I've driven a Honda Civic, an Acura Integra, a Ford Contour, a Chevy Suburban, a Honda Accord, a Dodge Caliber, a Toyota Rav 4 but none of those can compare to Lexus. That's why I own a 98' ES 300 and a 2013 GS 350 😉Tell 'em Scotty!
Lexus RX is amazing! One of the best SUV/crossovers for the best luxury! My family and I just got the new Lexus RX450HL which really rides like a dream. I believe that Lexus is so reliable and really made to last for life! Anyone who wants to get a luxury SUV get the Lexus RX!
I have the original, the 2000 Lexus RX300. It has 214,000 miles in it and it still runs like a brand new car. I paid $2,500 for it and I can drive it anywhere without a single problem. I actually like the original RX300 body design much better because it has more room in the back and the back windows are big enough to have great visibility.
@@Shabbe02 It's not "better" if you prefer a smaller, simpler vehicle or if you prefer the looks of a previous model. The four cylinders in the newest ones are inferior to the V6 in the previous models IMO. Remember folks there’s always an affordable Toyota/ Lexus for your income. if you don’t earn enough for this you don’t have to get this if want a reliable luxurious suv you can just get the UX or NX. There’s also the Acura’s but I think they won’t hold up as well as Lexus’s.
Bought a used 2016 base model two years ago. Only maintenance so far...oil changes. Even the base model is pretty much loaded for anything I want. Love driving this SUV!
I have to agree with Scotty about the RXs and they're beautiful vehicles as well, which you don't usually say about an SUV (function over form). There's not a bad angle on them, very striking to look at.
My grandma says she will get a new Honda when hers dies and she really wants a crv, but she's had her accord for 14 years and it's got less than 55k miles 😂
Just bought a '21. 17k miles. Paid just shy of 40k dollars. Premium with 20 in wheels. Champaign color. 2 tone leather interior. My 1st Toyota product. Beautiful SUV. She loves it. They say their 3.5s has a tendency of seeping oil with a lot of miles on them. I hope not. We plan on keeping it for a long time. Will keep the oil changing every 5k miles.
Just bought one. Took me a few years to pull the trigger but so happy I did. Lexus will rent you a new rx350 for about 80$ a whole day. Figure out if you like it and find a used 2018 loaded luxury edition with low miles for about 20000$ off original price. Worth every penny. You just have to figure out if you want to spend 650$ a month for 6 years. Just do it! Lol
@@johnoseghale5978 You're problem might be the RX 350 will keep running for another 15 years after your first 5. Right now I ride around in a 1999 Camry and every component of it works. Not a damn thing wrong with it. Oh great . . . I'm driving around (comfortably) in an extremely boring car that doesn't know how to quit, or fail, or do something . . . jeez.
@@Thebarbariantruckershow The way I see it I could get a 2012 RX 350 with 175K miles on it and it'll still be running 10 years after. I've seen them on Craigslist for less than $15K. But I like your suggestion of renting one for a day. Once I get my wife hooked it's all down hill from there.
I bought my first car, a Lexus RX Hybrid F-Sport fully loaded. I will give this to my son and he can give it to his child. And it will still drive like new at 500,000+ miles.
That hard breaking noise was the ABS Pump pulsating the brake pads to prevent wheel lockup so you maintain steering control. All ABS systems pulsate and make that noise when you really put your leg into the break pedal.
Your right about the Lexus 350 , I brought a 2017 RX350 Black with two tone brown interior, has the 20 inch wheels. Great car, I love driving it! I had for about 3 months! Love the heated wheel, on these cold mornings, heated seats , only had 50,000 miles on it, got it about half the price of a new one
I already purchased an Acura RDX 2019 w/ tech package rides really smooth, love the way it handles, love the steering wheel and it is very comfortable. It was also in my price range. Test drove a Lexus SUV didn't really like it but to each his own.
Scotty is right. I have a few cars, including a 2016 Volvo XC90 D5, father in law a BMW X3, my mom has the RX350 2016 AWD. The Lexus IS the smoothest ride, most comfortable, more quiet. Our favorite car so far.
My ‘99 RX 300 has 333,333.3 miles on her and runs like a Lexus. I’ll keep her until the engine or tranny gives up the ghost. If I live long enough I’ll look around and see if a used 6 cylinder RX is available! Long my she run…. Bill B.
