Hope you get approved quickly! Thanks for sharing your adventures as always :)
Me to NSA..... a lot of people just go ahead and start working but I would rather just wait and not get into trouble hahah.
Ah yes the classic promotional material. This is also what many of our "Annual reports" from the 1880's to 1930's.
Bill Barlees "Gold panning in British Columbia" took numerous excerpts from the BC mining annuals reports and many were found to be highly exaggerated.
The only way to know for sure is previous production numbers and most importantly, getting out there and confirming.
Damn I love your channel and style. Thanks again for the hard work and entertainment. Although you are distracting me from getting my own gold. 😉
Thank you so much Jared! Im stoked you enjoy the videos I am putting out.
really amazing my friend, thank you very much for sharing the video. greetings my friend's hobby. 👍🤝🇮🇩🔔👈👈
Thanks Bismar. I hope you enjoy my future videos as well.
Dan sent me. I’m looking through your videos. Best of luck.
Can’t wait to watch this adventure!! Your diligence in explaining the geology and history of this claim was something to behold. Wish you the best, full pans!!
Thanks bud! It should be a good summer for sure. Thanks for watching:)
Watching from Zimbabwe, this is really insiteful, awesome to see the trummel working well and the sample relatively satisfactory..
Be happy to connect with any prospector and miner in my area or anyone interested.
Unrivaled in gold mining content
@wouldyou7431. Thank you so much. I'm still learning this youtube thing and still think I can make some way better videos.
Sorry I didn't see this sooner! Your still the channel I have the most interest in watching, and not knowing I missed this for a week is aggrevating!😮
All good man! Being a smaller channel youtube doesn't push my video out to subscribers as much.
I'm sitting in my excavator right now running pay at the new site. Should be pritty good I hope!!!
"Break a Leg", great video! Have a good one🤙
Love your trommel. I plan on building something like it. We have a decent gold claim. We're just getting our equipment together to start mining.
Great video, keep up the hard work its going to pay off.
Right on!!! Made my Saturday!
Good Luck
That trommel is an excellent build!
Thanks man. Needs a couple tweaks but over all worked pritty good!
Yeah buddy! Supporting a local island boy! I’d love to visit ✨
For sure man!! Let me know if you come up.
Some good hot ground to come back to, even the ground you are working now is better than what I have access to here in Colorado.
You need to add a funnel on the end of your dump side of the trommel to match your backhoe scoop
Get at it man 👍
Awesome video as always thank you
Thanks Wicka!! Glad you enjoyed it!
So glad to see this video! Great showing in those test pans! Congratulations
Thanks JPH. I hope it all works out for some good videos coming up of the site.
You are doing an excellent job of filming, explaining things as you go( with no bs), and showing your research. Keeps it very interesting for the viewer. Became one of my
favorite sites very quickly. Really enjoyed the building projects you did last winter.
Good luck for the season!
@kimmclaughlin7752 Thanks a lot Kim!!! I really enjoy the fabrication part of mining. I'm super stoked you enjoy the channel that much:)
Dude I'm so glad I found your channel. Thanks dude and good luck!!
Thanks a lot man!!! I love creating the videos, just wish I could upload more frequently.
@TheMiningChannel I hear ya. But what we get is awesome content
Great video very informative and I love it , keep them coming. Thanks for sharing and stay safe
Thanks DT!@ Thanks for watching:)
nice work bro
@JadesAventures22. Thanks for watching!!!
Nice gold 👍👍
With numbers like that, a one man operation could make a great living with just the small plant.
That good test hole turned out to be way richer then I tested!!! Almost double the grade
That's some nice course gold! You'll have to start calling your cresent/wrench a "fitsall"😂 awesome video, well done!
Hehehe Fitsall. One of my favorite tools out in the bush, I have them in metric and standard;) Thank you for your guys video the other week, made my day:)
@@TheMiningChannel be warned, you'll probably get another one!! 😂
Your cinematography is amazing. I hope you keep striking great gold!
Thanks MMAU!! I really enjoy doing that kind of video. I would use my good camera and gear all the time but there's just to much dust around the site. Thanks for watching:)
I love how you are straight and legit to this mining process.for this I'm your new subscriber 😊 and all the best in your endeavours. Waiting for more of your videos
Thanks a lot John! I'm a little slow on the uploads for mining this year. Hopefully next year will be a lot better numbers for videos. Thanks for watching!!!
