Bobby, great vid but I disagree over the ride comments. I had 2 glc,s and I prefer the ride of the glb. That being said,there was very little difference between the two.

I think from the 5008 to this is a downgrade in terms of available space and practicality. But in terms of technology, interior fit and finish and of course the brand logo, it's an upgrade. But I reckon you won't feel that big of an upgrade as opposed to going into, let's say a CX9 or a pre own XC90

Cannot be compared. This GLB rides like a B segment car in terms of refinement. Sound proofing is very ok but the ride is busy .... Basically like a B segment.

Personal opinion, how does the CX-5 compare?
CX5 is more spacious, better quality finish, better engine, better gearbox, better handling, better ride quality, better fit and finish, better seats, the only thing CX5 lose out is the Mercedes infotainment screens
I have a contrary view. I recently test drove both the CX-5 and GLB. CX-5 engine pickup, steering wheel setup and overall driving refinement does not match GLB’s. The infotainment and reverse camera in CX-5 needs major revamp. Of course CX-5 has better price point.

@@jbenz2681 one should not compare CX-8 with GLB. CX-8 has better space as it is more than a foot longer than GLB. GLB is 5+2 seater - good to have when you only occasionally need 7 seats. CX-8 can be used like a permanent 7 seater (hence should be compared with likes of Volvo XC90). GLB is more in competition with other 5+2 seaters e.g. BMW 216/218 Gran Tourer, Discovery Sport etc.
This rides better than my 2016 X5 so I'm at a loss as to your comfort experience.
If I would live in Asia, I would never opt for a Mercedes. They should change their slogan over there from "The best or nothing" to "Nothing of the best (intelligent safety features)". If you want a true premium car, get a Volvo: they value the lifes of their drivers. In Europe, most intelligent Mercedes safety features are standard.
I had two XC90s in a row. Love them. I think I made a whole lot of XC90 and Volvo videos.

Currently, I am driving my second Mercedes car, with intelligent safety features not offered in Asia. Used to have a Volvo in the past too.

Which one better GLB, Tiguan R-line or CX8?
I think bobby will go for CX8 based on his test drive video review. Now its the matter of utility or brand....your call.
CX8 is wayyyyy more refined than both in terms of interior build quality, ride and handling and NVH. Tiguan is also better than the GLB in every aspect just that interior design looks dated. Both Tiguan and CX8 is also more comfortable long distance.

A class platform should sell cheaper!
When you find out the price of this car you will look elsewhere.My humble advice is Mazda cx5,Toyota rav4,Subaru forester or Honda crv,all in top specs and trim and save yourselves a ton of money.
Definitely, even the CX5 and RAV4 etc all ride better and more refined road behaviour.
@@BobbyAngmalaysia Thanks for taking the time to reply Bobby.I drive a facelift 2016 cx5 2.2 diesel but i have placed an order for the Toyota RV4 hybrid 2.5 with 220 bhp top of the range lounge edition. It was close between the Mazda and Toyota but the looks of the RAV4 and the fact that it is a hybrid won it for me.Have subscribed to your channel and really like your reviews. Stay safe out there.
Manufacturers should properly label a crossovers as either a 5+2 or a 7 seater.

Bias review bro. I'm a X1 owner and also test drove the glb a few times. The glb drives better than X1 and not as jialat as you mentioned. Too many potholes in Malaysia ya?

This GLB is nothing other than selling the logo. Yes, you may say it gives you "things" but it should looking at its selling price. Not worth at all!

The importance is whether I delivered the review fairly for consumers. Because I don't do paid reviews. That's why the other advertiser's that has nothing to do with Mercedes Benz ensures you get a fair review.
I find a lot of car reviewer tends to give mercs a lot of credit for lousy design. The dashboard doesn't look like a proper dashboard. It's like just putting a huge smart phone on top and the center air vent with 3 huge rounded chrome. To me it is ugly. And every front design of a Merc looks the same with a dinner size plate emblem in front. And no car reviewer pointed that out. And their headlights is so huge compared to market trend now with slim design. Unlike BMW which is so innovative in their design but most car reviewers criticised like hell. I find current BMW with their latest kidney grille as innovative and forward looking. Merc is more clever in their marketing than BMW. BMW should bring in more models especially the new 1 series. Right now they only offer M135i. Latest there is a 128ti which BMW should offer for Malaysia market. Merc is more quick in introducing every model range to the Malaysian market. Other than that Merc is boring.
There's a difference between personal taste and good or bad design. I think you states it clearly as "you like" and "you prefer". To me, a beautiful design might not be a good design, but if it is beautiful, I cannot say it is not beautiful just because it isn't a good design.
