2:38 Lexus uses a different standard (the German VDA) to measure boot space. Most competitors will measure as if you're pouring a liquid into it, i.e. every nook and cranny is filled. The VDA method instead measures how many 200x50x100mm blocks (which is exactly one liter of volume) you can fit in. The blocks are not flexible so not every little corner can be used. As a result the Lexus figure for boot space is lower than the competitors but it's a much more realistic representation of how much you can fit in. Lexus doesn't play the "my number is higher than your number" game, they build cars you can actually use and you can rely on.
Had one for 6 years. Best car I’ve ever owned. It’s luxury motoring and built better than some megabucks cars and certainly more reliable than most. It hides it’s tech but is one of the most advanced cars on the road, very practical and roomy and super comfortable. I don’t care what others think of it or whether it’s the fastest etc. It’s still surprisingly fast off the mark, very torquey and economical for a two tonne awd 3.5 V6 petrol thanks to hybrid torque. Hybrid isn’t for economy though…this is where most journos get it wrong. It’s fir high torque to boost performance which helps economy, hence the name 450h. Similar pulling power to a 4.5 litre V8 from a 3.5 v6. Possibly one of if not the greatest car ever made fro a dealership network that really cars about customer service and experience. Buy with total confidence, you won’t regret it .
@saxkmr: I bought a 2021 rx450h fsport Takumi spec. Best of the whole lot. Better handling and even more room and comfort than my RX3, Apple car play (at last), better seats, rears heated, heated steering wheel and front heated/air con seats. Adaptive sports suspension, bladescan led headlamps etc. I tried a new 5th gen model but it was not as well built as 2021/2022 models, and used a buzzy 2.5 IL4 engine which lacked low grunt of 3.5v6. Hate the 5th gen infotainment touch screens. Mine retains buttons and has the widescreen toych screen. Negatives? Satnav is a disaster so I use Apple maps. Rear power tail lift has no manual lift option. That’s it. It will be my last one as I don’t rate later models. They make no sense when an equivalent Toyota or VW can be had for less.
What sets the Lexus apart from the competition is that it will outlast the competition, making it an excellent purchase as well as a lease. Lexus and Toyota don't believe in "planned obsolescence".
i drove over 20 years Audi but they went worse and worse with every model. My RX450H is now 12 with 311000km on it. AC hose as well as exhaust has a leak now and repair is´nt cheap but imagine that akku after all these years does a nice job offering still the same fuel consumption as ever and passed the Hybrid check again. The V6 is by far the best part of this car and i will never switch to one of these new 4cyl cry babies !

In the US and Canada it is considered an upper class "soccer mama" or a "I made it grandma" vehicle. It's typically shown as a non-ballsy, non-screaming vehicle and not for petrolheads. Which is where I come from - I absolutely love everything on wheels and guess what, I recently bought the RX350L. I sold my 2yro ram laramie truck and went to grab one of those. I just wanted to get that "lexus experience" and I have no regrets, I have a tesla model 3 as my daily but I find myself taking the RX on days when I'm really pissed, just to relax. It helps, believe me.
Went camping a few weeks ago. two coolers, and easy-up, a tent, sleeping bags, camp chairs, food bins, etc. Plenty of room. But not much room for anything else. All that required the back seats to be down.
Toyota’s commitment to “ if it ain’t broke don’t fix It “ is evidenced by the cruise control button and its location. It’s the same button ( apart from now including active cruise control) and in the same location at 5 pm on the steering wheel as in my 19990 LS 400. Have driven on the continent and the relaxed nature of this car makes many miles easy.
I have this in black with red leather, great great car. Economical, fast, luxury, smart tech. Roomy, lost of quality touches. Big sat nav. Around town I can hit 60mpg.. that’s as far as the graphs will display for quite a few miles.
