I got an N-Line about 7 weeks ago, and it's fantastic! I think with the level safety tech, the quality of the interior (love the seats and the steering wheel!) and the performance it's just outstanding value. And it to cap it off its unique shape looks give it a panache that no hatch from any brand can match.
Thanks Jenny - excellent & detailed review!! Can’t wait - 4 more weeks for delivery. All reviews has been positive and the car is a step up from all other brands - value for price paid. I’m getting a manual- sad as most other vehicles coming into Australia is coming in with automatic transmission- and no ability (or challenges) to upgrade the tech if you are set on a manual. Understand it’s production and / or consumer demands in Australia however.. consumers needs to have upgrade options.. This will do me just fine ...peace everyone !
Great review as always 👍. One suggestion would be to demonstrate the gear box reaction when you floor it, how quickly does the gear box respond when you need it to.
Own the N-Line premium and trust me you do want that 10.2" touch screen which N-line doesn't have. Also the BOSE surround sound is the cherry on top. This car is guarantee to turn heads.
@@mharro88 it is surprisingly quite especially on the freeway. As you know Hyundai set up suspension tuned for Australian roads locally. Because it is not the full blown N car you'll find it the perfect balance of comfort and aggression. Because in sport mode it is a completely different car.
i am choosing between the Elite and N-line, this and the other review Amelia did are useful for comparison of the two. Based on Jan 2022 info, the N-Line is approx $1500 more expensive than the Elite, primarily for the more powerful engine (N line loses out on sat nav, smaller touch screen and supervision cluster, and speakers). I foresee that I will switch to a green car in 3-5 years, which might be a better interim option, elite or N-Line?
I like that there's a manual option, and the design is growing on me. Not sure about the external badges, they look a bit too big to me, in proportion to the car.
Amazing value , when you consider the new Golf GTI will be 55 grand. Just hope that DCT is durable. Would have liked to see you guys given it a bit of a rev, so we can hear engine and gear changes. A bit “driving Miss Daisy.”
Hyundai have been using dct for years now they didn't botch the application the way vw and ford did re powershit transmission they done extensive testing before unleashed to the public .and beside Hyundai has excellent customer support unlike vw that treat you like an inconvenience when there's a warranty claim
I’ve had a few cars in the last couple of years, mercedes amg c43, range rover velar, and the last one is a 2020 audi A5, however I fell inlove with this n line model when i saw the lights at night how the rear lights up and looks like an audi A7, its beautiful and im considering selling my car and getting one of these for a lot cheaper, i think it’ll make for a great daily, sadly i feel like im putting too many kms in the audi commuting to work and its gonna hurt me on the depreciation, so im gonna start looking at these new ones ☺️
It's amazing that they offer a manual transmission option with the 1.6L turbo. I would have bought a Kia Cerato GT with this drivetrain combination if offered. Alas I settled for the smoother (than DCT) 6sp torque convertor auto with the barely adequate 2.0L naturally aspirated engine. I suspect the ride on 18 inch low profile tyres would also be too brittle on Australian roads. I replaced my firm 17's with cushier 16's on Cerato Sport. Much more amenable.
@ 2:12, you have quoted the outputs of the 2L direct injection (120kw & 203Nm) found in the i30 hatch. The i30 sedan has lower outputs (117kw & 191Nm) from a 2L multi-point injected motor.
Depends who's buying it for me? I really like the i30 sedan and would have one in a flash. I'm already old so buying the sportier vehicle would not be important to me, but I do like the Elite with its two-tone interior. But you, never know, I may just change my mind and get the N-Line ... that's if I win the lotto.... *lol*
I think renaming it i30 Sedan is most stupidest decision Hyundai has done for Australian market. Elantra or even Avante has better name and ring to it than some number and name of the body style...
@@Hazan12345 yeah I thought so .... don't know why heads up display is such a premium feature. And 360 is a must, and such a handy thing to get used to. Isn't auto folding mirrors literally on every car nowadays?
Yup, @ 7:42, I was thinking the same. It's a shame because the Korean sisters were two of the few remaining companies to supply full sized spares. Here in Australia, Subaru are the only company to offer a full sized spare across most of their range.

when in dark grey / black it kinda looks like an Audi. Wish Hyundai would update there logo as looks dated now... have updated KIA one. With Jenny on the wheel... think it looks great
I like how a manual is available.......great for country driving. I'm not generally interested in sedans anymore, but this one would top my list if I was, over and above the Kia Stinger.
I have no idea other countries' Elantra n line has a full monitor and bose system, but the American ones suck. I got one 2022 nline dct actually feels great but the interior design is a little behind
This sedan i30 N Line is a bargain. Hy/Kia are doing so much right! Sadly, badge snobs only buy for the kudos of being able to boast. ps. Now it seems to mean "what's doing"> Not a criticism just an observation of how Amercianisms are creeping into Aussie English.
The external design is good, with the rear being bold. It's the interior that is the winner for me. It really works and looks both sporty and luxurious at the same time. Coherent, but surprisingly poorly adapted to RHD. *sad face* from UK too.

This design is growing on me. Cant wait for the N. Why didn't they use the new 2.5?!?
The 2.5 was kept for the N model only, where the N line got the smaller engine.
