Oh please, please please find another lovely place to sing it in and record it. Reading your jolly book, I keep wanting to hear how you do it. For most of my life I was an 18th century reenactor and it was one of my many songs (Have you ever heard "Oyster Nan"? It's a rollicking good tavern song "Cuckoo's Nest" -- 2 great versions and "Follow me down to Carlow" which odder folk sing as "Follow me up..." but that's odd people for you). Listening to you write about it is frustrating. Maybe you should record your book with poem and song intervals? Thank you for the book. Thank you.
Sublime rendition

Excellent work.
Nothing beats a good old cave
