    Thank you, this method worked perfectly on my older HP800 with i7-4770. I even ran it on that computer using Remote Desktop while running the upgrade. No hiccups and so far every thing is running fine. Only took about an hour, just be patient when the system re-starts and the remote desktop connection drops. Give it time to finish the install and RDC can re-connect.

    I want to thank you for this very simple video. It was a great job and it was very well done by using step by step. The only issue I had and it was my mistake was when I went into the can mode I messed up the first time by using an extra space in the command line. I use the following line: " setup / product server" instead of " setup /product server" . Once I figured it out it was so smoothly. So, it was my mistakes. It is working awesome now I have windows eleven and I am really excited. Thank you once again. I have already subscribed and hit my reminder bell. I look forward to other videos from you.

    Looks good though I am not sure if it will work on my 4th gen CPU or keep the license that I used to upgrade from Windows 7 to Windows 10. I already replaced the hardware on one PC and would really rather not have to buy new hardware again. If it was just a CPU that would be fine, but since you also have to buy a new motherboard and memory it gets pricey and then the cost of a license. Maybe it would better to just update tpo 23h2 as that is what a used laptop I just bought has even though it has an unsupported cpu.
    Too bad really has I have used this PC for a long time. I even upgraded th hard drives to SSD drives. It runs Windows 10 just fine and I really don't want to go to Windows 11 with all its Bloatware and Spyware.

      @@shawn2071 Afraid it's not that simple. Without support for that instruction, the code simple does not run on a CPU without SSE4.2. The only way around that would be to change the source code and recompile the kernel but only Microsoft can really do that. Or to emulate the instruction somehow but that would require a low-level hypervisor. I don't expect there will be a fix/workaround this for a bare-metal installation unfortunately.

    Just a heads up for everyone, 24h2 includes recall at the dependency level on file explorer. If you’re not familiar with windows recall, I invite you to research it. Basically Microsoft taking snapshots of your pc and storing it on their end for AI.

    Is there any way to install windows 11 24h2 without SSE4.2.

    • @jensdbe
      @jensdbe  2 месяца назад

      Unfortunately if your CPU is missing that specific instruction that is part of SSE4.2, I'm pretty sure that it will not be possible in the future as well as this is a real hardware requirement. It would involve changes in the source code to not use that instruction or some kind of emulation. I would not count on bypassing this so I think you will need to stay on 23H2 if you have an CPU that is >15 years old.

    Hi, many thanks for your video. My Dell Vostro 5468 laptop CPU is Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-7200U CPU @ 2.50GHz with 4G RAM. Heatlh check shows it passes other requirements except the CPU. I recalled your previous video that you did upgrade your RAM and also GPU before upgrade to Win11. Do you recommend to do my h/w upgrade as well? thx.

    • @jensdbe
      @jensdbe  Месяц назад +1

      4GB is on the low side, but that's already the case for Windows 10. From what I can see, memory consumption is not worse on Windows 11 so you should get a very similar experience as on Windows 10. I do recommend in general to go to 8GB or more, shouldn't cost much these days. GPU doesn't matter much for just the OS upgrade.
