    I've noticed angelfish aren'y always the most friendly with each other. They can be aggressive as you know. I kept them for twenty years. Honsetly, it was stressful for me at times. Silly but true! lol

    • @Kirks_Aquariums
      @Kirks_Aquariums  Год назад +1

      They can be picky towards each other, ive found turning the heat down anx reduced feeding helps stop them beinv in breeding mode 24/7 which brings the aggression down. Will never not love Angelfish they are Majestic

    Do you worry about any shells left in the brine shrimp?

    • @Kirks_Aquariums
      @Kirks_Aquariums  Год назад

      Not particularly, ideally you want as little as possible of egg shell as it can cause blockages in small fry if they eat alot of it ive found

    Love the videos. Tanks all look great. I would double check that breeding pair of angelfish you showed in with rainbows...I think they are gold marbles... their dorsal fins give it away.

    Loving the weekly vids mate :) what brand / name paint did you use for your fry trays?

    • @Kirks_Aquariums
      @Kirks_Aquariums  Год назад +1

      Thank you, i have only used “dy-mark” water based acrylic paint.
      Low toxic and seems to work fine for me.

    Nice job, as usual! Which Cory (Dups or Adoplh's) are more expensive in the marketplace?

    • @Kirks_Aquariums
      @Kirks_Aquariums  Год назад

      The Dups are more expensive from what ive seen online compared to Adolfs

  • @TheTaipan
    @TheTaipan Год назад

    doo-ple-car-e-us, the only way to tell is the pectoral fins. But its super hard to tell. The Adolfoi do not have the serration on their pec fins (like a steak knife). On "some" Duplicareus the orange flash extends a little further and supposedly fades as they age though i've never seen that myself. I had thought we only had Adolfoi's here. Paul may know more :) :)

    It's my understanding that the Phillipine Blue angelfish is reference to the blue gene. So the blue zebras are the standard angels with the Philippine blue gene.

    • @Kirks_Aquariums
      @Kirks_Aquariums  Год назад

      Yeah i too have been told that but then been told other things and ive seen the tight black lines are philipine blue.

    Just a heads-up. I would suspect your "l397s" are a "mixed bag" the one to the right in the video looks correct but the one to the left with spots on tailfin looks like some other panaqolus to me. Keep in mind I am far from an expert but never saw one with such pattern. Would provably round them up for photos and consult planet catfish. Important since they can likely crossbreed if they are indeed different types. Awesome fishroom.

    peppermints prefer the round or D shaped caves. Try getting some of the those versions of the ezy caves.
