Looks like a bad spackle repair patch job. But definitely a ton better than it was. Good job brother. You did all the steps right except the finishing. It takes a LOT of time and patience.

For this old truck I was pretty happy with the results...then I went a whole other route and built an entirely new upper dash

I used the polyvance dash repair kit as well and completed all the steps. My dash came out looking brand new. You were so close……

hey bro, body filler work sucks at best for all of us. I attempt this stuff all the time sometimes with success. Outside of aftermarket who ever comes up with a good solution for dashes that can take the weather punishment will be rich. I am working on my 69 F100 dash which is as basic a dash pad as they come. Life is far to short to try and master every craft and I Just as you don't have the patience for that stuff. Even if I paid myself minimum wage when all is said and done my repair would cost me 1000 bucks for subpar results. Thanks more than anything for your honesty which is severely lacking in this day and age. In closing Im sure you get it perfect on what's important like family because you are wise enough not to let some shit steal the sand from your hourglass of life
