So we’re just going to ignore the fact that he said the plane went missing in 1955 and made radio contact again in 1982. According to my calculations that’s only 27 years. Not 37
Imagine taking a plane trip when you get a vacation, you go through a worm hole and next thing you know you're flying over dinosaurs and you're stuck in the past...
Then you don't land but keep flying and wind up flying over the 1939 New York World's Fair. Then the next thing you see and hear is a 35 year old man with a very stiff and clipped delivery tells you to send up a flare if you hear an airplane overhead that sounds lost, because that airplane is from The Twilight Zone.
Actually we do know how fast you need to go in order to make 37 years pass. You can use a time dilation calculator. Travelling at 0.9999999998815 times the speed of light, or 299792.5 km/s, for 5 hours (assuming the length of the perceived flying time for the aircraft), the time observed to pass on earth by those in the aircraft would be about 37 years.
The saga of Pan Am Flight 914 is a work of fiction that originated with Weekly World News, a notorious tabloid that operated between 1979 and 2007 (the tabloid would later relaunch as an online-only publication). Weekly World News was an infamous tabloid known for publishing fantastically fictitious stories, such as a time traveler getting busted for insider trading, a man suing himself after hitting himself with a boomerang.
There was an actual documented account as far as I know from a British fighter pilot squadron that took off for a routine training or patrol flight, they then disappeared for anywhere between a few seconds to a few minutes, the leader noticed they weren’t where they were supposed to be and he said that they travelled to the future and he didn’t recognise the area
That’s a very bad paraphrase(not quote) of what he actually said and meant. It’s more about advanced science, looking like magic, to those who don’t understand it. For example: the “disappearing” allied planes in the WW2 battle for the Atlantic, from the German U-Boat crew’s perspective. When in reality the Allies were just fitting lights to their submarine-hunting aircraft, so they would blend visually into the day or night sky at will.
There was the story of a plane that started descending then suddenly disappeared. Emergency crews were sent out and nothing was there. 10 minutes later the plane appeared and landed normally. Can't remember where I saw it but usually brought up in these sort of things.
Is the bat boy Sméagol? Anyways, I was at a mall in Maui, Hawaii in June 2014 and I found a news magazine headlining that a Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 aircraft was detected under the ocean and that an expert was able to confirm it through radar images! I was almost convinced by it!

Well my great grandfather was in the flight from NY and my grandfather was like 15 or so, he hasnt found his dad since and he talks about it even today. He also tells that the last flight he took with his colleagues are also missing. They were flying to Miami.
I'd like to also point out that 1955-1982 is only a TWENTY-SEVEN YEAR difference... NOT THIRTY-SEVEN... So - either it was 27 years and it landed in '82, or it was 37 years and it landed in '92...
Once I flew from DFW to LAX and eventhough it was a 3 hr flight, I landed only 1 hr after we took off. I could tell by everyone silence when we landed that we had enter the twilight zone
The only “possible” way that this could happen is if the plane could go high enough and fast enough to use the earths upper atmosphere as a gravitational slingshot. That’s basically the only possible way to do that, any other way involves go in to orbit or going through the solar system and using all the moons and planets gravity to slingshot you at 10s of 1,000s of mph but this way doesn’t really seem legit because one, that spacecraft will never get back to earth, and two it doesn’t have earths gravitational field but if it did it wouldn’t be time travel.