Good luck
Really glade to see this post hope you have a awesome season. you make the best information fill vid's no drama no shine just strait know how and how to thank you .
I'm glad your enjoying the videos SB!!!
love that mine life you are so right pockets will mess you up
Yes they sure do!!! This ground is super spotty.... sometimes it's frustrating but just sluice it all!!
Finally watched... and holy shit! Hope you set a personal record this season 🤙
thanks Dan Hurd! binge watching your videos!
Thanks a lot Chris!! Not a lot of them but slowly getting a collection.
Duling! Read that many times, I knew you were on that creek when I first listen to your channel. The theory is that thunder creek used to flow north in your area so its such an interesting area!
Yes the Dulling report is very cool hey!! So hard to believe the creek ran backwards but it totally makes sense once a person digs into it. Thanks for watching Golden!!!
Id add some higher sides to the sliuce box! Use wood!
Awesome videos..best I've seen..you've got some serious talent
Thanks a lot Jason:) I really enjoy making the videos, creating them is like building stuff to me.
Excellent video for the photograpy and editing. Love your explanation of the rationale for selecting the test locations. Thank you for sharing.
Thanks a lot IA. This was a fun video to make. I enjoy the editing video and editing alot.
Just found your channel! Thanks for the trommel building and testing content!
Hey Chris, welcome! I am little slow on uploads compared to other channels but do my best. Thanks for watching:)
Sweet…. Like when the tests are strong. 👊🏼 that’s a fist pump, I wasn’t punching you 😂
Hahaha. Thanks AM!!
Good luck 😊
Great video thanks
was waiting for this, I'm greedy and want more content from you lol. and good luck
Hehehe. Wish I could put out more videos. Been a busy season so far:)
@@TheMiningChannel😊❤❤❤
Thanks for sharing 👍🏻
My pleasure 😊
A guy at work yesterday, asked me if I watch Gold Rush....I told him I used to but it got so full of drama and BS it just got old.
They rarely showed anything truly useful.
I told him I watch real miners now days. Yourself, Jeff Williams, Dan Hurd, and Pauly, but I get the most from you and Jeff.
Again thank you and be safe 👍🏻
You have done your work on the gold pay congratulations on your recovery I am in to prospecting for gold I have a sluce and all I need to prospecting for gold and a metal detector
Excellent!!! Good luck out in the bush and I hope you find the motherload:) Thanks for watching!
Great info can't wait to see the big trommel in action
Me to!!!! I want to see that sluice lit right up!!
Waiting on our lease approval here in Clermont Queensland Australia. Scrape and detect for a couple of years then wash the dirt.. The area was mine in 1860 by Chinese miners.
I wish I had some deposits like you guys down that way. Are you going to have to run a dry wash plant?
great video
GOOD. LUCK. BUDDY. , 😊😅 FORT. ST. JOHN. BC. .
Very nice indeed, got it going on brother
Thanks Brandon! It was fun to check out the new site.
Looking good👍
Thanks FPCW!! Super excited to get my big trommel up there and run some yardage.
Awesome very educational 💯 and good luck and looking forward to more your videos
Thanks DD!! I used to be a instructor like Dan so I can explain thigs fairly well, just translating it to video is still tricky for me lol
if u install a log washer ahead of the trommel hopper feed you'll have your best chance of breaking up those clays
Yes that would work very well. I can't remember the name of the piece of equipment but it has these large "camshaft" type rollers on it. It is designed to be a grizzly but would break up clays like a log washer.
Glad I stumbled upon your channel. Love the way you present your thoughts to us all. Super well done! The book under your scale at 20:30 was recently gifted to me by an old Cariboo prospector. Nice!! Stay safe out there!!
Hey Matt! Thanks for the compliment. Yes that's the old Bill Barlee book, not to many of the originals left. Super nastalgic. Thanks for stopping by the channel and I hope you enjoy my future videos.
@@TheMiningChannel I’m glad I have a handful to get caught up with. I’m excited for it.
