Thought I was having Deja Vu with that title and thumbnail haha
Yeh I wasn’t expecting to make an updated video so soon.
I thought it was Optimum for a second, but he doesn't talk about console or Mac
Wow haven't seen your channel in a while!!! You look great man glad to see youve come so far. My grandfather has also gone through similar recently and recovered 🔥Great to see it all
Can’t wait to see what pc build you’re rocking to power this beast. Awesome video man
Literally just found this video while doing research for my next setup, 30min AFTER already watching the older one you mentionned. The speed at which our technology is getting better is absolutely wild!
I have been waiting for glossy monitors for YEARS. Good to see that they’re finally making a come back with these OLED panels.
Thank you Oliur, I searched for a one monitor setup for MacBook Pro and PS5 and this video came out on time
Cant wait to get mine. My current monitor is 12 years old...it's gonna be a trip :D
Yes this monitor is SO GOOD! This is my first monitor I use for productivity and gaming, and after seeing the quality of OLED I doubt I can ever go back.
I was eagerly waiting for this review after I saw the monitor in the house tour video
Great Video! Thanks for sharing
Thank you for this video 👏 This is exactly what I’m looking for now. Choosing between this MSI, Alienware, Samsung and ASUS, all with 32" 4K OLED 240Hz.
Do you have the model names for those?
Thank you Oliur for the review on this monitor! I am in the process of creating my first setup and your videos have been very useful!!🙏 I was wondering what PC you had in this video?
I agree. I wish that manufacture would include a remote, it makes it much more convenient by not having to reach around.
End game monitor which will be released soon will be the next Pro Display XDR. 6K 120 hertz with a tandem oled panel. This technology allows for oled that can do 1000 nit FULL SCREEN peak brightness. Until the release of the iPad Pro M4 this was only possible on $30,000 reverence monitors. We will finally all be able to grade and experience true HDR.
my reserve on that is the power input required to sustain 1k nits on a >30 inch monitor. Then, of course, you mention 30k but what makes you think an official Apple Display with those specs would be less than 2.5k
@@jack_2612 I would it expect it to cost $6,000 to $10,000 which is less than the other HDR reference monitors. You got a point with the power though and it could be just 6K 60 hertz again just with tandem OLED.
Tandem will reduce power consumption drastically while also reducing burn in risk. It will still cost an arm and leg for mere mortals but will be fire
@@JeannemarreWhy is this better than MiniLED? OLED burn-in seems more an issue with a desktop UI with permanent on-screen elements.
@@MadLadsAnonymous miniled is great but creates blooming. OLED gives you sharp edges with unbeatable contrast.
I have the Asus PG32UCDM. 4K, 240hz, VRR, HDR10, Dolby & OLED!! I absolutely love it.
Great review! You now make it difficult for me I was very close to buy the Asus Rog 32 4k 240 hz but now I have my eyes on this one also. Cheers from Sweden=)
230 nit max SDR brightness is a nonstarter for me, and would probably be quite frustrating for many other mac users
230 is crazy low. My LG Ultrafine 4k goes up to 500
Oliur also said that he still has his 6k 32inch monitor that he uses for work. So, still not a monitor he relies on. Which is understandable. But needs to be emphasised rather than excused. It's not a perfect monitor and I'm not running out to get it. The resolution is just too low for me personally. Regarding brightness, anything less than 600nits sdr is a no go for me. 600nits minimum and 230ppi minimum (the more the better and yes I can tell, it completely changes the experience for me). Oled is awesome and so is hdr (real hdr, better be 1500nits+). Refresh rate is the one thing out of all of these that I personally am willing to sacrifice. I want 120hz+ but I will take 60hz. 75hz would be much better. But I'm not willing to sacrifice on anything else. Regarding price, I also don't mind. Make it below £5000 and even if I don't buy it, I'll keep my eye on it and be glad it exists. Basically need an 8k display at 32inch to get 275ppi. For now, I'm happy with the studio display. The 6k 32inch display is awesome but I can't afford to buy that at the moment. Also, 3:2 aspect ratio is golden. Love it.
Oliur strikes again!
I went to Apple Studio Display and although I miss the high refresh rate, i wouldn't want to go back.
It is certainly not convenient to have a separate gaming display and the OLED's are looking better for productivity, but 5k studio display is just really nice and crisp. Good speakers and built in webcam make it all very nice to work with (also gone are the days where people always see you from the side because of the laptop webcam).
Watching this review on the 27 inch version. It is 2k but 360Hz. I love it. I see myself switching to a bigger screen in the future. However, the 32 inch is around 1800 USD in my region..
