Most of my ancestors are from Ireland, County Cork and County Kerry. The earliest generation to be born in America were my grandparents. My great grandfather came as a child to visit America with his parents but my great, great grandfather died at sea so he and my great, great grandmother stayed in America with relatives and never went back to Ireland. I will be visiting Ireland soon, my lifelong dream.
I´d love to visit those places plenty of histories and the music transport me to ancient times when things were so simples as nature. Become children again, see everything with eyes of wonder again and believe that everything is possible if we love the creation as a reflection of ourselves. I have always loved the Celtic music of Scotland and Ireland. I also have a great love for the landscapes of Scotland in particular the West Coast. This brings back memories of my last trip to Scotland in 2019 with my wife. We travelled up the West Coast staying at Plockton and Ullapool. It was our last holiday together as she passed away from this world in May 2021. This brings back all those memories.... and it brings the tears.
So sorry for you. I too have a sad loss, my son 2021. The family came over from Australia and we took his ashes to Isle of Mull, in September to scatter him to the winds there. Scotland is very beautiful indeed.

I grew up hearing my Grandparents thick Irish brogue, and listening to the stories of where they came from which was Ennis, County Clare. I absolutely love my Irish background. I am also French Canadian on my dad’s side and embrace that also.
Arizona native, but of strong Irish & Scottish heritage, at least 2/3 of my family line. Hearing the music and seeing the scenery touches a chord that makes me feel at peace and closer to home. While I've never set foot there, this helps me feel as though I'm there in person.
