Thank you for all of this information . I sure appreciate you!😊
Glad it was helpful!
Hell yeah brother thanks for making me a lot more comfortable with my truck.
Awesome Sauce,,,, Congratulations on your Car Hauling Business!!!! U got this.. just Be Safe..🙏🏽😊💕
Thank you so much. Get my CDL now so I can do this next summer. I know it’s a lot to get started and hard work but I feel a little at ease after watching your video
glad I could help, make sure you stay locked in with me. I've been getting asked a lot of questions so I plan on going over more start-up need to know info in my next videos.
As a life long hauler, and mechanic, keep a eye on that 6.0, they can be problematic, and expensive to repair, just about any repair requires the cab of the truck to come off. Good content and good luck on the road
Thanks for the heads up , again i wish id done better research, I've been hearing that alot about the 6.0's i would've avoided it had i known but i don't plan on running it long distance mainly regional/ local but i'll definitely be upgrading trucks sooner then later.✊🏽
thats a lie the 6.0 is a good motor its the 6.4 that you have to take the cab off trust me i hot shot and have both the 6.0 and 6.4 but like anything in life you get out what you put in @@EprofitdetroitTheProcess
there is absolutely ZERO jobs that REQUIRE the cab to come off, but since it takes 30 minutes to have the cab off its just way easier
In your heart hopefully where I need to be...lol❤
Good luck
I know it feels right to have only one vehicle lower on the trailer, but doing so put it way too far to the rear. Even on a big truck you want more weight forward if the rear axles. On this rig, it’s crucial to have it forward. You were almost far enough back to have more weight behind the axles than in front of them. That’s literally deadly. The further the weight is to the rear, the easier it is for the truck to pull it. The further the weight is to the rear, the harder it is for the truck to control it. There’s a pretty big happy medium. You won’t have any trouble hitting that sweet spot as long as you know it’s there.
Ok My brudda back dropping vids💪🏽 Yes siiirr getting that boy ready for them FBodies 🫡💯
Yessssir ✊🏽
Brother doin some work! I’m just starting my research.. vids like this help a ton, man. 🙏👊
Congrats and Good luck on your new business! I would recommend when hauling one car to shift it more forward than you have it in the video. You want the center of gravity of that trailer to be in front of the trailer axles.
Thanks alot , i appreciate the blessing, and I've heard different advice when hauling one car, most say load right over the axles for better trailer stability, i figure in front was better too , even the guy in the video suggested i backed up over the axles. I drove about 100 miles loaded like it was and it handled good, but i'll try in front next time .
If i might add. Those 6.0 Ford's had a head bolt issue. So keep an eye out. Also keep u some diesel fuel additive.. like stiction just to keep things some what clean. Like injectors and turbo. Check for blow by. By removing oil fill cap and turning it unside down and putting it on the oil fill tube to see if it blows it off. Jsaying. Good luck. My brother used 2 haul cars a few years back. Its a good living
Great point! and thanks for that advice
I'm just getting started from Louisiana, got a day cab an Kaufman ez4, where u from, my company been established since Feb, but I had alot of time to burn on my old job an I took the summer off, now I'm bout ready to start rolling
what's up fam , I'm from Detroit . and yeah get out there a get that money, You gained some time under your authority so it should be easier for you to work with shippers
Good videos G can u make a video about the insurance part I’m thinking about getting in the game insurance is the scary part for me
As it should be lol insurance is going to be your biggest expense besides fuel but yessssir, i got you on the next video ✊🏽
letsssss goooo he back
😂 yessssssirr ! ✊🏾
Run the numbers.
uploading a new video now .. look out for it tonight !
850 pounds of torque
Hey my man quick question...how long is your rig and trailer combo? I have an f550 and im measuring 15 feet back from my front bumoer and to stay 65 feet my fithwheel attachment would have to be right behind my crew cab body...how are u guys running 48+' trailers and have a crew cab and the fith wheel so far back? Im confused ... only way i cam see making it work would to have a single cab...
to be honest I would have to measure it again but when my welder installed my fifth wheel I believe he said my total length was around 60ft, I'm under 65 ft for sure. he measured 2 ft in front of my rear axle to install the fifth wheel to the frame which gave me a overlap he said . all I know is My f350 was a short bed so I honestly don't believe my truck was longer then 15ft but I would have to take measurement to answer your question.
@EprofitdetroitTheProcess oh ok yea I'd love to know your measurements from the front t of bumper to center of your fith wheel attachment
I'm uploading a Video now to discuss it .
Awsome man thank u. If you still have 5 feet to spare then I may be able to use my truck with my long wheel base
Idk why you didn’t get a Semi. You can lease a trailer
this Was my first go around getting setup so I went with what was available and what fit my budget, now that I have more knowledge and experience , I understand my options
Nice.
How much did you get the Kaufman for?
10k want to buy it ? lol
Why take the bed off? Just get a 4500 lol
Beef up the engine longer head bolts before you blow the engine
Hot shotters are ruining the auto hauling business get your CDL and don't haul cheap freight
They just need to haul for good rates and quit taking crappy rates hauling from iaa or copart. Those places want you to haul cheap asf
@D.Martin There's people out here who have a 100 to $400000 equipment. It Cost about 12000 dolfirst in fuel per month if you're running legal miles.
That's about a dollar per mile just to operate. On a 9 car stinger. That's not factoring in breakdown costruck payments and insurance cost. If you're running a 9 car with anything less than $3 per mile, empty And loaded miles, the dealerships and the brokers are hustling you. All these youtubers need to stop glorifying the amount of money. We make especially the hot shotters because a lot of people don't talk about the cost of operating. Yeah, we roll a lot of money but but half of that isn't even yours to keep realistically. The rates that are on central dispatch right now Believe Me There's a lot of people that are only one breakdown away from going out of business
I understand your frustration, I have my cdl and was looking for a good opportunity to utilize it, It was between Trucking or car hauling but after hearing so many people complain about how bad rates were on freight and the cost of fuel , I heard decent things about car transporting so I decided to invest with the hopes of growing and getting to the 9 car stinger level. But its like you say , Since I've been on central dispatch I've noticed rates dropping weekly. Its unreal but even with me operating a pickup truck I still refuse to run crap rates,