I have the 1440P 27 inch version of this and I love it
Great video, hope you've been having a good time in Dubai! I wish you spoke more about text and system UI text and what not. It would be great if you made a video about how it fares when you use it on Figma. I was almost locked-in to buy the Philips monitor you referenced in the video based on your recommendation, but now with this new option.. I have to know how the text looks like is like before I pull the trigger. (Product Designer problems) Keep it up! #text-fringing
I use an Apple Magic Trackpad, the original that takes AA batteries. It has the gestures that I am used to.
swear down that keyboard is dang nice. ooouiii!!!!
I was so bored until I saw Oluir new video 😗✨️
Eh OLED is amazing but for productivity, I still think IPS is the way to go. Loved the LG C2 but if you're not 100% gaming and actually use the panel for productivity as well, it just doesn't cut it. OLED's text clarity just isn't there yet, in my opinion. I've landed on Dell's latest U4025QW and it's perfect for me. Ultrawide 5K2K 120Hz and looks great on Windows and MacOS.
42 Inch LC C3 for $658 is all I need. I use a glossy monitor, SO uses a matte one.
You might be able to remove the logo on the chin with acetone
waiting for your Gaming PC build video.
USB-C or USB-C with display-alt is not the same as thunderbolt, charging only with thunderbolt.
But nice to see that a near perfect monitor is here finally. A year ago a monitor with high resolution, high refresh rate and usb-c with power transfer didn't exist.
I want this monitor, except I want it 5K 120 and QHD 480Hz dual mode. I feel like 4K at 32" is a little too soft for content creation and consumption and 1080p at 32" is a little too soft for gaming, so upping the resolution by 2x on both ends would be killer. And 5K is exactly 4x QHD so the pixel scaling would be perfect. I hope we see this kind of monitor next year with the next generation of this OLED panel tech and Thunderbolt 5.
Bro, what desk is that one? I already bought a couple of things for my setup since I'm working from home, but at my last visit at ikea I kind of wasn't pleased 100% with the desks I saw. I got an Ergo LG 32" which is kind of heavy, I guess I'll pay for the flexi even if is like $500. That one looks very clean, and looks like 24x50 or 28 x50 inches dimensions ?
This actually may be the perfect monitor. I currently have a 5K Studio Display that I share with my Macs ... but the KVM in here and the ability to share with a PC is compelling. The lack of speakers and web-cam could be an issue for me. (and I do love having 5K for video edits).
That said: Had I found this monitor a year ago, I'd have it on my desk instead of the Studio Display.
What's your thoughts on this monitor when comparing with the Studio Display?
How are you liking that Iqunix Magi65 keyboard? I can't find any reviews anywhere on that thing yet.
That iqunix keyboard?! :o
Would this work with a Mac Studio? usb c delivery wise.
This is the EXACT monitor I was looking for as a content creator/gamer/macbook and PC user. I bought a LG C2 Oled TV + a thunderbolt HUB and was really happy with it, but watching this video makes me question my life choices. My wallet thanks you
Do you use a switch between your PC, PS5 and Mac or do you have to go to the monitor menu and switch
I was about to ask you for not clickbait’s 🤣🤣🤣 then in Less than 30 seconds you explain why because of the old video! Nice job 😂😂😂
The Samsung G80SD ticks all those boxes and comes with a remote. Actually not sure it has USB C with power delivery
great video, i'm still really intrigued by the LG 32GS95UE
I have that too. Might have a video coming in a few months, after I finish travelling.
@@Oliur would love to see it, cheers!
can you link please the laptop stand?
once try the msi modern gaming monitor
Lol. literally a few days after I purchased the Philips monitor. Well done mate :)
how is it, literally had in my amazon basket for a week now
@@viktor.olsson Hi, I'm just seeing this. It's a fantastic monitor, the back is plasticky, mounting it on a monitor arm was a breeze, I love the led lights behind it even though there is a lag when you make it show lights based on the video you're watching. The monitor is absolute class when it comes to gaming with my PS5, and even watching videos too. Nevertheless, if I had seen this video before purchasing mine, I'd have gotten the OLED monitor as budget wasn't a limiting factor, I just needed something minimal, neat, and a little premium.
I have been trying to buy this monitor for 4 months. It's literally never in stock. Monitors unboxed review was 4 months ago.
I finally gave up and decided to try the Dell, but it's slightly curved. Not sure I am going to like that.
