    Without a DOUBT the best instructional videos around I have only been driving 4 years and these videos are better than any truck driving school THANK YOU

    This is great stuff driver, I wish you had these videos out years ago when I was a new driver, trucking school is great for the basics but when you get into these situations as a rookie for the first time g.o.a.l. doesn't even help because it's hard to understand what you're looking for or how to correct or even what you need to correct

    Another great video - GREAT tips and phenomenal explanations.
    Thankfully I am local in a daycab nowadays, but I remember having to deal with this sort nonsense when I first started out OTR.

    The steering wheel doesn’t show up against the dark background very well. Another great lesson. Thanks.

    Stay away from truck stops. Park on on ramps, off ramps, side of the highway, or large parking lots. In Indiana, that's what we do. I drive but rarely go out of the state.

      In the rest of the country, you can get big fines for parking over night in those places. I got a $450 fine for parking over night on an on ramp in California.

    In the real world, in that first one, that peckerhead to your right would have his nose to the left and the trailer to your left wouldn't be straight. And that's why everyone was too tired to go for it.

    Hi David how are you can I ask you about Using clutch when you’re backing up are you put your foot on the clutch while you’re backing it thank you very much u are so professional.

  • @jacksonmarshallkramer5087
    @jacksonmarshallkramer5087 Год назад

    These park jobs result in an appearance on Bonehead Truckers. As the passenger side corner of the trailer starts can opening the truck on your passenger side and the airhorns start to blow, you realize your blindside parking skills really aren't up to the task of threading the needle at 3am into a parking spot that 5,000 other trucks have bypassed because they knew it would result in an insurance claim and unemployment.

    If there was a way to park in these impossible spots without your blood pressure reaching critical levels.

    During the 4th minute you backed into a spot that was tough but what about the next two spaces to the right of it? They look harder/impossible due to the trees/curb. Can you show those? Also another great video!!

    I have been watching a few of your videos and they are very informative BUT, when you have a trailer with spread axles you can’t do these hard 90 degree turns or jack knifes. You will end up popping your tire off the rim or your trailer will dip especially with flatbed trailers. 😔.

    • @MyTruckingSkills
      @MyTruckingSkills  4 года назад +1

      Thank you for your comment and feedback. I'll be honest with you, I've never driven with a spread axle. But I have driven a 4 axle for years, I figured they were the same really, maybe???. Hard Jack knifes are never good for the tires, always keep those tires rolling. There are just too many situations that you may need to do hard jackknifes. What are the alternative ways though? My goal to keep the a jackknife to as little as possible with every back, more control. I'll talk more about it in future videos.

    Hi I would like to know if it's possible to find empty parking spots at late night at truck stops and if there is an app which shows the truck stops with empty spots. Thx

    • @MyTruckingSkills
      @MyTruckingSkills  2 года назад

      As a matter of fact there is app for that, it's called Trucker Path, it's the closest thing to what you were looking for. It's not perfect because it runs on what other people report. Just please don't use the app when you are driving.

      @@MyTruckingSkills Thx a lot man. Is there a company cabin camera in every turck that watches the driver? Thx

    • @MyTruckingSkills
      @MyTruckingSkills  2 года назад

      I have never had a camera in my cabin, there are a few for sure that have cameras pointing at the driver. I would quit before they did that to me.

      LOL, I don't really mention that one been driving since 2002, and still going, mainly as a local/Hostler in a full size sleeper truck. I'm actually much better in the real world. I made this game because of my passion for backing. I've estimated that I've backed up well over 60k times. I have twice as many real life videos on my channel, drone view and all.
