    Got one of these with i5 3570 & RX550 OC low profile for €120. For another 50, I added 8gb ram (16gb total) and a 480gb Kingston SSD (it has mounts behind the HD). Just finished RDR2 with 47fps average. Started Witcher 3 yesterday, runs perfect at 1080. Temps are excellent without any mods. Great little bargain gaming system.

    I have a couple of these that don't work that I use to teach a class how to build a PC. They are super simple, only require a single screwdriver to disassemble or assemble. And they don't take much space for easy storage.

    7:05 Don't forget to plug in the CPU cooler again so it has power.😺
    Also it's probably a bad idea to blow any dust around the case with the CPU removed as dust will contaminate the CPU socket.

    • @scellyyt
      @scellyyt  2 года назад +4

      Hence I kept it in the socket. That also keeps the CPU safe from drops. And yes, the fan should be plugged back in again! 😅

    Planning on getting a Xeon quad core 8 thread 2.8Ghz/core CPU for my Optiplex 7010 SFF and am going to max out the RAM, flash the BIOS to add Xeon support and increase the memory support as the stock BIOS only officially supports Celerons, i3, i5 and i7 chips and a maximum of 16GB of 1,333Mhz DDR3 memory and I plan on upgrading to faster 32GB 1,600Mhz DDR3 memory in 4×8GB sticks. The next upgrade will be a low profile GeForce GT 1030 4GB GDDR5 graphics card. I also heard there are low profile GTX 550 2GB GDDR5 cards out there so I might look into getting one of those if the 1030's turns out to be too pricey. The storage upgrade is going to be a $30 1TB SanDisk Ultra 3D 2.5" SSD with a drive caddy adapter I got from Ebay for $4. The graphics card is going to be the hardest upgrade to source for me as the GT 1030's have recently gone up in price and my total budget for this build is $130 which includes the CPU, SSD, 32GB of RAM, and no more than about $40 for the graphics card.

    • @nickfury1279

      If you use a kit of 4 identical 8gb DIMMs there should be no issues. If different sticks of ram are used it also probably will work, but it may not run at transfer speeds as high as you'd expect because of mismatched timings and other things. My server 7010 is currently running 16gb with 4x4gb non identical DIMMs just fine at 1600mhz.