The only and biggest problem with this monitor specifically in the US is IT’S NEVER IN STOCK!!! Been waiting since it released which was like over 4 months ago and I haven’t seen it in normal stock on any platform since (and the second it comes on it instantly sells out). Everything about this monitor and the price point makes it perfect for me, but sadly it’s a unicorn 😢
Thought he was reviewing my LG ergo 32un880
As a designer, have you ever noticed any issues with non-retina monitors and macOS scaling? That’s my only question about 4K.
No scaling issues. MacOS has a ton of scaling options. It's more sharpness. Nothing will beat perfect scaling which Apple make sure is the case on all of their displays.
@@Oliur I enjoy all of your vids, however I feel you should inform your audience about Apple’s 4K scaling limitations.
What limitations? Can you link me to a source?
Google “bjango scaling” - it’s described in detail there. Mac is only good for 100-120 PPI without scaling and 200-250 PPI at 2x, everything in between leads to issues. The exact reason I can’t pick one myself, there are only a few 6K monitors out there and they’re 60hz, while 1440p doesn’t feel sharp enough.
Yep thought the same thing.

An Xbox can be used for a monitor as well right?
thoughts on the ASUS ROG Swift OLED PG32UCDM?
dang i thought i was tripping when yt said that this was released 13 hours ago
I've been using a glossy Acer monitor since 2014, I refuse to go back to a screen that has matte anti glare coating.. When it broke in 2023 it took me some time to find a new glossy monitor, almost as if they're barely made still. The monitor in this video is way outside of my budget, so I'm glad I found an old second hand Acer monitor from 2013. Hopefully glossy will become more mainstream before this one also dies.
On B&H it's about 1000USD, but when I checked on this monitor on my local website (Shopee Malaysia) it's 2000USD💀
Does anyone happen to know a monitor that satisfies these requirements minus the OLED? (Would also consider an ultrawide). Using this monitor primarily for work with spreadsheet software, so OLED is a no go for me.
I have two LG DualUp monitors. I wouldn't give them up.
ive been looking at one for months now.
It feels a little weird seeing so many parts of this video being out of usual Oliur's aesthetic thanks to the monitor's hardware and software 😅
Got a question, if people just upgrading their monitor, where they put the old ones? Sell it? or just gonna be a waste of a working monitor?
I make sure I'm able to sell my old gear before buying new
4 seconds ago is crazy
Me sitting here watching this video on a just bought Apple Thunderbolt Display from 2011.
cool
Sweet! Hate the chin though. Just wish all brands would move their logos to the back
HDMI 2.1?
The most important thing
Is it 10 bit or 8 bit ? That what matters nowadays
what about burn in? :(
May I know why the keyboard on your MacBook is different in terms of the 'enter' and the 'shift' button 🤔
UK ISO keyboard layout.
Thank you for the reply. And thank you for the amazing content as usual 🫡
If only they would actually make and sell the dang thing
4K is not enough resolution for a Mac monitor larger than 22 inches. The PPI is simply way too low.
how can you afford all this?
20:10 and 20:8 are better than 16:9:
20:10 TV4K = 4000x2000
20:8 Movie4K = 4000x1600
50 in is the best size
4K wont properly scale in macos right ?
I was also thinking about this. I’d rather get an older 5k monitor.
Video have not been hitting the same this year 😢
I just bought the phillips monitor 😭
Come on bro, I just bought my Philips momentum 😭
4K at 32" for macOS is a non-starter. Good for gaming though!
OLED just isn’t the way yet for productivity. Always that risk of Burn In
that monitor is HOT
Who in their right mind would buy a keyboard without function keys?
Come on! Own up!!! Is it you!? :)
QD-OLED is not good imo for a monitor.
There's a lot of evidence that those monitors burn-in very fast. And we still have the ClearType and text clarity problem. OLED monitores are NOT the answer for definitive monitor. Actually, a expensive and short life product that we need to replace every 2 or 3 years is just too perfect to take all our money. They will push HARD those monitors because they are a very bad deal for the consumer.
ah yes! reasonably priced at $950 😂. in my country, that is at least 4 months of salary😅
🙈😅 I do only cover premium tech on the channel.
.. and of course it is out of stock everywhere. :-(
Yea 1.500€💀
You said 120hz from your MacBook Air M2 ??????? i thought 60hz was the max for this laptop.
Yep! If you look at 8:48 you can see the refresh rate and my Macbook Air on the screen.
If it is not 5K it is not great for Mac.
And this one isn't 5K.
4k for mac fucking sucks you have to be not blind at all 20/20 I have the C3, and use 1440 just for the mac. so nah fuck this .
120hz? Lame
Hi there! I made mistake while buying ur reset lightroom, contact me 😢
