Thanks Chris! A pleasure to share. The best part for me was arriving after 2 weeks walking, on a journey in winter that we started with no money, and were violently sick on days 1-3from drinking badly filtered holy well water from the ancient cathedral crypt at Winchester. We made it here, the caretaker agreed to hold the phone, and we got to offer this song of death and life - it's a very ancient Irish melody, and a theme that is probably as old as anything - to this vast crowd of the dead. It was the biggest concert I've ever done!
Good song, well sung. Puts me in mind of the man I first heard sing it, old Harry Mousdell, gone but not forgotten.
Gorgeous. Found this through "Between the Chalk and the Sea"
That is sublime! Thank you!
It is a lovely song, and it was a wonderful moment and place to sing it...
Just want to say thank you

Love it. Thank you for adding this here. I first heard it on your Facebook page.
Really enjoy your songs Will, sung with such meaning.
Thanks Steven and Jayne! Mixing songs with journeys makes both come alive in really exciting ways, I find.
All the best - stay well!
First time I've heard this song, what a powerful song, I shall treasure this and try to learn it.
I sang this at my mum's funeral. It's a strong song indeed. x

This is Will (on the right) with a chap called Guy (on the left). He's an ex-opera singer, hence the style...
