    I love the creative use of foil tape. But you've made a simple job complex, and much less resilient. Why less resilient?
    What you're doing is a repair using polystyrene and epoxy. Both are much more brittle than the PP (polypropylene) bumper, so any impact there is far more likely to cause a failure. Why not just fill the crack with some melted PP? (Usually the bumper will even have spare tabs somewhere ;) ) Much easier and guaranteed compatible.

      Thank you for your enthusiastic contribution, I will try it with molten pp plastic. I'm actually testing a lot of different materials, after a long time seeing which material is the most suitable.

      @@GausDIY Jajaja, Bueno, Pitágoras, fue filósofo y matemático Griego, que hizo muchos aportes a la aritmética y la geometría, entre ellos el teorema de Pitágoras que dice:"La suma de los cuadrados de las longitudes de sus catetos,es igual al cuadrado de la longitud de su hipotenusa"🤔 jajaja,yo tampoco entiendo nada, pero el lo dijo 🤣,no te va servir para nada en la vida, así que ni te preocupes,lo que no cabe dudas es que este Pitágoras tenía tiempo libre en cantidad,no tenía,na que hacer, este en nuestro tiempo no hubiera descubierto nada jajaja,un saludo GausDIY, espero haber respondido tu pregunta,un placer 👍

      Seems/ Norton/3M and a few other companies make 2 part exposies specialized for different types of plastics/ rubber/ metals and fiberglass is what we use today.
      Fiberglass resin will not properly adhere to some plastics and rubbers' basically will peel off.

    Professional plastic welders (bike fairings,bumpers etc) know that they have to use the SAME material to weld them; so,they have an enormous variety of plastic rods for each job; and they charge a lot for those jobs too..;
    By law,mostly in Europe,USA, and others, it is mandatory to have stamped on EVERY plastic piece,its material; all you do is to look for the stamped(molded!) 2 or 3 letters;
    Best way is to cut and use a piece of the same plastic you are welding, from a place that stays hidden.

    Also, any 2 part adhesives should be mixed on a separate surface and then applied. The problem with your technique is you have sandwiched un-mixed hardening agent and unmixed resin of whatever glue you used under the hardened glue. This will cause the repair to bubble up over time.
    Overall you have used a very poor technique with poor materials that is guaranteed to fail.

      I completely agree! I'd rather ride around with the hole than to go thru all that! 😂 That's insane, get a little Bondo and sand paper. You had the mesh and sand paper but doing all that just for a simple hole is CRAZY! Sorry dude but that's way too many house hold items that would end up costing you more than just mesh, bondo, and sand paper. Thanks for the video bc you did put a lot of effort into it. 👍

    Could just placed baking soda on screen then Super Glue and alternate mixing to a level desired to create patch on the foil tape

    ... if you already soldering a mesh then just fill the whole thing with plastic or abs scraps. The glue amd acetone cost more then just filling with scrap plastic.

    I've made these small repairs with Bondo glass with less prep and time. And despite what others think, Bondo glass is quite durable.

    Round three sides of a square to get from A to B .. plastic filler and mesh would be a wee bit quicker.

    Plastik file için nalburdan bir karış kırpıntı mantolama filesi bulunur...Daha kolayı pazardan plastik süzgeç alıp alttaki plastik file makasla kesilip alınır...Daha başka ince bulaşık teli olur.... Aklıma gelen 3 yol....Aseton eczanede var.. Kırpıntı EPS köpük kolay...Çöpte bulunur...
