    Some say love, it is a river

    Some say love, it is a hunger
    An endless aching need

      This is a particularly beautiful combination of voices (2 countertenors, 1 tenor, 2 Baritones and one Bass) and over all this time they’ve changed personnel frequently but never changed this combination of voices. It’s a really unique sound. This version of the song is better than the recorded version, one iteration of personnel ago, so they do keep changing things up. It’s the dynamics. I’d advise anyone to check these guys out. They were my gateway to opera...

      @MrJdsenior 4 года назад +6

      @@mylesgarcia4625 According to you, and obviously you are entitled to your opinion. Most of the world would likely disagree. That's the way they have always sung it, go look up how many albums and CDs they have made (63) the amount they've sold over the life of the group, and the awards they have won, including a Grammy. They have also performed at venues all over the world with top performers and 'solo' for decades. Just because it doesn't suite your taste does not mean it 'should be' some other way. Just sayin'. I think some of the best current a Capella groups out there are pretty tight, as well, like Home Free and Pentatonix...very different music, very different arrangements and styles, but would you call them less disciplined and looser. In terms of their presentation, almost certainly, but the music itself is seriously TIGHT. DIfferent groups, DEFINITELY different audiences, (for the most part) different music performed differently....kinda what the world is all about.

    This is what you get when you mix the ability to pay musicians with the prestige of a known brand. Every single one of these singers is "the pick of the litter", just imagine six cattle call auditions with hundreds of ultra talented singers - these were the winners. Hyper-talented, hyper-intelligent (musically for sure, generally more than likely), nearly perfect, lifelong ensemble singers. We're making the best music there ever has been with today's musicians.

    This is Amazing Thank You, but I remember Singing this during my Senior year of HS aka Grad of ‘21. Which this Song has touched my Heart a lot, especially during 2nd Semester it hit really Hard on me. But I took this Song well this very Recording and made it my own. I sung every night while my own Grandfather was Sick, we found out that my Cousins and my Grandparents had Covid on Christmas Eve. But then later Died in Piece on unfortunately my Grandmothers 71st Birthday. I love my PawPaw so much I was so Sad I wouldn’t talk the day he died but I was so Happy that he didn’t have to Suffer God put his time in when he wanted it to. But I took these Lyrics as Love being so Strong but Precious not to Break it with that Certain Somebody in your Life while it is so Beautiful to not Risk the Chances you got be Blessed that you even have the Opportunity to have it. That’s my Input about it, but anyways Love this Piece it has definitely helped Grieving. Thanks

Oh by the way Janis Joplin wrote this song back in the sixties,it was Bette Midler that made it popular.
