This albums lyrical content is surprisingly deep for a Yeat album. A lot of deep Yeat lore in here
Especially on shade
"Yore" if you will
especially if u know about his overdose during the alive era
agree so many people are hating but production and lyrics this is his best work yet, definitely something new and i appreciate him just making what he wants to
People are just disregarding the lyrics just because its Yeat, and not actually paying attention. Then later calling it mediocre is so crazy to me.
yeats always had some tracks where he really speaks about himself or others
yeah I always have been thinking about this and its crazy how people disregard everything cuz he mumbles and is silly sometimes songs like last day where he opens up about himself are so amazing to me@@kozukitonio740
i mean when these people realize the lyrics behind it, they will be amazed...its like hidden gem
RT
real
Yeat is that one kid who acts dumb but is smart and comes out of left field with the most profound statement and goes “but idk” and walks away
yeah I feel that, hes a generational troll and really funny. I always said that hes pretty smart but it gets dismissed cuz hes being silly often
the fact that he actually smart with gps higher than 3
Kinda like the based god.
I think the pattern of referring to himself as a CEO stands for Yeat embracing that change is in his own hands, and that he is responsible for making the decisions that impact his own vessel
This also makes sense with him referring to the building. He’s the CEO of his own building (himself)
This makes a lot of sense to me. I think you're onto something here 👍
hey jasper i hope u dont mind me putting this in an essay
@@blacktis3413Oh cool, yeah go ahead
33 minutes of extra commentary on a yeat album? Love this
This is genuinely my favorite album in along time. I truly feel entranced and learn something new every time I listen to it. People don’t understand it yet and that’s okay I genuinely think this is a beautiful body of work.
It reminds me of Lil Yachty’s album, but this EDM experiment was even more successful. It’s also even more impressive because it nailed these new sounds while still staying true to what makes Rage interesting. Truly impressive and important album.
@@Boogalyhuwtf you talking bout lol. This shit got nothing to do with yachty😂😂😂
@@cheeseballs9579wtf are you talking about😂 he’s saying this album makes him feel the same or similar as lil yachtys album which makes sense cause they are both synth heavy albums and bring something fresh to the genre. They are both wonderful albums
@@cheeseballs9579 What I said makes sense iykyk and you obviously don’t.
legit haven't enjoyed an album this much since 2022
great analysis bob! i’m glad other people are enjoying this album as much as me. i have a personal theory that Power Trip represents a literal drug trip, where the beginning is him sober, and as the production gets darker and more distorted it’s the withdrawals and demons coming back, until finally the outro is this euphoric spacey sound representing once he relapses.
That's crazy
I think it’s the exact same concept but with POWER. By this point he has already referred to himself as the “psycho CEO” this song is likely the power that caused him to go psycho. Bang on with the concept
Yeeep
alot of stuff on dis album gon go over peoples heads
Yeat said it best “it’s like tryna fit all that Porsche into a purse”
@@trendsettertarikI’ve said this line to so many of my friends who don’t get the album 💔
He already said it on Told Ya off Up 2 Me "You gotta listen to what I'm saying, I ain't screaming but I'm shouting"
@@trendsettertarik it finna take 5-10 years for people to realize how good this album is, kinda like how yeezus received its flowers in the past 2 years
exactly, everybody right now is so focused on how they want his old music back. I personally don't really see how he's going to top this album, but it will be very interesting to see where he goes with his music in the future. Maybe he'll take a break. @@dankbabayyyy

Very happy he’s fighting, didnt want him to pull a juice wrld and just give up

Really interesting concepts you’re throwing at us Bob, and that really got my mind running, so I’ll just share MY own interpolation of the albums closing tracks. I think the latter end of the album is actually about going back to the substances. He has already killed off the CEO, but because of the life he lives he’s bound to fall back into the addiction. This especially seems true on 1093, with the title alone being symbolic of him being stuck in his ways, or going back to the past. A couple lyrics from the song that really stuck this concept for me is “And I'm not even from this Earth, I can't stay
Yeah, I wish I could stay,” with him previously referring to living on the moon as being high, and that he’s not from this earth reinforces the idea he’s getting high again. And him “wishing he could stay” being him wishing he could stay sober. He also says “I could give you something so great
I could take it away
It's all inside of my hands
But it's all out of my control” which I interpolate as “Hey, these substances are so tangible, and right inside of my hand, I could just throw them away. But due to this stardom life I can’t escape them, and it’s all out of my control.” I think this could also tie into the cover of “2093” not being the happy, and sober future he dreamt of, but instead being a dystopian and drugged mess he’ll never really escape. But hey, that’s just how I see it. Overall a really thought provoking video Bob. Thank you for giving that much more depth to this album
Edit: On the track “Run They Mouth” yeat refers to “fiending for some dopamine,” which I think really solidifies this idea that he can’t stop it. On “if we being real” he also says “It's a couple things that I can feel, but I can't feel my face” which I think is obviously a drug reference. He also says “But I ain't into makin' change, I'ma stay the same” which could be about being caught up, and the fact that it’s already too late for him. Finally, while relistening to the outro track he also says “Don't it just feel right?
