One of my tricks is to pull off the cover, remove the power supply, hard drives and other loose items and putting the entire computer into our dishwasher upside down so the main spraying wand can hit every square inch of the internals. Let it dry for five or more days. The computer’s interior looks amazing. The rest of the parts get a full IP99 treatment with a spray bottle, a toothbrush from China and a lot of paper towels. Give it time to dry. The last thing I do is use some Deoxit on all of the connectors and some socketed chips. I do this so friends of mine that don’t have the cash to drop on a new computer can make what they have to last for hopefully several years.
