Greet Louisiana from me...I still miss the Deep South and think of America often. When I was a teenager I'd spent some joyful stage time as a folksinger...an older friend had gifted me the first volume of five from scholar and folklorist James Francis Child: Songs and Ballads from England, Ireland and Scotland. I was enraptured. There's something of substance to the music which travels over time and great distance. Child was clever-- he'd supposed that there would be survivals of old melodies and lyrics transported to the New World along with the emigrants, music which had perhaps drifted away in the original lands. Child recorded (in the 1800s, with pen and paper rather than electronic device) the offerings from folks throughout the Appalachians on down into the South. And the books with his music and lyrics are available in America from Dover press, I believe. So if you love the culture you share with Scotland of long ago, know that it's there in the new land for you to enjoy. And continue the tradition. Learn some songs and sing them as you go along-- in the garden, along the street. No need to tap an Ap, voices were made to be used...and it might catch on!

@@MaryDougherty-ge3mh Thank you si much for your kind words! I never visited Scotland or Ireland... however, I try to learn all about Scotland, specially History and the most important places to visit... but by my accounts, to visit all I want... well, I think 3 months are enough! The Highlands have a specially meaning to me and Glencoe (the pics and videos make that my first choice to visit). Pipes are very common, here in the North of Portugal, we do have in music schools, pipes learning... so when I hear a pioe playing there's something in my heart that drive me to an old castle near a lock! It's something magical. My great great grang mother had no studies, and lived in a village not very far, nowadays, from my wonderfull city of Porto... she wasxa very catholic woman but she was very respected in the village by the way she could treated people in a lot of health problems... she had a great knowledge about all the roots, herbs, mushrooms and sap from different trees! She them, make with all those ingredients several sorts of mixtures that would help, all natural, people in several health issues... we, in tge family, don't know how and why she learn all that! And almost 2 centuries ago is even more difficulty to understand it... she was often called "sorceress of the woods" and for me she was a kind of one of the celtic sorceress in Scotland and Ireland. Make us wonderingvfrom where our roots began and in which place!

I never understood before how people are just so nice in comments until I started to get the urge to share this warm feeling inside of me with others. Whoever you are, wherever you are, we heal. And everything is here because we exist. As a person who both scared to lose my existence and exists I never truly thought about life, anxiety would stop me. But sometimes we just know, that how scary it wouldn’t be, it is only the present that matters, and all the memories and future events we carry. We are now and time is none existing. Go beyond the human boundaries and accept you already being the universe. You are happy and you are healed you just need to realize it. All my love and support, cuddles and warm tea with cinnamon or honey if you like it
Being Scottish and lrish well....love the music. It strikes a very personal cord in me and l can't deny how strong that is. When l was just five years old there was a dance competition at my school and the lady there asked my mother if l could enter it. All the other kids were 12 or older but reluctantly she said yes. The dance was called the highland fling. When the music started my arm went up in a arc and my feet had a mild of their own. When the music stopped a roar came from the crowd. All the girls were 12 and older. I was 5 and won the contest. Moral of this story is the blood is strong. Years later l asked my mother what my ancestry was: Scottish and lrish. No surprise we both had reddish brown hair. The blood never lies. Moral of this story: whether the sun touches your hair or your feet start to move the blood will never be denied.
My mothers home and I want to go there and be there when my time comes but it is just not feasible so I will just remember the time I spent there and be absorbed by this beautiful scenery and the music from heaven
Let's agree that music itself has the power to heal. It was the explosive manifestation of humanity. That is something we are all touched by. No matter what culture we come from, everyone loves music.
HERZLICHEN ♥️🙏🏽 DANK Kerstin Susanne Anneliese 💕👏🏽✨🍀😇💞

My dear husband has been enjoying these Celtic music and seeing Ray, but he’s English, so he was happy to see some. England included here… It should be a films of the British Isles. Yeah that’s right…❤🎉😊
We the British owe Ireland so much more than can be ever said but to start SORRY,for the way the English politicians treated you during the potato famine.
My father loved the bagpipes and so do I even though I have no heritage involving Irish or Scottish background. The music and views of the land pull so strongly at my heart strings as though it's where I should belong or have been there at some point throughout time
I feel the same way about Scotland.❤, but I also have Irish and Welch and would love to explore there as well…I’m 74, guess I’d better hurry up…if not, i send heartfelt thanks for your outstanding videos !!!! A very proud Murray and MacLennan from Nova Scotia and Hughes from PEI!

Now I long to travel to these beautiful countries and breathe in where my soul yearns to be.