Don't you just feel good?
Better than you know you should
Even if it's for the night
You wish you could pause time and live this section your whole life” which I think is so obviously about his drug use, and as “Anonymous” says beneath this thread, the intro really feels like the drugs betraying, and or back stabbing yeat after finally achieving this sober state.
very interesting point. You know its a great album when people have different views and ways that interpret things
I really like the opening lines on 1093
"Are you in this shit for life? (All of ya)
I'Il back-stab you with a fuckin' knife (All of ya)"
Almost sounds like him being surrounded by the drugs and trying to fight them off, knowing that they could cause an addiction for the rest of his life (in his shit for life)
Love his aggressive delivery on these lines too
very interesting but I disagree very respectfully
@@Anonymous-hf8nxAlways thought it was directed at the CEO, but I like this idea a whole lot more tbh.
Cover & the AI vids portraying a dystopian mess and not a clean, futuristic, society if xyz meme pic (sobriety)- further pushing the idea that he failed.
Man it could all be yap but ts definitely fun and makes the album a better experience
The thumbnail 😂😂😂
you totally got it spot on. i got the gist of it and loved it before watching your reaction but after it seriously made me realize just how deep it actually is when you read between the lines and catch his direction. best reacter out
it's unfortunate that most people will miss the whole point too, they just want his older stuff back
Up 2 Me is so important to listen!!! Please do it’s a classic lots of ppl will love it
That's why you're the goat
Nobody else is doing this😂 bobs the goat
i love that ur loving this album
"Everything I said about that shit I didnt mean it" Is definitely sober him talking about his older music, where he would often brag about taking drugs etc. and now he realized that the drugs arent worth it and he didnt mean it that theyre that great (He has also talked about him regretting doing drugs earlier in his career but he bragged about them way more in general)
good point. It'll be very interesting to see how to progresses his music in the future. I honestly think it'll be hard for him to top this album at this point. I also can't really see him going back to his old music like everyone is hoping, but I wonder what he'll do next
yeah I agree, but I think he will be able to do it. The whole point of yeat has always been the way he kept evolving and he said that a lot in his older music too. I dont think he will ever get stale with it or go back, i think he can always keep evolving. Even his old music I wouldnt classify as one single style, he always has a lot of variety and excels at the various things he does with his vocals/cadence/flows I dont think he will be struggling anytime soon. This project really is hard to top its growing on me with every relisten, might actually be my favorite@@osnowdeal
That’s a amazing point wow, love that
im boutta ultimate yap but its fax dont believe everything you see gang i know he fits his image and his music is hard but dont really belive the drugs, its all an image, take atleast 1-3 hours to make and thats locking in, like knowing what you finna do and the plan to execute, you can't do all that shit on drugs... its rap cap bro... maybe he tryed the drugs he rapps about 1x but theres no way hes actually on the drugs he talks about, it would effect his craft too much and yeat its constantly putting out music meaning he is always locked in and can't be on drugs like that, he is smoking cigz cuz its the closest thing to looking rebel drugs image, can't do it with alcahol cuz his image is drinking lean, so he smokes cigartetes and makes ppl think hes sober from drugs and only smoking cigz when in realikty he was never off the drugs like that
@@realbosstakea the molly he was taking let him lock in all night back when he was a nobody. Idk if he was like that when he started gaining traction but before he popped off he was def a drug abuser it gave him his foundation.
