Got mine 2 months ago. ABSOLUTELY love the car. Space is amazing for families.
How does it drive ? I’m planning on getting one soon
Following up - how does it drive? Road noise? Comfortable? Not? TIA!
We took the GLB out for a test drive this past weekend. We also drove the Hyundai Palisade. Personally, I found the Palisade too big for me. I like the room, but I don’t feel comfortable driving huge SUVs. We also have an elderly parent living with us. So the height of the vehicle has to be taken into account. I think the GLB checked off all the items on my list. First, the car does not feel like a big SUV. Second, it’s the right height- you don’t have to climb into the car. Third, I have a short reach (not tall person) and not having to lean forward to access the touch screen was a big plus. MB offers (standard) a kind of mouse pad right were your right and rests. So I can access everything without having to move from my driving position at all. MB also offers like a Siri OS for the car. So you can do a lot of things via voice commands. Fourth, the 3rd row seat option means you don’t have to get into a larger SUV in order to get extra seating. I felt comfortable driving it and I though the handling and shift transitions were very smooth. I think MB did a great job with this vehicle and we’ll be leasing the GLB within the next couple of weeks
This is perfect for our family with two kids. With the few times a year the grandparents visit. 3rd row is great as the kids will slide back there when they visit. But 99% of the time the third row will be folded away. We shopped this against the 2020 highlander and this beat it as far as tech, materials and finish. Mini telluride...but wife didint want a kia so this was a great fit.
You guys are great, love the way you present in detail the vehicle that you’re showcasing. Keep up the great work guys!
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed!
Lots of details, very informative and interesting. Your videos are always enjoyable.
We appreciate it! 😀
You Guys are Hella-Cool !! . Great Review
My wife and I bought a GLB from James Motor Company back in May and it's an awesome car. No regrets and the staff was great!
Glad to hear it!
I actually bought one 7 days ago! So far, I love it which surprises me coming from a GMC Yukon. It's fun to drive and rides nice. Still trying to figure out all the different things on the screen but getting there! Learned a couple things on this review, thank you.
Barb Update us on how the car is going.
@@Chrissy_W Loving the car!!! Took a long weekend w the husband and were in the car about 10 hours total. It was comfortable and the seat kinetics really helped I think. Thank you for asking Chrissy!
@@barbkane9987 AWESOME news! I'm looking at getting one. What extras would you say are necessary? Does the car beep a warning at you when in reverse and something is in rear of car can't see? Trying to decide betwen the GLB and GLC.
@@Chrissy_W No, it doesn't beep when in reverse and you're getting close to something. I personally would rather if it did, I miss that. Options are such a personal decision, what may be important to me, you may not care. But I'm glad I have heated seats since I'm in the Northeast. The lane assist is something I never had but have found that I love that! I absolutely would never pay for a sun roof, I've had them and don't like them. The GLB is a tad bigger than the GLC w a lot more head room, so for my money, that's why I picked the GLB. Let us know what you get!! Good luck!
@@barbkane9987 Thanks so much for all your help! I'll keep you updated here. I have a 2015 Mercedes GLK350 which I love but it is a dinosaur when it comes to technology & safety features. I was hoping the camera had audible alerts. My husband has a Jeep Wrangler that has it and I love it for backup safety. I have the heated seats and steering wheel on my GLK. A must have in the NE. Thanks again!
Great Review pretty nice car
I like the styling, boxy with curves. Looks good!
great vid, guys! really looking forward to trying this one and the new GLA.
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed!
Unlike everyone else excited to see who saw it first, I'm here to say that once again, this is a very good review. Keep it up you guys!!!
We appreciate ya! 😀
Love the boxy shape and expansive space in the back. For us tall folks there’s much better headroom. The electronics are top of the line.
Great review. I appreciate the time you spent in the cockpit showing the instrument cluster and gear shifter. That has been missing in other reviews.
I love the boxy look of this model. Baby G wagon. The sliding back seat is great for family, too.
The one thing that is missing is an audible alert when in reverse and something gets picked up by a sensor. I will look to adding one after market, which is lame.
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed!
Howdy, great review as always! While this is a great car, I personally prefer the GLA.😸😻😸
Looks like a mini GLS. Saw one side by side, side profile and window lines same. But you need the options in, and that’s where I think the price on GLC out prices GLB.
I'm in love with this car.
Going to get it with all the bells and whistles in January when my current lease is up
The boxiness of it reminds me of the old GLK.
For the cost and what it offers, This Suv is a steal!.
Not gonna lie, the front end of this benz reminded me of a Telluride.
what is that
Krepaa KIA
@@joshama3362 thank you, no clue how I never heard of this model from KIA hahahahah
Hey Car Confections love the video and this channel. I'm thinking about getting this car, quick question though, how was the cabin noise as compared to the Glc (roughly) ?
Thanks! Well it's hard to say without driving them back to back, but I'd say a little worse. Not really significant but engine noise as well
I love the 2020 Mercedes GLB 250!!! It’s very sexy and sexy lol! It’s a great price too!!! I love Mercedes!! I can’t wait for the Electric Mercedes eqc!!!!
I love the body benz
Could u Pls compare glb & glc which are the same company? Normally, you make a comparison between different car manufacturers but this time pls make for mercedes vs mercedes cos these two are hard to choose.