@mattridley8995 Binge away buddy haha. It's a pritty new channel so there isn't to many mining videos.
This video….as a prospector, I just learned a lot! Thank you. This was a very very informative video.I hope you find one of those untouched glacial areas! Awesome awesome video
I'm glad you got some info out of it bud!!!! I hope you get a chance to stop by this summer!
Awesome video man. Good luck
Thanks Dodgeit!!! I'm glad you enjoyed it.
Good luck !
Thanks Jenny!!! We need all the luck we can get right now:)
Would so luv to work something like this at least once in my lifetime lol 😆😂🤣
Great video. Actually showing how it's supposed to be done. It is the only sure way of succeeding in this game. I sure like that mini trommel you built. I'm going to build one this winter that's for sure
Thanks a lot Shane, let me know when you want some schematics for one and I can email them to you.
Very good explanations of how you approach your setups. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks a lot Don. I'm glad you enjoyed it:)
Great video! Excellent glacier information. You are the gold guru!
Thanks Wally!! These formations are easy to find around here but hard to read where the gold is. I usually just run it all hahah.
You living the life bro!
Love the channel and your positivity. Good luck and keep the videos coming.
@runnahg540. Thanks a lot!! wish I could upload more frequently but things are so busy right now:)
You have a knack for entertaining education, Ty! That spot looks really good and that trommel looks perfect for testing with. Cha-Ching! 🤑
Thanks Kolten!! I really enjoy making the videos. I hope I hit some rich spots up there!!!
Really interesting to see you figure out the land. 👍
These glacial deposits are a mess to actually figure out. One minute they are good then they drop right off..... Thanks for watching Matt!
Great video, would love to get a set of your plans for this test trommel.
Love the in depth videos, very inspirational! I’m a prospector in Indiana, hope to turn full time one day. Good gold here thanks to the Canadian glaciers. Built a wash plant out of a m105 trailer years ago and after watching your videos gets me itching to ditch the dredge and fire it up! Keep up the great content brother
That test trommel seems to be doing a great job for you! Loved the video, lots of great info and lots to learn about how the glaciers played their role. Keep up the good work on these videos man!
Thanks man! Hope your doing good out on your sites.
Just found you channel really enjoy you build video's looking to build a test trommel this winter myself and looking forward to getting out to that area after the long week-end for a couple of weeks of panning .:)
@bairdsaunders1121
Hey bud thanks a lot. It's a pritty new channel amd hope to add a lot more. I've been pritty slow uploading lately, just trying to getba head a bit on the mining part amd it will pick up again:)
Great video 👍 have you thought about a course material screw. To break that clay apart. ? Only other way. Is to add a high preasure prewash deck. That clay. It's holding gold bro 🤔
I have always wanted to try one out!! I seen Freddy Dodge used one on a episode and have wanted one ever since.
Another awesome video, looks like some good times ahead, as long as the equipment keeps going. Thanks for sharing, hope those permits come through soon for you
Thanks a lot Jeff. All the equipment is just itching to dig into some of that pay....
godspeed
Nice work dude!!!!
Thanks Joel!!
You are going to hit motherload very very soon! I am so very happy for you! Great news and video !
Thanks Robert:) I have a good feeling about this site also!
Promising looking tests 🤞 the full run tests prove out
Yes totally Matt. I'm looking forward to getting the big trommel up there.
@@TheMiningChannel I'm still on hand pump and pan but doing ok this season 😉
@tattoedmat You probably have more gold them me this month hahah. I've been reclaiming my old site and waiting on this new permit, should have it anyday now I hope. Where about are you prospecting?
@@TheMiningChannel all over Scotland, uk
luck be with you!
Thanks Blain!
Nice to see your getting some good results I'm off for a week on the shovel in the next couple days 😊
Hey Paul! yes it is nice to finally be on some decent ground. Hope you have some good days out there:)
@@TheMiningChannel hope so I need 1 more 1g nugget to complete my ring 🤪
If even those numbers are 50% true, you got some good money coming ahead.
Yes totally!!! First day sluicing tomorrow!!!