You are the best Music reviewer on RUclips. I've never seen someone analyze so well
I hope this video and your page in general blows up, you deserve it. You really have a understanding for music and have an appreciation for art.
i already love this vid based off the thumbnail 😭😭 love ya bob, 2093 is so good and youre one of the few who really seem to get it
26:53 "everything I said about that shit I didn't mean it." *I feel like that was sober Yeat talking to his fans or possibly himself, saying drugs aren't cool, like he made them out to be in the past.*
Yeat posted something on his story where he had a bunch of typos it seemed like he relapsed, this album took way longer than anyone expected, I wonder if he relapsed multiple times and he didn’t want to put out the album until he fulfilled its purpose and it gave him motivation
cook
14:38 from what I understand, he means the Studio when hes talking about goin to "the building", his psycho mind says that he could’ve never done that sober
Yeah.
Alive's Sleeptaking:
"I ain't go to sleep in so many damn days
I think I'm sleepwalking
I been in the stu' for so many days
I think I'm sleeptalking"
2093's Team ceo:
"Way too many X pills, yeah, for one album"
Previous, Afterlyfe's 7 nightz:
"I just been geeked up, bitch, uh
Think it's been around seven nights straight (Straight)"
Incredible content as always Bob.
Bob i just wanna say you're the best music reviewer on this platform and i love listening to your perspectives on the music that i like. Thank you for these videos 👍🏽
W tinfoil hat 😂
"Could you come inside the building all night" represents the studio
Alive's Sleeptalking:
"I ain't go to sleep in so many damn days
I think I'm sleepwalking
I been in the stu' for so many days
I think I'm sleeptalking"
Alive's 2 UP:
"I’ve been on molly for weeks
Yeah, only way I know is up, yeah (Uh, uh)
Let's go, pull up, she suck it, she eat
'Bout to get high, 'bout to geek (Let's go)
I’m in the stu' off a Addy (Too up)
I ain’t been around in a week
Bout to take a Perc', I ain’t sleep (Yeah)
Only like a bitch off the X (X)"
His come up & his previous work was extremely drug fueled. Ecstasy, opioids, adderall. A part of him, which you reference in your analysis, thinks it's the drugs and the "psycho mind" that made him succeed.
He used to be geeked out of his mind making music in the studio for multiple days straight- he was making over 200 songs per month. Up to 20 a day. He talks about some of that and hints at how crucial drugs are in his creative proccess in the Our Generation Music interview he did if you want to check that out.
So, "Could you come inside the building all night"
Under the "fighting with himself, internal struggle concept" is asking if a sober yeat could have done that? Would he have made it and would he have blown up if he was sober?
What he says in 2093's Team ceo is revealing:
"Way too many X pills, yeah, for one album"
Previous, Afterlyfe's 7 nightz:
"I just been geeked up, bitch, uh
Think it's been around seven nights straight (Straight)"
(Geeked, booted up - on ecstasy)
So that's that and overall, i love the analysis but obviously don't know if you've hit on everything, but i'm 100% sure you've hit on a lot. His struggle with addiction has been a theme in every album he's made. "Alive" was made after an overdose (having died once he talks about every other song)
I think you should give Yeat's Up 2 Me a listen. Besides being IMO the best rage rap album of all time and having the best adlibs / background vocal work in rap of all time in general- it portrays a pretty clear struggle with addiction. And it's "psycho ceo" at his peak, that being yeat at his most hungry for success in his ecstasy fueled braggadocious delivery.
