It's been over 8yrs and I am still traumatized about the things I came across and have seen on the dark web . I would never suggest anyone to get on the DW. It's crazy how we have so many sick individuals among us. Stay safe out there and protect your children and loved ones. And always remember to be aware of your surroundings. And always go with what your gut tells you. Never trust others too easily..
I just recently watched a animated horror episode about someone's experience on the DW. I'm guessing that the criminals behind it might pick off homeless, prostitutes, or runaways as their victims because they know that those people are often overlooked and ignored by society so they won't be noticed if they go missing.

@@SNKRIZE_ Well, I did a bit of research and it looks to me like those Red Rooms on the DW might not actually exist and are just Urban Legend since it would be difficult to livestream such events without being noticed by the countless undercover cops and FBI agents on the DW. The same thing with hiring hitmen or kidnapping people and forcing them to fight in secret gladiator arenas for online viewers.

1. Tor doesn't have any advantages with a VPN. There are 3 hops when you connect over Tor.
2. Tor can't leak your IP, hidden services don't use IP addresses based on how they work.
3. Usually the only reason people get arrested on Tor is bad OpSec, i.e. you pull a Dread Pirate Roberts and show your clearnet email in a StackOverflow post with the poster's username related to the first post about SR

What is seen can never be unseen
I’ve seen at least 120 dark web videos of just surface level things, such as torture, killings, hits on people on foreign streets being executed, it’s still very hard for my mind to process some of what I’ve seen I wouldn’t suggest going there if you haven’t already been there before. Me personally I’ve seen so many things down the deep dark rabbit hole of the internet that I’ve desensitized myself to the violent and unexplainable and horrific things I’ve seen on it but it’s not a healthy way of opening yourself to a harsher more secretive reality more so it can scar your mind and just have a lasting imprint on your mind that’s the only way I know how to explain it. I just hope and pray I can deter some people from going down that road because it’s very much so a road I wish was untraveled in my personal life but it isn’t so now I just live with it in the best way I can.

5:03 Yes it is better to use a trusted VPN with TOR but even without one it is not likely they will trace your IP. Though TOR is not perfect and sometimes an IP can be traced.