Glorious tunes and land of such magnificence. From this Gaelic man to all of my folk, may God smile upon you as he has upon the divinely beautiful places we hold so dear.
Of both places I would rather visit Scotland, that's where my Daddies ancestors were raised. I feel a deep connection to Scotland. Although I know that the Scottish came out of Ireland I would like to visit both but at 72 years of age I believe it's almost impossible to do with my medical conditions, but never say never. 😊
carlfarris.....the scots never came out of ireland. that's a fabricated tale copied from the bible similar to the israelites by medieval irish monks to create an history for ireland .
Scotland is beautiful with a primitive look in the country side. Wild heather grows on the hills. People are friendly and the food is good, especially their Lamb stew and Salmon. Hope you visit bc you won’t regret it.

Even after millennia, my heritage endures in historical records to Scottish and Irish ADN ancestry. I hold a deep affection for the music, landscapes, and traditions. Moreover I treasure my great-grandfather's bagpipe, a tangible link to our familial past in the North-east of Portugal, nestled amidst the mountains and rivers of North Atlantic lands, were we encounter a parallel world, where time-honored customs linger, echoing those of Celtics roots. Time didn't take it away, it only turned it into something better!

❤❤❤❤❤❤WOW THE MUSIC IS BEAUTIFUL AND THE SCENERY IS ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS AND AMAZING❤❤❤❤❤❤ IM IRSH AND LOVE IT. BROUGHT FEARS TO MY EYES, BUT GOOD TEARS
I miss Scotland so badly sometimes. Had an exchange programme there many years ago and it was one of the best times of my life.
Nowhere nice anymore due to the surreal pandemic and on and on
Very nice country
Amazing Grace by David Arnold made me fall in love with bagpipes and Celtic, Irish, Scottish music. 😄
What a beautiful message. My heart is with yours!
I'm English but love music from all over the world. It brings us all together in a world that wants to drive us apart.
It creates memories that last a lifetime.

I've been to Scotland and it's the most beautiful beautiful place in the world 🌎
I never understood before how people are just so nice in comments until I started to get the urge to share this warm feeling inside of me with others. All my love and support, cuddles and warm tea with cinnamon or honey if you like it
Thank you Love 😘

Superb selection of music and scenery, thank you for sharing ❤.
😍❤ Ire really must be an holy place on earth
We all are receiving a beautiful blessing from your post. Sending gratitude and our Lord's blessings to YOU
The Pipes, the Voices, and the Drums in Amazing Grace bring tears to the eyes and joy to the heart!
😌❤️🏴❤️🔥 ich liebe Schottland... wenn ich könnte, würde ich dort auswandern...traumhafte Gegend... mystisch und kraftvoll
The echoes of the bagpipes sure play well to the surrounds.. A majestic score to majestic scenery. Sounds nice in folk dance accompaniment too
Let's agree that music itself has the power to heal. It was the explosive manifestation of humanity. That is something we are all touched by. No matter what culture we come from, everyone loves music.
I finished watching Braveheart for the second time today, so I'm here now. Thanks for helping me sleep tonight
HERZLICHEN ♥️🙏🏽 DANK

Absolutely beautiful! Felt my ancestors close to me in my heart. Thank you from Long Island New York!
Enchanting green country that generates sensory music; all hearts cry or laugh and often legs start to dance on their own
My dear husband has been enjoying these Celtic music and seeing Ray, but he’s English, so he was happy to see some. England included here… It should be a films of the British Isles. Yeah that’s right…❤🎉😊
We the British owe Ireland so much more than can be ever said but to start SORRY,for the way the English politicians treated you during the potato famine.
Ireland isnt a British Isle
My father loved the bagpipes and so do I even though I have no heritage involving Irish or Scottish background. The music and views of the land pull so strongly at my heart strings as though it's where I should belong or have been there at some point throughout time
Amazing music. Thank you for posting! Makes my work day just that much sweeter.
They have an amazing video of just Wales too. It’s so breathtaking ❤ I am of Welsh Descent. Not sure what else. Maybe Irish and English but that’s not confirmed
Same here at 73. I will have to be content to travel vicariously 😊🎉❤
Definitely Murray is Irish. I read about the Murray's family. Your Roots are from Ireland sir
Our Murray family have been in Scotland forever! Relatives then came to Nova Scotia in 1801. Also Google the Murray Castle in Scotland…Blair of Atholl…again there forever!

This music and magnificent beauty of these countries have always touched me to the depth of my soul. I never understood how I was always drawn to Ireland, Scotland, and Wales until my dna test arrived. Combined, I’m 75 percent Irish, Scottish, Welch. Now I long to travel to these beautiful countries and breathe in where my soul yearns to be.

Hope you make it to both countries Carl, both equally as beautiful and both people warm and friendly ❤ from Scotland 🏴
@carlfarris.........the scots never came out of ireland. that's a tale created by irish monks to create an ancient lineage to the bible.
