Is there a chance that, direct bilirubine can regurgitate back in the liver (in cholestasis) and affect the conjugation process in healthy hepatocytes and therefore the indirect bilirubin gets to raise too a little bit?
How is stercobilin produced in hemolytic jaundice? It is preheat defect so, it can't reach intestine so, urobilinogen isn't produced and it is produced from oxidation of urobilinogen?? I wish I didn't misunderstand😢😢.
Guys, I have a question ❓ I have jaundice from time to time with lower dried lips and feel sleepy most of the times. I did CBC test and all was normal except my bilirubin was way higher than peak ,the liver enzymes were OK as well POINT : I FAST ALL DAY ONLY TO EAT AT DINNER , is this common or related to liver damage?
Sounds like Gilbert’s Syndrome. It’s a common genetic condition which leads to elevated bilirubin due to an enzyme deficiency of UTG1A1. Affects about 10% of Caucasians. When the body is under stress the liver produces less of this enzyme. Lack of sleep, excess exercise, dehydration, emotional stress. Fasting is a type of stress. I bet if you stopped fasting and drank more water the jaundice and bilirubin would normalize, or the bilirubin would be only slightly elevated.
It sounds like Gilbert’s syndrome, a genetic hereditary disorder where slightly higher than normal levels of bilirubin build up in the blood, causing jaundice., everything in CBC will be normal and okay except for bilirubin obviously. No treatment is needed but several factors, including FASTING for long periods of time like this , illness, and dehydration etc , may trigger symptoms! So don’t worry but be carful
Hi I have a question, if due to obstruction bacterias are not able to form urobilinogen and stools are pale then how the urine colour is dark, as urobilinogen has to be converted to urobilin and excrete in urine?
My question is the bilirubin greenish color cuz our doctor said it’s colorless but once it differentiates in the intestine it gets the color and in urine it will be colorless
Hi Medicosis, if the patient have hemolytic disease of RBC, doesn't their hemoglobin ends up in the urine and cause hematuria? Therefore, the urine will be red, full of hemoglobin? Why did you say the urine will be normal color?Thank you, medicosis.
There are 2 different types of hemolytic anemia (intravascular and extravascular). I was referring to extravascular hemolysis. You referred to intravascular hemolysis. Moreover, the video is concerned with the effect of bilirubin and its metabolites on the color of the urine, and not the effects of other factors.
@@MedicosisPerfectionalis I see. Acute hemolytic transfusion reaction must belong to the intravascular hemolytic anemia. RBC got killed and bursted by IgM antibodies in the blood vessel. The spleen macrophages probably did not eat those RBCs. Is Rh incompatible hemolytic disease of new born intravascular or extravascular? Do you have a video talking about the differences between intravascular and extravascular hemolytic anemia? Thank you so much.

1- the urobilin and Urochrom are the same?

Thx bro❤
Is jaundice the same as scleral icterus
Scleral icterus is a symptom of jaundice.
Great!

Check out my “labs” playlist.
why does conjugated bilirubin rise in rotor's syndrome since it is a defect in OATP that take unconjugated bilirubin into the hepatocyte?
thank you but how conjugated bilirubin will increase in the blood in hepatocellular when the liver can not conjugate bilirubin !

Why stools are dark in hemolytic anemia plz clear it reason behind it??
Because of increase in the total amount of urobilinogen

Hi

The urine is dark because of conjugated bilirubin.
Sir doesn’t Alp increase in hepatocellular jaundice??
How many liters of bile do we make per day or expect to drain into a tube?
As always, bloody amazing 👏 (excuse the pun). Thank you!
I love that famous Egyptian prof 😂🤍🤍

In hemolytic jaundace shouldn't be the urobilinogen in the urine increased? Both CB and urobilinogen in the urine give coca cola like appearance?
My question is the bilirubin greenish color cuz our doctor said it’s colorless but once it differentiates in the intestine it gets the color and in urine it will be colorless
Should urine always be yellow, mine is non colour at times. I call yellow bilirubin..
The Egyptian professor is he Dr Nagy Iskandar ? 😅 I think i heard him saying the same way from many years
Yes!
Hi Medicosis, if the patient have hemolytic disease of RBC, doesn't their hemoglobin ends up in the urine and cause hematuria? Therefore, the urine will be red, full of hemoglobin? Why did you say the urine will be normal color?Thank you, medicosis.
