94hz. Did you ever tried to use it as an extended screen? Do you think my incompatibility problems may be from my first gen M1 Pro? I always thought it was because of the dock, and I was thinking of upgrading to Caldigit TS4 because of that.
hi dump question, i bought the monitor using laptop, not getting 4k at all, i know maybe the graphic card may not support 4k, but I was told if i connect hdmi to usbc adapter, my laptop support 5K, how can i tell and see my referesh rate, HS and 4K resolution on the monitor
Im searching for a 4K monitor for productivity but I want it to have high refresh rate if possible This one is great but it’s OLED so I’m afraid of burn in .. I’ll use it for music production
I’ve genuinely struggled to find people who have suffered burn in with a modern OLED. Yes, plenty of people will come out online to say they had it, but the majority of users just happily use them at home without coming onto RUclips / Reddit to say how happy they are 🤪 If you’re in a music studio where it’s ONLY used for production then enable the pixel shifting features, play some videos on it from time to time and don’t leave it on overnight - I’d hazard a guess that you’ll be just fine
@@MatthewTaylor-hd2tk no Im keeping mine for now, ill see in January I have other things to buy before maybe there will be new generations of improvement soon
Hey, nice review! One question: how did you connect your Mac with the monitor? Is it just HDMI 2.1 or DP Cable? Asking because i read about refresh rate issues (only 30 hz) when connected with HDMI. Planning to use the monitor for productivity work on a M1 Pro Mac.
I bought this monitor a few days ago. I wish I had known my 1080 Ti can’t support 4K 240hz or 1080p 480hz 🥲 well. Now I know to save up for a 4090 and a new PSU ugh.
I have a question, and I don't think anyone is talking about it but the 'color temperature control' setting in AMD's gpu software is on by default and completely ruins colors from what i can tell (even with custom color disabled (need to toggle 'custom color' to enabled then disable 'color temperature control'). Turning this off appears to fix washed out hdr and looks way more realistic. And even in SDR mode, it fixes colors in a completely opposite way, colors looked really oversaturated to me when windows is in sdr mode until i disabled this setting. Someone here know about this? Has anyone tested this setting? This has been my experience with the 32gs95ue but could be just a windows+amd gpu thing?
@@Dukesofwhat I have the asus version of this monitor my setup is a 4090 /7950x3d On low setting with dlss performance I can push 450-500fps but the game looks pretty bad. Personally idc bout the looks so much but you can definitely get 360hz with decent graphics settings if you care bout that

when monitor in portrait mode the 4k resolution disappears, reverts back to standard resolution
if only they made it in a ultra wide version

But they don’t have pixel burn warranty when asus has

No usb-c in 2024 is an instant no go
Two years of burn-in warranty is a shame. And missing the KVM switch and USB c PD is so a big disappointment
Colors: Nothing special compared to IPS Smoothnes: compared to iPS 240hz? Like going from 60hz to 144
It has a Matt finish so I have to pass. Glossy screen on OLED is the way to go.
