Bro I cannot thank you enough, found your video and your method worked like a charm. I installed win 11 on 2 of my old laptops (one is almost 20 years old and the other is almost 13 years old). They're still good laptops.
Hey there my fellow South African. I am so excited about going to Win11 cause I have secure boot which is off now and I have TPM, but my AMD Ryzen 5 1600x CPU is not supported. I was so unsure in the past about upgrading. But after watching your video, I feel a bit more positive about trying it and not have to worry about loosing my stuff and also updating Win11 when I have upgraded. Thanks allot buddy. You are awesome. Have a great day. We all on RUclips watching your video appreciate your time that you put into showing us that we can upgrade with our unsupported devices. I would still recommend that you back up your important data before performing a major Windows upgrade, a very interesting and informative video thank you for sharing.

Well that worked really well. First tried your other video and did not work and now know why, It was that i tried to do it with Windows 11 24H2 . Now it worked perfectly Thanks very much. Especially for a follow up video really appreciate it.
A+ for your directions. I tried the previous directions earlier this morning and it didn't work. Thank you for making an updated video. Trying this method now. (Edited to add - Just finished the process and it worked!) For anyone who has upgraded to Windows 11 from Windows 10...How is Windows "better"?
I find it strange that Microsoft won't let you install Windows 11 on unsupported hardware. It should be the decision of the PC owner whether they want to have this operating system on their PC knowing that there may be problems that Microsoft is not responsible for.
MS are probably gun-shy after the whole security dogpile they suffered from, up to a few years ago. One of the tech outlets estimated that ~95% of what MS got blamed for were problems caused by the user-not running Windows Update being one big chunk of it. Leaving problematic decisions in the users' hands is a recipe for a right PR mess-everybody wants to blame someone else :)
I tried this twice and it just freezes at 87% on the windows install. Exactly the same thing second time . Anyone know what could be wrong? Just to let anyone know that i figured it out. During windows install process let windows download updates, drivers and optional features or you might have the same issue as i had. All is great now and one of the best instructional video i have seen yet. Thank you memory tech........
Howdy. Great. I feel I need to tell. 24H2 would not install on my Fujitsu Siemens Amilo laptop. The install began well but when rebooting the original setup was restored. I believe the reason is that it is old. It has the BIOS Legacy startup. My workstation has UEFI. The upgrade was successful. Regards.

Since my old pc is on the default 23h2 with all the bloatware that comes with it, I want to also upgrade it to 24h1 without the bloatware and keeping all my files. Thanks!

My only issue I have now since getting windows 11 24H2 in my unsupported Dell micro optiplex 7050 i7- 7th gen T , is that I can’t remove 8.63 gb of windows clean up files from disk utility or run a clean sfc scan in command prompt ( both instances as admin of course ) . I do not know what to do . I reinstalled windows 11 clean about 4 times and tried checking cbs logs to see where any errors lie and still no use , even after yesterdays ( Tuesday’s ) week patch updates . Still no luck . I guess I’m stuck with a lingering 10gb on my OS drive that will not clean up in command prompt sfc scans or dism commands anymore ?
