@@tamegaming1768 I have a hard time describing the sound that I've been looking for, but I guess I'd have to say deep and smooth. Not overly a fan of volume, but I also work in a call center and get irritated when people make snippy comments about key noise lol
I just got mine today and the stock sound is pretty damn good ngl! I am going to try and do the tape mod and swap the brown switches even tho I love them. I also have a K6 which I'm going to heavily mode because the stock sound on that one is just freaking terrible. Once I'm done modding these two then I'm going for my first custom build!
Yep, the Q1 w/knob has all the improvements of the Q2 as well (except for the nicer PBT keycaps). Better stabs, force break mod, heavier bottom case, steel plate instead of aluminum. I got mine the other week and it's pretty good stock. I do need some better keycaps though.
Thank you for this video! I just ordered a Q3 - and this is exactly the sound I want to achieve. Your channel is fantastic - lighting/camera/audio/presentation/knowledge - all of it is top-tier.
The Christmas-Keycaps actually look pretty amazing! And this is coming from someone who usually does not like these kinds of "holiday-sets" at all. Nice work there, Keychron!
Not sure if anyone mentioned in comments, but they added the force break mod through silicone dampeners in place of where people have been putting tape in the previous Q1 to reduce ping by a mile. The Q2 and future Q1's will now have these pre-installed :)
For anyone on the fence about this keyboard, do it! I just finished getting mine put together and I absolutely love it. Lubed & filmed Zeal Tealios V2 switches & DCX Hyperfuse keycaps. Likely going to replace the stabs and do the tape mod as well but honestly as is, it's pretty great.
I'm typing on my Q2 now. It's my first keyboard in a few years. I have 2 Leopold FC750R's with browns and blues. Those were my first "real" keyboards. This Q2 takes the build quality to another level. This thing is HEAVY. And it's my first 65%, which has been shockingly easy to adjust to. Apparently I don't use the function row? The stock sound is pretty nice but I plan to do Hipyo's mods but use black ink v2s and Akko caps. I've never lubed and filmed switches before, so I wanted to learn. That deeper sound is amazing. It sounds clicky but it's what us keeb enthusiasts call the "clack". The switches used here are linears, not really clicky switches. Also, it's because the board is aluminum that's why it "clicks"
With these mods which are pretty easy, it got a more deep and muted sound to it that I really dig. Audible, but not enough to pick up and annoy people over comms like plastic clicky gamer keebs do.

Switched from a razer blackwidow chroma V2 that I'd been using for about 6 years now to the keyboard in this video, modded in the same fashion, just with a different style keycap from keychron and the blue version of the board since it was the only one in stock. The difference is absolutely night and day. I enjoy typing on this keyboard like no other. when you press the spacebar on the modded one, it sounds like when you place a wood plank down in minecraft. I love it. I need it.
Looks and sounds amazing 😍. Good job
damn the spacebar is the exact kind of spacebar that I've been wanting for so long
I bought Leopold FC750RBT with Brown switches, it sounds a bit loud for me, now i want to make it sound like yours, thanks for the video, i got a goal.
Haha love that you mimicked the "oh yeah" sound Glarses uses.

Man, that sounds so good! Just subscribed!! I am new to the keyboard game and am looking for my 1st keyboard to buy. This was almost it, but I need a wireless keyboard.
I ain't even got mine yet and I'm looking into making it into the thockiest thing you ever done heard.... it tickles my ears so pleasantly.
I love the honest reviews! Also, is it just me but I cannot hear any difference between the Stock and Tape mods. Either way, great video! I'll be purchasing one of these keyboards now, thanks!