Parents were set on getting an XC90, but last minute found a really good deal on an RX350 Luxury and they went for that instead. Probably saved them thousands in the long run.
Just picked up aN L-Certified 2018 350L fully loaded for $32k out the door with 2 year warranty and oil changes. 55k miles on it. Waiting a long time to find this unicorn.
I bought this car three weeks ago. It is truly enjoyable car to drive. I choose this car over Audi and BMW after test drive for the ride comfort and reliability. Highly recommended
Scott, I just picked up a regular wheelbase model earlier this month. I want it to last and you reassured I made the right choice over the German competitions.😀

250k miles on my '06 Rx 400h and it still runs like a dream with 0 electrical or mechanical problems in it's lifespan. 10/10 recommend for someone your (our) age.
most grads get a wRX
NX 200T is the best SUV I've ever driven. Owned an RX350...NX is a small ride packed with a punch...you confirm it when you travel with it...
Yeah, Mine is 2001, close to 290,000 km ,and run like a dream
I have a 99 and man I love it:)
What do you mean? Every generation after the original is bigger in every single way.
@@Shabbe02 It's not "better" if you prefer a smaller, simpler vehicle or if you prefer the looks of a previous model. The four cylinders in the newest ones are inferior to the V6 in the previous models IMO. It was quieter and will prove more reliable when the current turbo four cylinder starts falling apart after 150,000 miles.
My wife just bought a 2020 Lexus NX 350h SUV and she loves it. Great car, great look.
I laughed so hard when Scotty just threw that LEXUS engine cover like it was nothin... 😂😂😂
It's something???
That was my favorite part
I noticed the same thing! Lol
I thought I was the only one that chuckled at that but reading the comments not!! 😂😂
That was hilarious
Hey Scottie I bought an 09 Venza 175g's at $6 grand and it still rides like a dream . toyota Lexus is the best
I have to agree with Scotty about the RXs and they're beautiful vehicles as well, which you don't usually say about an SUV (function over form). There's not a bad angle on them, very striking to look at.
My 2002 RX 300 has almost 203,000 miles on it & I still love it! It has black leather & the wood grain trim & steering wheel in dark cherry wood.
I'll keep this in mind if my 2002 Honda accord ever dies lol
I don’t think it ever will lol 😂
My grandma says she will get a new Honda when hers dies and she really wants a crv, but she's had her accord for 14 years and it's got less than 55k miles 😂
Noah Czar my 2003 accord has 23k on it
Noah Czar she will get that new Honda, assuming she’s only 60
Exactly. 2003 Honda Accord for me
if educating young ones on what BEST to have is a sport, You are Michael Jordan Scotty
Scotty should put a fancy Lexus steering wheel in his Celica, that would be hilarious.
Not to mention an extraordinary engineering feat.
Why would that be funny?..
@@azeissler1987 There always has to be that guy...
I've had my eye on a Lexus RX 350 every since you told us no one ever has died in a crash in one of these.
Just do it! Lol
I just bought a used 2018 RX 350L with less than 40k miles for under $35K and I love it. I hope to use it for at least 5 years.
@@johnoseghale5978 Congratulations!
I bought my first car, a Lexus RX Hybrid F-Sport fully loaded. I will give this to my son and he can give it to his child. And it will still drive like new at 500,000+ miles.
Scotty I really appreciate it when you show me what cars are quality. Thank you Scotty
That hard breaking noise was the ABS Pump pulsating the brake pads to prevent wheel lockup so you maintain steering control. All ABS systems pulsate and make that noise when you really put your leg into the break pedal.
The day that Scott put the plastic cover on the ground "gently" that is the day I'm gonna win a lottery.
Lol!!
I have a 2019 RX350 and it’s paid for. Great vehicle. Works flawlessly.
Replacing the spark plugs and coils on the back side of this engine is a PIA so if one coil goes out back there, do them all along with spark plugs
I went out and bought a used one and I'm grateful for this video. I'm in love.
Love the sound of that V6
Your right about the Lexus 350 , I brought a 2017 RX350 Black with two tone brown interior, has the 20 inch wheels. Great car, I love driving it! I had for about 3 months! Love the heated wheel, on these cold mornings, heated seats , only had 50,000 miles on it, got it about half the price of a new one
Who would have guessed? A Toyota product! Do I smell the next brand ambassador for Toyota Motor Group? Go get em Scotty!