Get lots of gold mr
I may have a few "crescent hammers" as well....😅
The excitment of breaking new ground. Though I realize its not the same for me because Im not the one putting hundreds of hours and thousands pf dollars into it 😅 but Ill come along for the ride and hope to see you get a great payout at the end
Hahah it is still exciting for me to regardless on the money part. I seem to get bored on sites amd need a change up every 3-4 years. Thanks for watching @bazamere2091:)
9:33 adjustable wrench 🔧
Is that the trommel you built last winter? love that design!
It is!!! I will have a video out this winter on some changes I will be doing to up the yardage on it.
I am not proficient in the gold business but once you get the bedrock exposed would it be good to run a detector over that exposed surface?
This channel has legs
Thanks Peter! I like the analogy haha. Thanks for watching:)
Have you considered using a another pump and an additional spray bar?
A person could add an additional spray bar and pump. Those water systems have to be separated or the first pump started will fight the other. With a 3 inch line ran all the way the trommel runs great.
You call it a miners wrench, I call it a All sixteenths wrench
Hahha love it. I haven't heard that one yet:)
What would you say you need per yard to make a placer mine operational?
I try and stick to Oz to 300 yards as my minimal. I have mined less grades but it gets pritty tight if a person runs that for weeks on end.
You washed it out. You got to sit off water first the. The trommel
When we gonna get the measurements for that trommel I’d love to build one similar for Utah .
@dcfilms347. I'm just putting them together right now. Not to sure how I will get them to people. Maybe just a email list, and I could fire them off to people who want them???
I’d love to get on that list if possible.
Test, test, test. May the odds be ever in your favor.
@slatcoau. I sure hope they are haha. Thanks for watching once again:)
First! ✌️
Haha nice:)
Have you ever gotten to this. And how did it do
Hey Jesse, yes the mining videos after this one is of that site. Dan Hurd was there for a visit.
Are you in Canada or USA?
I'm up in British Columbia Canada:)
How can you oz per 100 yds be worth your time?
$1000 per ton is the goal isn't a yard about a ton?
I wish I could mine a consistent Oz to 100 yards. I make money off of Oz to 300 but that is the bottom line. When we move 100s of yards In a day it adds up quickly. In hardrock yes $1000 per ton is excellent but placer is a lot cheaper to process meterial.
Is that grandma sandy book that she gave you
No, this is a old Bill Barlee book.
You ever allow visitors?
Hey Greg, I actually do yes.
@@TheMiningChannel I know you in B. C., but thats about it. I also follow Dan Hurd, as well as Pioneer Pauly. Is there a email address I could use for more formal contact?
@GregRutkowski Yes it is liquidsteel@hotmail.ca

PS: Not only is the music distracting but it varies in volume so much from the narration that I am constantly on the volume control. I am happily listening to the dialogue when the music comes screaming on, I turn it down, then when the dialogue returns it can't be heard, turn it up, about then more of the obnoxiously loud music beating my ear drums, etc. etc. Fascinating what you are doing but you make it so hard to continue to watch.
Yes, I'm still learning the editing part. My audio has always been a problem in my videos due to the different cameras I have been using. I'm slowly getting it matched up with the editing software. Unfortunately I dont pay others to do my videos and I'm just a miner in the bush editing my own but Im getting better each video:)
I want to come help you and learn. For free just for the experience. No joke let me know if you want an apprentice for a week or two.
Great channel. It would be much easier to listen to the fascinating narration without the music. At least with it turned down to background level and off when the narration is on. I don't know what it is but so many presenters forget that the content is what is important. If I wanted to listen to music, and I often do, I turn on Pandora or some such. When I turn on You Tube it is because the content is to my liking and of importance. Anything that detracts from that is not good. Music that competes for the viewer's senses and degrades the clarity is a drawback. With a limited amount of time and a plethora of interesting videos such distractions just cause me to switch to another channel. Often I am sorry to have to do so as the buried content was intriguing but frustrating to listen to when I am trying to relax and take in the topic.
I agree and everyone has always mentioned it. What was happening was my headphones i use to edit were mismatching the audio to music. I had to buy some fancy 400$ earphones to last month so it doesnt happen. My early videos were very bad on having the music to loud. I put out a "voting pole" on my channel and music to loud was the main complaint haha. Thanks for watching:)
