I love this- it's fresh, new and exciting food, which looks fantastic - but you also make us lose our fear of doing what seem to be difficult things (like making the pastry from scratch) - AND you give us lessons in geometry and trigonometry! Hurrah! I promise to make this next weekend - thank you
I've never thought of dividing the Quiche into three! Such brilliance,! I'm going to try this the next time I have a brunch, with the three cheeses. It looks wonderful, and can be made in so many variations my mind is racing! Alex , You give me so many ideas every time I see one of your videos. Keep up the good work!
I'm watching it four and a half years later and gosh, you're english has gotten SO MUCH better! Plus I thoroughly enjoy watching the series you've been doing lately, it feels less 'staged' and much more fun for you to film! Always loved your content and always will! Salut from Italy
Things I love: 1) How you say "Salut! This is Alex", stressing the e: /aléx/ 2) your smile 3) your french cuisine ...well, pretty much: you. Besos grandes!
Roasted Anaheim peppers, zucchini, jack cheese, corn, and roasted tomatoes. A little cornmeal in the crust, perhaps. Sauté the zucchini with a little onion and cumin seeds. Garnish with chili powder. Yummmm.
Maaaan!! :) ... this was my very first attempt to do a quiche ... and it was really fantastic! ... thanks to you :) ... I did a 3 parts one with 1. Roquefort, Spinach, Cooked Ham and roasted Pumpkin Seeds | 2. Hal-fed Cocktail Tomatoes, Mozarella, lot of fresh Basil and very fine chopped dry Tomatoes | 3. Grilled mixed Mushrooms with Bacon dices lots of fresh Parsley and Sweat natural caramelized Onions | What a FEST!! .... served it with nice fresh mixed garden Salats with pomegranate seeds and raspberry vinegrette. Lovley :) Thank you Alex for your inspiration and your style :)
Dividing the crust into thirds by using geometry is a trick to make me think I should have paid attention in school! I want that blue cheese. What a lovely place to visit! Must have been a great trip. The quiche looks amazing.
Big ones seem great for sharing, but I don't have a pie tin :( i wonder whether I could use muffin tins to make small quiche shells for those on-the-run times :D Also, maybe some Chinese flavours would be groovy~~~
Perfect timing! I have company coming this weekend and one of their favorites is quiche! This will be a great way to prepare it because everyone will have a choice of flavors. It makes it so much more fun to have a variety of flavors so everyone can have an individual "food adventure" lol ! I'll have a slice of the smokey with chili and bacon please. :)
I made this as a dish for Christmas with some minor changes (slightly different cheeses, sliced dried figs as fresh figs not in season) and the whole thing was demolished! I didn't even get time to take a picture, it was the prettiest dish on the table!
I just started to make quiche in a slow cooker, in a cake tin with a removable base. Searched You tube high and low and could not find any videos so I had to cook it blind and hope for the best. The first one was ok but I forgot the eggs and every quiche I made since has been perfect. Great video and I just have to try and partition a quiche into 3 sections as this idea is very good.
Good grief, you are an absolute delight. Thank you very much for this! I've been meaning to stop being lazy and get round to making a quiche again- I'll take this as a sign from the universe to get on it even faster :-)
@ 1:05 what is the ingredient you're putting in the flour? I sounded like you said "suffenbur" or something like that. Never heard of it. An ingredients list would be nice! Thanks for all your great videos!
One of my favourite quiches is with roast peppers, onion, garlic and feta. Really tasty, especially with a splinkle of oregano on top before you pop it in the oven. There are so many though! Damn now I want some quiche. . .
MrKevinLei Ha ha ! I am basically trying an explicit hypnotic experience on you guys. Now relax and slowly read : < < YoU fEel cOmForTable. yOu WaNnA SuBscRibE > >

Oh wow, Alex looks so young. Didn't realise you'd been doing this RUclips thing for so long. Been craving a quiche for weeks now. Going to have to cave in and make one.
Call me old fashioned, but I love traditional quiche Lorraine with just cheese and bacon. I will definitely be trying out your crumbly crust though! It seems that I overwork my pastry crust. Live and learn.
When I am in a hurry, quiche is tomato basil. One can drained diced tomatoes, and an overwhelming amount of basil. Done. Crust optional, although at that point it is custard, not quiche. Quiche is a great way to use leftovers, so they never get made the same twice. My husband likes beef, onions and cheddar.
I am going to try to make the bluecheese one, if I can find the figs. Holiday season is coming, I could really impress my family if I bring a quiche like that to the party. :)
Glad to see your recipe again Alex!. I am tempted to make the separator higher and call it "peace quiche" :p. I couldn't understand the earlier 2 cheese, i only get the blue cheese, that smoked and caerfili cheese is not common here, probably gonna try with parmessan/romano for as the smoked, and feta or paneer as the fresh cheese, i hope it will work :p
I have a question when making your dough you used melted butter? When a lot of people use cold butter. Haven't made a pie crust yet before just learning before I do it.
that math was so boss, i will literally use that everywhere possible