Up 2 Me's Lying 4 Fun:
"I'm on these drugs, my whole Life"
Up 2 Me's Morning Mudd:
"I just woke up in the morning, I got mud in my cup,
At least I woke up today"
Up 2 Me's Let Ya Know:
"This could be my last song, ho
It feel like I'm dying on that X, ho
Yeah, I be taking Percs just for my head, ho"
a look at the very final lines (Lying 4 Fun):
"just be taking these Percs, hunnid milligrams, I feel like Walking Dead zombie
Yeah, I can tell, I don't know you, but I feel you
Every time I take a Perc, it feel familiar
Every time I took a step back, I got closer
Every time I was on the edge, I jumped over"
yeah Ive always thought about this, he always talked about real shit in his songs but was always dismissed cuz he blew up on tiktok for a bell and mumbles a lot. Plus I think him having such insane sonic stylings makes it hard to follow lyrics. A big chunk of the old lyrics were also just fun and silly so people didnt look into them for that reason too I feel like.
Listen to hard 2 miss he talks about some of these ideas,
“the worlds seen too many goated rappers drop dead that’s fed, cant be another one of them so ima go up instead, (highhhh)
But I’m worried if I go up it’ll only get worse
More money coming in means more perks”
I believe there are a few other lines in there too, a few other songs cover it pretty well too, like died before, fake luv, every typa bad and a few othera
This is such a good video and made me appreciate the album even more
That thumbnail going down in the hall of fame
This album was definitely worth the long awaited arrival i love everything about it from the lyrics to the beats and production. I could argue this is yeats best projecthes ever released ❤
love this analysis man
When he says. “You a schizophrenic, I realized it's nine of ya” the lines above this all end with the word “ya” and there’s 9 lines. but each line says something. Look into it 👀
That schizophrenic bar on the last song I don’t think is a mistake. It’s very purposeful
woah
damn over 3 hours of yeat content in the same week. thank you man
Haven’t listened to this album or much of yeat but seeing bob having fun with an album is a joy
There is also this concept with his masks where the masks. When he wears a mask its more of the drug yeat but when he has it off its the CEO. But then you see him with it half on sometimes. So like i view all of them of not having a right mindset cause its like they are each fighting for dominance over yeats body. And yeat also has said he has alter egos. You can see him talk about demonic things but then in that same song talk about how there is things beyond him and to see the world as it truly is. So i feel like this yeat while being "demonic" is trying to warn or tell us not to be like him but covering it up at the same time so "Lyfestyle corp" or the "CEO" doesn't notice. Idk smth i been thinking about.
(edit) I like how you say the pshyco CEO ia the non sober mind and the CEO is sober yeat, i think ill ride with that.
Amazing Explanation
Great breakdown🔥
Another thing to consider is that the concept of 2093 seems to directly reference the movie Mr. Nobody, which takes place in 2092. I think Yeat made a reference to this movie and the similarity between 2092 and 2093 on social media but I'm not 100% sure. I think its interesting because the movie is about an old man reflecting on his life and what could've been, which could reflect how Yeat is similarly reflecting on his life choices in his current struggle.
Bob is tapped innn 🤞
I love when albums have a theme storyline to em, and especially since this is Yeat we’re discussing that’s even better😂
this album is pretty deep. definitely better than tpab
Thats a wild comparison I fw it tho
saw the thumbnail and i knew this shit was about to be good
19:26 I think it's Yeat's sober self telling his addiction demon that "he can see between the lines you said you wouldn't do" probably like telling himself he can use without fully relapsing and falling into addiction. But every time he fails. Then "I heard planes fly until they never do" possibly meaning he knows if he continues with his addiction he'll eventually die (crash)
let's go bob ❤
lol the thumbnail
ur explaing make me like the album even more
This is amazing
Love this
i feel so many people are dismissing it lyrically only because its yeat. he’s actually getting into interesting themes and it fits really well w the insane production that we also havent heard from him before
the transmissions from the future are truly taking over his mind
Bob have you ever thought of doing a top 10 albums that you’ve listened to so far that hit you the most emotionally? I’d be really curious to hear which ones meant the most to you.