This vehicle is not just a 'slide-in' between the A and C. It is quite a different beast, more like the older (to 2015) GLK 250 and 350. As to its functionality, I would buy it as an upgrade from, say, a Subaru Forester, and it has distinct size advantages over an Audi Q3 or VW Tiguan. The Lexus NX is nowhere near the GLB, except that it will come in a Plug-in really soon, something that is several years away for this model. Actually, the GLB has the Volvo XC40 as a comparator, and again, electric aside, the GLB comes out quite a ways ahead in terms of features and elegant design. Tricked out, the GLB will cost more than an Acura RDX, but again, I'd say well worth it. And I am pretty confident it WILL handle some rugged backcountry roads and certainly in the 4Matic version, be fine for snowy mountain passes.
Test drove this car with the same options and a Q3 premium plus Sline, went with the Q3.
Can you add the navigation to the base model as well as the bigger display screen? If so, at what cost?
I have to get this car when my lease ends next year July
Benz ❤️
The exterior just doesn't appeal to me. Good job guys! :D
Good .
Wow, I'm like the only young person here that actually came for the CC crew...
@Daniel Hernandez The only reason I watch all these high end cars is so that I just get ONE decent one when I'm old and rich enough...
Good
This looks somewhat like a mini gls
It looks like a baby GLS 450
I’m finally in the position to be able to afford one of these with all the amenities. HOWEVER... are these any more reliable than the other Mercedes that are always plagued with problems and outrageously expensive to upkeep and fix? I’m used to Toyotas that don’t require anything but oil changes for like 10 years.
I also hate how Mercedes nickels and dimes you for everything. They have stuff that’s an “option” but included as standard in a Camry.
It does not have a sunroof?
This vehicle take gasoline or Diesel?
Thanks for the review. When considering $6k difference between glb and glc (similar difference fully speced) what do you guys think is better in terms of value since you guys tried out both?
Personally, we prefer the GLC. Interior just feels a bit classier and upscale.
@@CarConfections what about the drive between the two? I feel like GLC would be more refined.
Boxy ? G63AMG : am i a joke to you ?
That would be co if Mercedes made a two door version.
I was really looking forward for this model to come out but they've priced it way too high. When I spec it out on the Mercedes website and then spec out an identical GLC, the GLC is only $2,500 more. That's just too close in price for a car that's noisier, made in Mexico as opposed to the GLC being made in Germany, and being almost a full second slower to 60 miles an hour. Not to mention the rear-wheel-drive driving dynamics of the GLC. For some reason they charge $1,000 more for the AMG appearance packages on the glb also.
Exactly that is what I was thinking, its is about $10K more than the Price they introduced it at LA Autoshow.
Chris Bianchi just leased 2020 GLC yesterday. GLB just didn’t feel as nice, both in terms of interior luxury, build, and driving dynamics for the price.
Yeah I don’t understand the point of all these lower tier Mercedes with very little price difference in comparison to mainstream models. $2,000 is nothing more once financing.
Lots of road noise inside at high highway speed, unlikely MB Nice review, though
Probably so. Will help to distinguish it from the more luxurious though similarly sized GLC.
Not true. I have the 2021 and cabin noise is extremely low
Hate fog lights.
So now Mercedes canceled the powered head rest?
It’s on the GLC and higher models (for SUVs)
It’s literally a glc but different outside
The first time I saw the car. It looked boxy and ugly. Now it’s growing on me. Tbh it looks pretty good it looks like a mini gle or gls.
I thought the same way, but now really loving it...
Can’t wait for “TheStraightPipes” guys to review and give it a massive FAIL for not having extending visors! MB should know better. I would not purchase one for this reason alone!
I have a weak spot for mercedes 😅 .. the exterior design is really bad . Thanks guys
Hummers should be back, one of the best times to be selling suv and trucks plus nothing on the market up till now looks as aggressive and mean like a hummer
Hey this is in lex?
Yep, we live in Lexington!
I love the exterior looks and went to look at one, thinking I would like it. I didn't. I never drove it, and I am sure it drives nice, but I couldn't get past the interior. I found the seats uncomfortable and the general appearance of the interior too shiny and blingy. Also, though I wouldn't ride there, the rear seats were flat and low. Maybe I'll take another look, but for almost $50K, I felt let down on my first look.
Interesting! When I test drove it, I actually thought the back seats were wayyy more comfortable than the front! Bummer
@@amandaavia I am 6'2" and large framed. The interior was just too tight for me and just didn't seem like someplace I could spend much time in, overall.
@@chuckhpnwx ah I understand. I am 5’1” so quite a different comparison. My boyfriend is 6’3” though. Would need to check out this car with him then I guess… 🤷🏻♀️
The rear seats do adjust into three positions by pulling the tab
Is it true it has a Renault motor.
How much is it ?
Pricing is at the end of the video! Thanks for watching!
Needs running boards which I understand are not even an option. This is not good.
It does not need running boards. It’s sits low enough for me, a 5’1” person, to get in super easily. It’s crossover height, not SUV height.
I still don't like the Start/Stop on any car no matter how smooth, I am sure they can figure out to be more fuel efficient without this type of gimmick
The GLB have massive Quality Problems, typical building in Mexico or US. Only buy a Benz Line, which is produced in Europe
It’s really loud ...
Looks like the old VW TIGUAN from 2010😫😫😱
Yes,an SUV that’s proud to be an SUV, thank goodness, so many now have a sloping tailgate..... Rubbish
Хорошая машина но Форестер лучше.
I’m so over Mercedes lol I’ll take the new Genesis SUV that will be coming out
@@dorado0359 I did take a Corsair over it. And for reference I used to own a glc.
Looks like a Kia
