Been listening to The King’s Singers more than 30 years. Many men have passed through the group, but the sound and perfection remains as brilliant as ever.

Ich Falle auf meine Knie. Das ist das Beste, was ich von einer solchen Formation je gehört habe. Und ich habe schon sehr viele gehört und live gesehen. Absolute Weltklasse und nicht zu toppen.
The Kings singers gave me my love for accapella music years ago while I was in high school. It’s wonderful to hear the tradition continues ❤ Thanks for sharing! 🎶🎵🎶🎵
My mother and her siblings used to sing like that. Unfortunately, they have all passed away and I miss their beautiful voices every day. I especially remember my grandmother's funeral when they all stood by her coffin and song so beautifully. I was eight years old, and I started crying because of the incredible song. It was like being in heaven.
This is an example of perfection in homogeneity - watching the video it was impossible to tell who was singing which voice - simply stunning, thank you all.
Sorry to burst your bubble, but - it's pre-recorded audio layered over a separate video. Same voices, probably same space, and fantastic... But the audio was recorded with each singer mic'ed up.
ISTM that the emotion is there. It’s in the text. There is almost a chant effect, the emphasis on the text allows the listener to hear the emotions proper to themself.
Thank you again. This is my comfort song especially today since I have lost a brother three years younger than me. I am in tears as I write this but am consoled by the beauty of this song and singing.
I send my condolences to you and am glad that this song brings you some feeling of consolation through your tears. I hope you have folk around you to support you through your grief.
This is a particularly beautiful combination of voices (2 countertenors, 1 tenor, 2 Baritones and one Bass) and over all this time they’ve changed personnel frequently but never changed this combination of voices. It’s a really unique sound. This version of the song is better than the recorded version, one iteration of personnel ago, so they do keep changing things up. It’s the dynamics. I’d advise anyone to check these guys out. They were my gateway to opera...
Music is one of the pinnacles of human existence. I think it is when we are closest to the Divine. When deaf and blind folks are interviewed, they always say the gift of sound is the sense they miss the most.