So thankful for discussions like this , sometimes i feel like a idiot explaining to people that yeat is actually saying some shit haha
The “building” and “job” are referring to being in the studio 24/7 in my opinion
The thumbnail is absolutely bonkers!
great interpetations, people will disregard it because it's yeat but it's clear he was saying something deeper than the surface on this album . thank you!

I hope you take the same time with BlankFace its such an interesting album when you really break it down closer.
I literally subbed right before you said you gained a whole lot of subs after that tin hat joke lol.
Damn I never picked up on any of this while listening. Really interesting.
I love this album. I had the same/very similar thoughts on my first listen.
this video is longer than the additional thoughts on Mr Morale
and this isn't even the additional thoughts video
The way I see the album the Psycho Ceo represents yeat and how he rose to fame and money all while living this drug and fame fueled lifestyle. Bought the world is yeat reaching the top of the mountain, so much wealth he literally bought earth lol, but then on the next song nothing change we see how teaching this level of success and wealth has changed nothing and the psycho ceo is still hungrier for new highs. I really loved this album and it’s themes a very breezy 70 min album. Thanks for the great content pop!!
dude u gotta listen to his first album Alive, would be a great reaction
Yessirr
And they said Yeat wasn’t lyrical
3:40 the static on vocals definitely implies this
I had the same thought. I want to listen through the album again and pay specific attention to what's said under the static. I have a hunch it'll conform to some single theme, or at least show some sort of connective tissue. If that's right, I imagine there are 8 other quote-unquote characters to be found, Static Yeat being the easiest to differentiate auditorily.
Damn we actually got yeat lore
a thumbnail for the ages
The tinfoil hat needs to be an ongoing series
Unrelated to the video but … I know you’re already stacked up on reaction “to-dos” but I think an aesop rock reaction would be awesome. Labor Days is a great place to start.
krazy..
Hey Bob if u take album suggestions I would really like to se u do a breakdown of a rapper called Jev. The Color Grey. Album
Keep up ur good work :)
14:40 in the past on multiple tracks yeat has talked about how he used to always lie about his money when in reality he was working a 9-5 job which to me makes the most sense for this verse given context. (Edit) : I know this doesnt really go along with the album storyline but lyfestyle is also a collaborative song featuring Lil Wayne. This is also similarly shown with the future feature later in the album where yeat kinda goes away from the story during these songs to just provide and deliver a catchy song that fans of lil wayne and future would enjoy.
Did you listen to the pt 2 yet? There’s two extra tracks
I love this video, I wish more people were talking about the story of this album, but it’s understandable why they aren’t bc Yeat fans don’t really care about lyrics.
das crazy
in istigram his lyfestyle corpration account has videos of how the world 2093 is like
its just ai vids to buidl hype for album
Run they mouth is mostly an autumn! (Rapper) Diss track, idk if it has a lot to do with the theme of the album
Id say its more of a septembersrich diss no? Cuz autumn shouted yeat out in either gc3 or midnight club so id imagine they atleast cool again
@@profkoala i mean he straight Up made fun of that midnight club shout out later in the chorus
+ "I go Up in every season even in the fall"
@@Glockkie hm idk if that was a diss i thought that was more of just a bar because falling is the opposite of going up u feel me
@@profkoala could be double entanta or whatever they call it, where a bar has like 2-4 meanings
Bob I'll glad if you listen to MIKE - Burning desire!, im.sure you'll like it!!
Yall see the interview of yeat saying aliens came to him when he was 11, there was a lot of references to aliens and wanting to go to another planet and asking where he’s from in the album
Hey Bob, I think you should react to some Lil Ugly Mane. Maybe Mista Thug Isolation or Uneven Compromise. Both are essential

Havent watched the vid yet but on 1 song yeat says " i made every god cry " and in your reaction vid u said u didnt get that line, i think that was the demon(drugs) talking to yeat saying that they will get him too just like everybody else, because yeat refers to himself as a god later on
