'A Symbol of Support, Inclusivity and Empowerment,' My Henrico Academy graduates class of 2024

My Henrico Academy, a county program launched in 2019 to engage multicultural communities and promote civic involvement, held its fourth graduation June 6 at the Henrico Theatre. The 18 graduates are now equipped to serve as leaders and ambassadors in their communities.
Dayana Bjorkman, a native of Colombia, said she applied to the program in hopes of helping others and learning more about county government. As she prepared to graduate, she reflected on the program's positive impact on her and her fellow graduates.
"My Henrico Academy is not just a program, it is a symbol of support, inclusivity and empowerment," she said.
