Alex French Guy Cooking , Can you also make a video for crème pâtissière with tips and tricks like this chouquette recipe, s'il vous plait? Je nécessite les chouquettes et la crème pâtissière.
You are adorable! The real entertainment I found in this video was not how easy or delicious this recipe is, but rather how passionate you are to share your knowledge of food! It's very inspiring, thank you!
I watched this video yesterday and have made this recipe for friends 3 times in the past 24 hours. It's so nice because almost everyone has the ingredients in their pantry, so you can make it at a friend's party. Add some vanilla, orange, or almond extract to take it to the next level.
pro tip : you have to cool the dough for a bit first, so you wont cook the egg and stop it from raising also, eggs are added one by one to avoid the fats from butter from splitting
Also: if you messed up and added the eggs too soon and ruined it all, if you were doing it one at a time, you saved the remaining eggs for your next try.
I bought a bag of chouquettes when I visited LA from this little bakery and I was obsessed! They are so delicious! I can’t believe more bakeries don’t make and sell them (at least in my area). I’m happy to see that the recipe is so easy though! That means I can try to make them myself! Thank you!
I have tried this recipe so many times and they were always delicious! Once, I forgot to sprinkle sugar on top so instead, I glazed them with a lemon glaze. Thanks a ton for the recipe~
The point of putting eggs one by one is just to be sure to have the right consistency. (It depends on the type/quality of flour) If the dough is too runny, it is ruined. A dough a little too firm is better than the contrary. So I advise to put the majority of eggs first, then put the last one(s) one by one, or even half by half (Whisking the last egg)
This brought back childhood memories. Whenever my mom wanted to make eclairs she had me make the choux. I hadn't thought of that in a long while. If a ten or twelve year old can do it, I think anyone can.
Omg i just discovered you and already liked you from one video. It's my third and i love you already. You're just so entertaining, funny and your way of cooking is just so simple and chill but still good food. Super happy i found ya!
This my first time making chouquettes, mine were still a tiny wet inside, very little though. They were very good though and I will definitely make them again until I get them 100%. Thanks Alex, yet another easy and delicious French recipe!
I adore your videos and how you approach them, I think the format and everything is so unique and endearing. Also the recipes you share are beautiful which is always a good thing for a cooking channel haha. Hope your youtube success grows and grows, good luck! :)
Oh i have made those quite a few times, without milk thou, and yeah i learned to add one egg at a time, but i dont add either salt or sugar to the mix because... I'm from Argentina and we take all French recipes and fill them with Dulce de Leche, croisant, crepes and... those too, filling everything with Dulce de Leche... its so delicious...
I had no idea that this could be a sweet treat. I tried another recipe that is almost the same but with cheese, delicious. I have to try this one soon.
This pate a choux without eggs is the same dough we use in Brazil to make coxinhas and risoles! If you don't add eggs, fill it with shredded chicken or cheese, roll it in breadcrumps and fry it you'll have a wonderful brazillian snack!
I have made a swan from the dough you just made in school, and it is incredibly easy to make, it is delicious if you add flavoring of some sort, and I would make it again.
Ooooooh ! J'adoooooore chouquette ! I will most definitely try out this recipe! Looks simple enough! And by the way, you sound so much normal and better (of course) with that French accented English :)
Amazing! I had no idea Chouquettes were so easy to make! I love them! Now with your recipe, I can’t wait to try it out! Thanks a lot for sharing! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🤗👍🏻💐😎
These sweet puffs taste like a piece of heaven! I cut them in half and filled them with some Amaretto-Mascarpone-Cream... maybe this was a bit too italian, but so good! Thank you really much for this super easy, perfect and simply amazing recipe! ;-)
I had chouquette while on vacation at a French bakery in Vancouver and loved it. Should have got a dozen of them. Since I got home I've not been able to find them ANYWHERE :( Guess i will have to make it.
Just love this video. Chefs normally tell you how complicated it is to make a perfect pâte à choux. (ah, you noticed it: "normally" :) ) So many thanks for that easy video!
And here we have yet another recipe that I have to try. I'm continuously at the brink of ruining my mother's cooking gear, but step by step I'm making progress. This time I can't do anything wrong though! Right? I'm also feeling a bit frisky so I think I'll use some melted chocolate with this as well.
This is a fantastic recipe for you to familiarize!!! This pastry always seemed too intimidating before..for some stupid reason!!! I am making these ASAP!!! Merci!!!
Have not made those for decades.. But I might give it a go again with a savoury twist.. Love savoury even better (and can do without the side effects of sugar too) (offcourse I thumbed it up!)
Yay! Haha oh thanks XD I love cooking and seeing your videos is so much fun, it's great to see the fun ways you present information and I always watch your show with my siblings. Thanks for being so awesome! Keep being you : ) Cheers!

Could you please create a vdo of éclair recipe. I tested a very delicious mocha éclair in France but I couldn't find a good one in Thaïlande. S'il vous plaît :)
Can I use almond milk instead of regular milk? LOVE THIS, I didn't think I could make anything this fancy being a student, but I have everything in my kitchen *___* thank you
I just made these and it worked as easy as your video. The thing is they have a little to strong of an egg taste for my children. I made them again, but with a little more sugar and it still has a strong egg taste. Any recommendations?
I'm not sure if the consistency of my dough is wrong? But when i go to bake them, they get brown on the outside faster than they cook on the inside..? :(
everyone always tells me these are so hard to make (the dough is called brandteig = burned dough in austria) but i think it is super easy - btw we usually put it in beef-soup rather then eat it as a sweet treat. oh, and i will so add the eggs at once next time i make it, it's the one think that always bothered me because i am not very patient
just finished cooking them.. the whole process went exactly as per the video.. I found that after ten minutes I started getting a little too much colour in a few of them. Turned the oven down a bit for the last ten minutes. Cooling now !

Is this the same as those bigger Choux buns you can buy? If adding cream to the inside how do you recommend doing this, any simple way?
Make a cut beneath the choux, and Use a plastic bag to fill it from below. I made it. It's brilliant.
Alex what did u put at the corners of the parchment paper ?@4:08
