Nice fish room, including the personal touch of posters and stickers! I especially enjoyed the livebearers; that pineapple king lyretail sword is a stunner! 😍Thanks for sharing.
Fabulous hobby keep up the awesome work you are preservation of some of these magnificent fish. I hope you put out a video on your fish room once a month. I would love to have a couple of pairs of swords . Words can't say enough about these fish. I wanted to Thank you so very much and appreciate the time you spent sharing with all of us in the fish community. Bravo 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏
I was lucky enough to grow up right down the street from John Nieman and spent many Saturdays in his fish room. He always sent me home with amazing fish to breed, the knowledge was off the charts. I will always be grateful to John, he actually gave me my first breeding pair of Discus. Now I have 35 tanks and still breeding fish, my passion is still breeding Discus and spend my days growing and breeding wilds to this day. Great video, really brought me back to the late 80's and early 90' in Ventura California. Dan I bought your Albino Manacapuru that I bred with an F1 Manacapuru and your "Pantanal" Sterbai which are showing breeding behavior as of last week, thank you. Steve Heller
I have actually collected those sapphires. I brought them to USA (maybe for the first time imported) and sent them to Master breeder Peter Durkin. when they started to show flaking on their bodies he thought that they are breaking out with disease. In the lake they are not showing full color until they are really big. Most collected fish were young. Very deep too 60 ft and deeper. Females are hard to find. Only one time I have found all males in 10ft depth in 5 inch and full color. I assume that they are no longer collected because they are plentiful in hobby now..
@Dans Fish Excited to meet you at the Keystone Clash this year. Ill be their vending with my brother at the Mike's Bulgarian Green table. I'll be bringing kali tawa juveniles, mairasi juveniles, kamaka juveniles. All of my tawa spawns have been 75% males 25% female approx. I've had about 8 spawns in the past year. At first I though the larger male fish were eating the females but I usually still end up with 150+ fry per hatch.
I'd really be interested in a group of those Montezumae if Scott wanted to sell and you want to ship them to Toronto Dan. I'll send a message on the website
Awesome fish room! I love how excited Dan still gets over fish. He still truly loves this hobby, even though it's his job.

Nice fish and fishroom Scotty, thanks for sharing. What is your RUclips channel & website? Did some searching but unsuccessful. Thanks again!
Where do y’all get California Blackworms in California? I know there was a place in Fresno but they stopped selling live blackworms. Thx 🙏
I'm not sure where Scottie sources his blackworms.
Nice

Nice!! I am jealous of his organization and collection! Go Livebearers!
Me too, sister...soooooo jelly!
I've just started breeding livebearers, full endlers, and Gambusia affinis! This room is very inspiring!! Thanks for sharing!
Gorgeous fish and amazing Fishroom! Love it ❤.
What was the name of that first livebearer yall showed
I believe it is Limia perugiae
I'm sure he's gotten this a million times, but Scotty looks a lot like Jason from Prime Time Aquatics lol
Amazing breeder
Another bald, bearded fish-keeper! We are the best species! lol Great video.
i had montezumas and all i ended up with from two pairs was 400+ females!
Oh damn that’s my club Vice President. I got some kali tawa from him. Super cool guy and room
Scottie is the best!
what was the banana worm trick? it cut out. something about it floating?
put it on a floating plant, like guppy grass
What @skipperscottie7417 said :)
That’s a great fish room, as I love rainbowfish. The plant at 15:57 looks like Rosette Sword, Echinodorus parviflorus.
Does anyone know the brand of box filter at 8:22 in the video?
its a marineland modified, im pretty sure they dont make them anymore but they are incredible
Not sure which brand it is, but it looks very similar to sponge filters I've received from Jehmco.com.
Awesome and great fish room thanks for sharing 🔥✌️💗👍💯
Wonderful, does he ship?? or will he sell to you?
Scottie doesn't ship. It remains to be seen if I will be able to source any from him, but I sure hope so!
@@DansFish ok darn, maybe someone else in that fish club can ship for him???
I hope so too, I’m a little obsessed with those Limia perugiae! 😂
@@MelodieRose727 ok me 2!

They are spectacular! I'm hoping to be able to source some fish from Scottie one of these days.
I want a king sword
Thats what I'm waiting for is lyretail swords. I have some but would like some new blood. My understanding of Kings is the functional gonapodium.
