Wow great operation!! my dad and I have been dredging in southern Oregon and Northern California with our pro line 5 inch for about eight years now!! Love mining. Congratulations.
great build sonny Jim.......hope you got a nugget trap on that Trommel didn't see one on the back.......that is what we are talking about ....cool miners pick and a shoe to boot hahahahah nice pan of Shiney there my friend ....with that additional 270 excavator you will need a bigger Trommel hahaha great memories right there...love the shot of the Black Bears at the end
Ask Jeff Williams Didn’t have much of a nugget trap no, I had a boil box on the second sluice that I added. Planning on going back next season with a bigger operation. Will make sure I have a defector next time as well! Memories for a lifetime! Hard to match the excitement back home after living the miner life up north. Thanks for watching 👍🏻
Amazing jeff commented! Hey where are you mining? I found an amazing creek in west nippising and also a couple rough diamonds. Ive literally been doing what you guys are without knowing people do that lol. Building. Digging looking! I need more man power though. No young guys want to work these days! Except my 11yr old son. That boy shoveled 6 yrds with only a drink inbetween. All on his own. 😅
So, by doing so much of this with your own hands, did you come out ahead or at least break even? This is one hell of a setup and you did one hell of a job getting everything into place! Much respect man.
That was a great first season !! Finding that old stuff is pretty cool !! I was working a claim back in the late 80's out in Hixon and we found rock carvings of people feet. One was broken from the hoe, but the other one was in perfect shape and in perfect balance when you set it on a level surface. What you are doing now is exactly what I am going to try this year myself out back of the Bowron area
Great video. Nice fab work. I could feel your excitement as more equipment and fab work started showing up. Folks back home don’t understand it ain’t all about the money. Thanks for sharing your story.
That's some serious small scale mining with lots of gold, nice surroundings and nice and professional build wash plant, hope to see more vids in the near future. Starting up my own project soon, sending in environment application this month. Cheers from a miner living in Sweden mining Northern Finland👍
Looks like things are working great. Nice job on the trommel. love the pictures. Hope the new plant is working out with the new screens. Keep up the great work.
And in 100 years the new technology of gold prospecting will increase 10 fold,, and the new miner will say, they never had this equipment back then and left behind lots,,,, as we do say now ,,, great vid, solid effort mate.. cheers from Australia
That's doubtful... in a 100 years at current rate the leftists will have totally banned all mining due to "environmental racism" and "imperalist selfish" personal ambition!
Cool ... My Cousin and I have Gold-Claim's up in that area... I recognized the Wooden Bridge... I know DAN and a few other Miners... I just got back from 2 months of metal Detecting Southern Nevada USA... Hoping to get Up there N-BC later this Summer... I'm from ALBERTA... keep living the DREAM
I have a family member with a claim right near this one. They got well over 150oz in the 80’s outa this area. I saw some pretty big fist sized nuggets.
Dude you must be stoked, I was up in that country last fall moose hunting and seen lots of outfits. Looks like your enjoying yourself with the fish too! Ive got a similar size setup in the cariboo, a bit outside of barkerville. But not as good of fishing as seen here, damn haha! Best of luck to ya this year, we just got snow free!
Just found this. So cool. I just do small time hobby panning and high banking. Not much around me but flower and small stuff. Very limited quantity. Would love to go on a trip like this sometime.
That's a lot of hard work. Have mined the Germanson from the bend to the number 7 pit at the airport , come across 3 different kinds of gold and found the gold in different types of strata. Had one test pan after the hoe opened up a hole at the entrance to Halloways bar and it weighted up a little more than 5 grams, the next day was our best day ever, we chased it for week under that nice boulder clay, then we come across where the oldtimers had creamed it, the Manson's the same way,the going gets good and then you start finding square nails and timbers, just can't believe the oldtimers mined all that by hand.
@@Anthonymoth You bet, still go up there to see friends, worked for a few outfits from 83 to 87 , pulled wrenches and ran loader and cat, keep plugging away at it ,the only problem you find up there is when you go big , you run out of ground quickly, mining underground and washing gold at the germansen pit in the winter of 85-86 was pretty cool. The rules to mine now , make it a game, only the wealthy can play.
rick szabo I bet we have the same friends, very cool that you worked in there. I heard the cleanups out of those drifts were very impressive. I agree, if I went full scale I would mine the bench I’m on in a year and be out of work. Think I’m gonna go back slightly bigger but just do it for a hobby and keep the day job. Maybe mine one month a year sort of thing.
Brand new subscriber. Beautiful work. Where do you mine. I grew up on a mine out by Barkerville, BC. Been logging past twenty years just made the decision to get back mining. Best of luck.👍🇨🇦
Entire disturbed area is re-contoured with fines/topsoil placed back on top and all organic Materials/trees scattered on the surface. The organic material will breakdown and new growth will start.
I just love this video... I find it inspirational... Im in a weird place on my life and i hope to my own gold mine... Always loved gems, i worked in mine after mine... But i really want to start my own of with a few friends
I'd say prepere well, be critical about the claim do as much research as you can because no matter how hard you work, the gold in the ground will determen the outcome. Only mine the best place you can possibly find! On average ground you can go bankrupt if critical equipment breaks down once to often
Awesome man, I did same in Sudan desert in the up north part, we used dry filtration of soil in the bed of ancient valley used to be a path of many seasonable waterways and rivers, at some point my monthly production of gold reached one and half pure gold of high grade close to 999 :) I might be able to share a short video showing how we do that dry style :) Would you pls tell how much it cost -material wise- to make similar trommel as yours considering I can make it entirely my self! I would really appreciate if you could share with us a detailed information on the process required like how to claim and what options available! Thanks for sharing..
Bad ass man! Love the custom work you welded up yourself, looks profesh AF! For any "environmentalists" in the comment section, reclamation after mining actually improves the environment... assuming that's at least half of the dislike ratio...
Thank you! Yes your right, the entire area had been mined twice before me, once in the 1870’s and then again in the 1930’s. But you could hardly tell with all the regrowth, and of course the old timers didn’t even bother with reclamation.
I don't know much about gold mining but i do know a lot about heavy equipment and i would recommend that you get a tracked skid steer for better traction and grip
1,436th thumb 👍up. Way to go get it!! Omg, The Karen's would be coming outta every tree you fell and out from under every rock you moved here in Oregon. All of a sudden, once they hear you.....here come the drones hovering over you most of the time your there. Ridiculous
Hi, What an awesome story. Is there any possibility that your looking for someone to help out. I am a excavator operator, handy around all equipment, local BC, and all around good guy?
30oz? I hope in one week or two.. or do you mean the whole season? If yes, how long was the season? Because it looks like you could really make at least 10oz to 15oz a week in average and a 16 week season could really make a change.
A fairly substantial amount of money is posted in the form of a bond and held with the government. In order to get that money back we have to follow a reclamation plan which includes filling back in all test pits, re-contouring the surface, spreading all soil/organic material back on top, and yes if the government inspector requires we also can seed or plant trees.
Good stuff man. The whole time i was watching that all i could think was this bloke is living his best life! Keep it up man.
You are a "Man With A Plan" and on a mission! Well done! A pleasure to watch!

