Yo thanks for this I just bought a new PC for my work and needed to do a fresh installation to fix numerous errors it was giving. Without this I would have just returned the PC and told the user you're SOL.

This is still very dangerous to use. Executing a bunch of commands that edit the registry has the potential to include malware. I'm sure your file is fine, but saying it's safe because it's from Microsoft gives ppl a false sense of security.

I strongly recommend Fedora 40 for work and Cachy OS for gaming.

The issue with any VPN is, and to quote from iRobot movie "whoever controls the last hop of the network, has the data". VPNs only get you so far but it doesn't matter if the last hop isn't "private" or "encrypted". VPNs have become a misconception over the last few years and I can't entirely get behind them. Not unless you're also routing your data through Quad9, and also using encryption like how WireGuard VPN does, which can also be self-hosted or publicly hosted through websites that run them.

The fact you can't even select e region let alone country makes it useless imo. The whole point in using it is to access content banned in certain countries. For privacy just use tor.

Moved to Ubuntu, might try a different Distro in the future but I'm never using windows again. I don't like the idea of being locked out of my own system, I don't appreciate the mass amount of bloat and (spy?) software that is constantly being installed, something I didn't ask for nor something I want, which is ludicrous too me considering I had to pay to own the OS.