My second RX350. I’m a believer!
Stumbled upon this looking for so,etching else. I’m loving this guy. Appreciate the candid and IRL review !!!!
This is one of the best cars that is a SUV hands down. It is great in snow.
I already purchased an Acura RDX 2019 w/ tech package rides really smooth, love the way it handles, love the steering wheel and it is very comfortable. It was also in my price range. Test drove a Lexus SUV didn't really like it but to each his own.
Handlin, comfort, smooth ride and SAFETY
I'm going to become a mechanic because of Scotty 👍
Follow your passion bro 😎.
I bought the 2021 rx350L Scotty and I absolutely love it no doubt !
Scotty is right. I have a few cars, including a 2016 Volvo XC90 D5, father in law a BMW X3, my mom has the RX350 2016 AWD. The Lexus IS the smoothest ride, most comfortable, more quiet. Our favorite car so far.
My wife LOVES her RX350!! Thanks Scotty!!!
Scotty would be one helluva Third base coach, with all his arm moments🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
😆
I'm a very proud and happy owner of my Lexus RX350. Super great car.....and exzatly same color I have - silver with black interior 👌❤️ love it ❤️👌👍
I have a 1999 RX300 and the thing is bulletproof. You cant go wrong. They will NEVER die.
My ‘99 RX 300 has 333,333.3 miles on her and runs like a Lexus. I’ll keep her until the engine or tranny gives up the ghost. If I live long enough I’ll look around and see if a used 6 cylinder RX is available! Long my she run…. Bill B.
'Swap out the front end for the old one' LOL, I'm with you! You sir, are so fun to listen to. I love your pep and humor! :)
On my way to buy one cause Scotty said so.
ditto! 🙌🏼
Parents were set on getting an XC90, but last minute found a really good deal on an RX350 Luxury and they went for that instead. Probably saved them thousands in the long run.
yeah, saved 'thousands in maintenance and repairs'
Scotty Kilmer, still in love with engine plastic covers after Covid era.
I smiled when I heard the hood open up from the hydraulic latches. I laughed when scotty threw the hood in the yard!
I like how he throws the beauty cover away 😂
On a Chevy that cover costs about $300. On the Lexus it probably costs $3000. Lol
i bought a 2018 mazda cx-9 gt and now it has 37k miles and I love it . it is made in japan.
I’ll get one in 20 years 😎
Don't worry. It will be here waiting for you, and still be running like a dream.
With all those electronic gadgets, I wouldn't count on it...
"I like black wood" - Scotty 2020
lololololllllllllllllll
I like pink wood
I'm sure you do... lol

Don't think I've ever been this early to watch a Scotty video!
afternoon!
@@scottykilmer Replied to me! I'm never washing my fingertips that typed it LOL
When the engine cover says Lexus, it's not stupid, like the others.
Not a crap either.
Because Lexus makes better plastics, maybe?
I appreciate that Scotty makes vids for those that buy new but I will never be the first guy to drive it off the lot again.
I sat in one, and have to say, it's very similar to the 3rd gen.
I bought a 2009 model, made in Japan for 1/6th the price last year.
I’m a auto mechanic. Respect Ur knowledge, Ur RUclips talks gets funnier n me me laugh. I love them.
Evening Scotty! This is good, but I cant wait for the 2021 Toyota Venza!
Love my 2020 RX350...Luxury. Paid $57K. Great gas mileage
Its the cleanest I've seen yet
Just picked up aN L-Certified 2018 350L fully loaded for $32k out the door with 2 year warranty and oil changes. 55k miles on it. Waiting a long time to find this unicorn.
Takumi Craftsmanship at the factory for owners to enjoy for decades.
I bought this car three weeks ago. It is truly enjoyable car to drive. I choose this car over Audi and BMW after test drive for the ride comfort and reliability. Highly recommended
Tossing that engine cover like the crap it is. Love it! 😁😁
We must give reverence to the grass for cushioning the impact of such an expensive engine cover. The sound it made was an assurance.
I love lexus all together but I have a 2015 lexus NX 300h and I love it! Great video!
Scott, I just picked up a regular wheelbase model earlier this month. I want it to last and you reassured I made the right choice over the German competitions.😀
Good for you. How much you paid for it? If I may ask.
@@AdamWanly i am from Canada, so pricing could be different. 😀