Looks like I saw some Jade boulders, and Carnelian agates, those are worth money too. what other type of Gemstones may be in the mix?

Dude that thing is awesome! Great video!
That's freaking awesome man get that shiny heavy pans!!!
Awesome man. New sub here. Heavy pans!
You are living my dream!
Just brilliant thanks for the share, fantastic ingenuity.
Awesome video,, the yield will hopefully pay for the cost of upgrades. What level of “reclamation “ is required?

did you find the rest of the old miner?
Nice work!
Nice work. Beautiful area.
Nice trommel, thing looks hungry !!! 🤦🏻♂️👍🏻
It the weather was 65 degrees F, Sunny and dry all year round with No Mosquitoes, it would perfect.
Hey Anthony I once did the same job dog in South America. Can you please tell me how much Diesel and gas did you burn?
Great Video, well done!!!!Care to share your net, that is the important issue.!
Net Profit? Was just a testing operation, spent a lot and made nothing but established a grade on the ground and going back full size this season.
@@Anthonymoth May the Gold Gods smile on you!
This music will make me crazy
Anthony, your videos are great. That trommel is a work of art. How many yards per hour are you running? Looking forward to season 2 results.
This little trommel averaged 20 YPH.

Hello anthony, where did you get your nice claim?
nicely done!
I really like that wash plant. I need to build one

Colorado flourish excavating pretty much! Time to go bigger 😏

Well done bud
Impresionante. Felicitaciones por la cobsteuccion de la maquina. Y por el proyecto. Todo un exito!!

What happens to the land after this process? Is someone responsible for replanting it?

Great set up BUT all season for 30 ounces? That’s not a lot - you should be getting way more with the setup and equipment you have in place
